Since a little while ago I have been a bit relaxed from the speeding cameras. And the other day I didnt notice that I was doing 150 Kph, and the camera went off. I was stunned! I was like “What the hell was that”. Then I realized it was the camera and so they started working again! So I was pissed that I wasnt paying attention, the funny part is that it took pictures of me and the guy in front of me. So I was going with the flow of traffic, but I can only imagine how many pictures it took the day it was switched on!
So everyone assume that the cameras are now operational! I think they took the time fix the melted parts! And I noticed a couple of times that they have been taking pictures again and again! So a lot of people have been relaxed about their driving thinking the cameras arent working. Since I got that picture taken a couple of days ago, Im wondering how the point systems will operate, and how they will be applied!
And yes I love Super Troopers!
I have been running around all morning from meeting to meeting.. I got back in the office around 1pm for another meeting. But while I was going around for meetings in Shuweikh the temperature in my car while I was stuck in traffic was 50C! It was boiling outside!
I was stuck in traffic and the A/C from the landcruiser was barely catching up! I was moving closer to the A/C vent because I was heating up! So many meetings, I think the best thing out of them was the cold water I kept asking for! And even in my work the A/C wasnt catching up! I think it was supposed to cool off for bit, it was slightly cool the past two days with the light humidity but today was humid and hot as hell!
We had a good time there! We shot a couple of different guns! I shot the .45 caliber and it was damn fun!
My friend shot a .40 Caliber and it was revolver with one hell of kick to it, with a sensitive trigger! It felt wanted to jump out of his hand! The .45 Caliber was different, you need to squeeze it all the way to let out the bullet! It was fun as hell! And it felt like a scene from Letal Weapon! The .40 Caliber was so damn loud that even with the ear muffs on I was going deaf! It cost me 5 KD and him 4 KD for 20 bullets each, and you can let the other person shoot no problem.
After finishing our round we went to the rifle range, and we picked the 5.56 Caliber gun because they were out o fthe 7.62. And these Sniper Rifles are damn accurate! I shooting them! 20 KD for 40 bullets between the two of us. And we got there with a lot of people taking shots. Which was fun watching them. When I shoot, I shoot really fast. It takes me 5 mins to shoot 10 bullets. But its maybe because Im used to that Rifle! The funny part is before coming to the this range I’ve never shot any gun before. We spent about an hour and a half there, and we could have been there longer but one of our friends wanted to leave.
The techi giving my friend some pointers, different ways to hold and aim the gun! Great help!
I love this sniper rifle!
I wasnt helping sitting behind him and taunting him! But I didnt forget he had the gun in his hand!
I think this is a good place to enjoy yourself! And the crazy part is seeing the girls that shoot! Some girls love to shoot!
You could take a look at the pricelist to get idea of how you will be spending.

My Ranking:
So a bunch of the guys were coming over to my place to grab something to eat and watch a movie, maybe play some halo! So that is what the goal of night was! So earlier in the day I picked a friend of mine and we went to get a few things!
I wanted to pickup a book from Virgin and couple of Xbox 360 games! And then go to Hawally to pick up a few movies, and then we would go back to my place! Throughout the evening people will be trickling over! So I wanted to finish up quick and head home, and I had an early start so I was good on time.
Picked up my friend and head over to Marina Mall, I got the book. And I couldnt find Halo 2 or Halo 1 in Virgin they were sold out, but I picked up Prey, and Chrome Hounds! Both looked really cool! The one thing the Xbox 360 has going for it is the built-in wireless controllers but it is lacking in multiplayer games! Lots of good single player games! Like Hitman: Blood, Oblivian, X-Men United, but still I want some multiplayer to play with my friends.. less like Socom and more like Halo 3! hehehe!
Anyways .. so then we head over to Rihab. And when I walked into the store in Rihab called Gamestation, I previously bought an Xbox 360 from those guys, and I returned the next day to pick up another one because it wasnt functioning. So I told the guy it wasnt playing any games and when he put in the other games he knew it wasnt working, so he exchanged it for me no problem. That was a couple of weeks back. So when I came in I just wanted to buy a game. Then the guy tells me that I opened up the XBox 360 and messed around with it. So when he was accussing me of that I blew up in his face in front of all his customers! I told him to watch what he is saying, because he sold me a defective product that I returned the next day which he tested. Secondly I have spent a lot of money at this store, do you not know who your customers are. I was pissed, and I told him when I opened the Xbox 360 the Profile was previously configured so I thought that it was opened for testing purposes by your store! And he said Im not saying that you did it, so I told him that if he sells defective products not to blame his customers! Why the hell would I want to break a damn Xbox 360. I want to reach over and strangle the guy. He was nervous and apologized everybody in the store was quite! Then I told do you have Halo 1 or Halo 2!!! My friend wanted to laugh! But then he was like no, the other store has it! So I want to the other store and I walked around! Turns out nobody had Halo 1! They only had Halo 2! so I go it! Went to the other side picked up a couple of dvds! some ok cinema copy some dvd copy! hehehe!
Then went back to my place and a few guys were on the way and we started playing Halo 2! and let me say that I am demon at Halo 2! At any stage on any level! always had a minimum of a 18 kill lead! And it ends at 25! Im not gloating! … No way I am! Im damn good at Halo! Challengers please come!
People kept showing up! Jokes and insults were flying around! Dinner was supposed to be at 9:00pm! A friend calls us and tells us he ran out of gas, and he needs the super super unleaded! So I figured out where he was, and me a friend went flying to the gas station! And all I had in the house was a small gas container which would suffice, and a tiny funny! So I thought a funnel is better then no funnel! I had dinner delayed until 9:30pm! We were flying! Filled up the small tank at the gas station! And we had to go through South Surra to exit on the highway behind him! I was flying over every bump! Couldnt care! The Landcruiser is TANK! And I was flying to the guy.. didnt want to leave him stranded for long and what was funny is that Range Rover was traying to race me.. and all I have to say is that Land Cruiser turned out to be faster! So I got entertained while taking care of this little emergency! So within 10 minutes we got there! Im a Rally Driver!
So now for the little problem! The funnel was too small and there is a valve that closes the gas tank at the top.. so we had to push it with something! Im went rummaging through the landcruiser like a gopher! Found some of the some tools in the back for the spare tire which we could use to push the valve open! And we found it! So we tried but the funnel was too small! And all I could think about was the damn food! If only we brought a water bottle then we could fill it up and use it! Then I remembered! I always carry a water bottle with me in the land cruiser! I open up the small fridge in the middle and Voila!!!! SOLUTION! Im like the McGuyver of mechanical situations! My friend who came with me was laughing and was hungry! and the other guy had some Gasoline spilt on him just like me! But we were laughing because we could hear the music from the LandCruiser.. cars were flying buy and just this whole predicament! Then we started filling the gas in the bottle and then put the bottle into the gas tank! It worked like clock work! and 9 bottles of gas later the car had a good amount of gas! And then we headed off to my place! We got their everyone was starving! And they started putting the food on the table! And we were lookint at it like hyenas! hehehehe! Drooling and everything! We destroyed the food and we watched Adam Sandlers movie Click! Which was pretty cool (I will be writing a review!)
Then at the end of the night people were going home, some had work, some were just tired! And while we were outside one of our friends raced the other guy out of the road in reverse! It was the funniest thing I have seen in a while! In a Fiat! hahahaha! You could here the turbo kicking in, and you could here him laughing! What an end to a crazy day! I was just happy everyone was full!
PS. The car that ran out of gas was a MiniCooper! If the MiniCooper says that its empty! Then its really empty, and it stopped on him!
Sorry for the long post people!
Seriously.. what a night!
Update: Dinner included spaghetti bolognese, chicken fried rice, peking duck, and KUBAH! hehehehe! And we ate a hell of a lot! Cleaned it up! hehehe
I went to Hashi the other day with two friends. Its located next to Johnny Rockets above Salhiya parking. We walked in at 6:40pm, and there was just one couple there and the place was empty. We were expecting that since we came early and wanted to leave early. The place is nice, it is dimly lit with modern furniture. You can see the chefs behind their sushi counter.
The menu consists of two cuisines, Japanese and Chinese. We ordered an assortment of sushi and maki rolls, and then we ordered a couple of Chinese dishes. It took a little while for the dishes to come, but we did order a lot of food since we were hungry as hell. When the food came it looked good, just like the dishes out of a magazine.
We started eating and the food just kept coming, but the sushi dishes weren’t good. I had the unagi and some spider roll, and it didn’t taste good. I was surprised it didn’t taste good, but most of the sushis didn’t taste good we were surprised. But the Chinese dishes tasted good, and we were happy about that being good since the sushi didn’t do it us for us. So I wouldn’t go there for Japanese food, but the Chinese was good. By the time we were done we spent about 11KD per person, and I dont think it was worth it at all for the Japanese food, but the Chinese food I would go back for. And I did like that they have Voss water! I really like Voss water, it tastes good and the bottle itself is coolest looking I have seen!
Rating: (seperated into two for the two cuisines)

I dont know what you guys have had for breakfast before but Im the type of guy to enjoy my Frosties! I have always loved frosties since it put me on sugar high since I was 4 and bouncing off the walls! I still like it, and Tony the Tiger is damn cool! The one problem I have is something which involves the process of eating the cereal! Which is the KDD milk bottle.
Does KDD have any industrial designers? Seriously! Cant they design an opening which is simple and spill proof? The one opening of the top is good, but it makes me feel dumb, because if its new it will make you pull hard then you spill it. And when you pour it out, it spills EVERYWHERE! couldnt they think of another way which lets the flow out simply without me positioning the carton over the cereal so whatever is spilt goes directly into it!
Come on KDD all that money, and no industrial engineers!
I have been to a few places the past couple of days from work to visiting some family in the hospital and other areas as well. And I have been using the elevator to get the floors I wanted. I was at the parking structure in the city close to Restaurant 99′ and I was taking the elevator back up to the 3 rd floor. There was this Indian guy a few steps behind and then a Kuwaiti guy a few steps behind him. I already clicked my floor, and I held the door open with my hand, because I dont trust any old elevators in Kuwait to work the way they should, the first guy comes in, the Kuwaiti guy comes and at this point I move away from the buttons there is another guy coming and he sees us and I could see the Kuwaiti guy pressing his floor, and then I thought he is going to hit the open, but no he hits close. Then I asked why did you close it, you so the guy coming. Then he said “Mista3yil” (Im in a hurry), I told him if he was then should have taken the stairs because these are slow elevators, but I knew he was pissed that I said something to him. And I really didnt care that he was pissed! I was thinking if he resorted to physical violence I could take him! hehehehe! I got off on the floor before his so I went reallllyyy slowly! hehehehe! I know that pissed him off too!
Then I was in an office building in the city, and I was holding the elevator for some guy, and another guy was coming and he hits the close button as well. So then I said “Mista3yil?” in a very sarcastic tone. And I know the guy didnt appreciate that, but I thought to hell with it. He gave me a dirty look and I was staring him in the face, then he turned and looked the other way. Me 1:Him 0.
Then I was at the Muwasat visiting my aunt since she was feeling a bit under the weather. I went just after work so I didnt expect to see a lot of people. This time I got in the elevator and there was a guy coming down the hallway so I keep the elevator open. I hit floor 4 and he hits 3, and then I see a lady who seems to want to come on the elevator, but she is a few steps away and I know he saw her but he kept hitting the close button. So I put my foot at the elevator door and kept it open and smiled to the guy when she came in she said mashkoor to both of us thinking he was holding the door. He was giving me a dirty look and I was smiling! It entertained me that this guy was pissed off because he couldnt wait 30 seconds for another person to get on the elevator!
I think they should disengage the close buttons in elevators and see what happens to people in Kuwait. And forget about public hospitals the elevators turn into sardine cans, and some people are hitting the close the moment they are on the elevator! hehehe
I hope this would be some useful information to people.
Most people in Kuwait do not use credit, and have never had credit cards. In the middle east most transactions are done with cash one way or another. Loans might be taken for vehicles or other large purchases, but what Im talking about is regular purchases.
In Kuwait if you pay by credit card most places will add a minimum of 3% to your purchase. And even if you pay with a check card(KNET) they might still include a 1% charge to what your paying. I have run into this problem at electronic stores, cell phone stores, travel agencies, and even computer stores at Wala’a complex. I got used to the idea of using my credit card, and paying for the purchase later for the sake of building credit.
The problem we face is simple there is no real consumer rights in Kuwait, the people selling you items can do as they please and they are rarely held accountable. But charging you the percentage for the Knet or credit card charges is ILLEGAL in Kuwait. I spoke to my bank manager about it at NBK, and she told me that if a company is doing that and they have an account with NBK and NBK found out then they will suspend their account until further notice. NBK wants people to report to them if a company is doing that because its something very wrong.
The hard part of going about this is finding out which bank the store has an account with. So you have to contact that bank and tell them what the store is doing. This issue has been pissing me off for the past couple of months. And there are no consumer rights laws clearly written to protect the consumer! Its always about big business, and the ones that do take care of the consumer (which are rare) are the ones that benefit.
So the other day my friend came down the morning to get into his Dodge Durango before going to work. He calls me up on his way down, and Im talking to the guy about food and stuff from the damn morning. While he was starting up the car I heard someting in the background like it was a big explosion, and I all I could hear from him was *#$% *@#(* #$%*$ (I add words here).
He gets out of his car and there is a fat lump in his hood. So I while Im on the phone with him, I redirect my way towards his house and fly over. 10 mins later I am there! The battery inside the car EXPLODED! Literally! It caused a huge dent inside the hood, as if someone punched it from the inside! There was battery acid every where! I reminded me of the blood from Alien and you could here the hiss! So I called a tow truck, and I told him not to touch the inside of the car. It was towed to Al Mulla to have it fixed. Ok we thought they would call us with a reason.
He is one light and cautious driver, and he takes the car in for service and getting everything fixed at the dealership type of person. So they have all the records and everything has always done at Al Mulla even though for their bad service! His car for a four year old car is in pristine condition! If that happened in my Landcruiser I wouldnt be surprised since I drive it like its a tank (which it is), but then again its built by Toyota.
Then the Al Mulla garage calls him and tells him it will cost him 495KD to fix the car! To fix the hood, repaint, new battery, new air compressor fan (it was damaged), wiring was damaged, car ECU was melted/shocked, and a few other things inside the car needs to be replaced because of the damage. He blew up and I would have to! He was shouting at them like crazy! They said its not their fault, and it isnt covered under the engine warranty even though he just had his service done a month ago! They were being ass’s about it! And this with their company buying lots of cars from them, and him being considered a VIP customer. He is paying as much as someone would pay to have a Porsche Turbo fixed! He was pissed, but they said they cant do anything about it. He wanted to slap the crap out of them, and we knew they were over charging him on parts, but they said they already took 200KD off the bill. That means it was orignally 695KD!!! Thats crazy! And they dont know why it exploded, and they wont cover it! And this with him paying for extended warranty!
Lesson Learned: Never buy a car from Al Mulla!
He will sell the Durango when he can!
