I have to say that Im loving the cold weather just the way it is. I think the weather in Kuwait the past two weeks has been perfect. Its sunny outside and cool at the same time and thats what I love. Its fantastic when Im riding and the bike is keeping me warm instead of melting my legs, I want to go riding a lot but I havent had a chance to go riding the past week, I will be soon.
Now that its consistently cold I changed to the winter version of clothing for work and day to day things. There were a few days before where it got hot all of a sudden, but now its getting cooler and cooler.
One of the things I learned while in the US is always to have some extra cash in your for car for one reason or another. Just enough to get you by on gas or whatever else you might need.
I have seen it happen once or twice in Kuwait where the person didnt have cash on them, and the gas station attendees arent really going to be carrying around a wireless K-Net charger with them, I think they only have that at the cashier and thats if they have that. How many times have you opened your wallet or purse to be happy that you had enough cash to pay gas. I have come close not to having any except for being prepared. I always have at least 10-15KD in change in some compartment in the car. And it has happened where I forgot to get cash from the ATM and only a few are located in gas stations. I was happy as hell that I had some cash in my car! Its for emergency cases!
I think the worst situation to be is filling up gas and then realizing you dont have any cash and no way to get it at the time!
Three Games that I got from Rihab were:
I played Need for Speed with some friends and it was hilarious. Lots of fun game play and we were enjoying ourselves. The reason I got the special edition is because it has more cars and more tracks. I didnt mind paying the extra 2 KD for some more variety and fun. Its a good group game.
Now Gears of War, thats a whole other subject on it own. Its probably the best Xbox 360 game out since they made this console! The only game I could think that could top it right now would be Halo 3 but its going to be a while before we see that. I have just been playing this game myself not even on Xbox Live, I cant wait to try it online.
Companies in Kuwait seem to have a problem with the term service. There is no concept of it basically. All they want to do is sell their product to whomever wants it, and then they dont want anything to do with you. They dont care about customer retention, customers by recommendation, and other benefits of making a customer happy.
I can understand that there are some unreasonable customers in Kuwait, but they shouldnt alienate the whole country and only care about making a profit. Service has a great affect on the companies profit in the long term. I recommend certain places for certain things based on service, and I buy certain products based on service not just the price. At the end of the day you want peace of mind with the product you have not just a bargain, you want both. Whats worse is in Kuwait you get ripped off from the price, and you recieve no service.
This has been issue I have been dealing with non-stop. And if you buy the product then they should honor the warranty not me running around trying to get the product fixed. And whenever there is a real warranty issue they try to get out of it completely. There is no real consumer protection rights and that is what drive me nuts. There should be an opening for customer satisfaction with the idea of the Better Business Bureau being applied in Kuwait. I know thats asking for a lot, but could we at least start with something.
For those who were asking for the Dell contact in Hawally who gets what ever you want to order from Dell such as screens, laptops, and PCs.

He is an honest person and I liked dealing with him, and so did my cousin. He brings it down as low as he can. Sometimes you just know an honest person when you meet him, and it does help when you grill the hell out of him and ask him to show you the real cost of the item your buying, at that point I didnt want to rob the guy. If you want the same screen or any item like that he is the person to go through and it will take 3 weeks.

School Traffic or Work Traffic. Thats the choice you have in the morning.
I leave to work at 7:30am or 7:15am to get there at 8:00am in school traffic, and I have to say that the women driving their kids are nuts. I really mean nuts, they fly faster then me, and cut me off and everybody else. Its like the apply the rules of engadgement when driving and not giving a damn about the vehicles on the road. If there is any amount of space in the in front of me they cut me off. And they drive either really really slow or as if they are flying an F-16. Its not as if they dont have kids inside the car.
Then there is the work traffic with all the pick-up trucks filled to the top, and all the other trucks. They are a bit annoying but at least not life threatening.
I arrive at work at 8:30am instead of 8:00am, but it takes me 30 mins when leaving late instead of 45 mins when leaving early. And its also less life threatening to leave late then it is to leave early. I arrive at work 30 mins late, but I told them I cant make to work by 8 am because of life threatening issues, and my boss just laughs. He said you can come in at 7am everyday for week but you can never be here at exactly 8am, and I said if I get the work done then I dont care what time I come in and the guy just started laughing.
I always watch out for cameras when Im driving, but when Im riding its a whole other story. I usually go 20Kph over the speed and I know they usually dont go off. But when Im on the bike the past couple of days I go faster when I see camera to see if anything happens.
When the road is empty I usually cruise going 160 Kph, but now when I see a camera I go past it at least 170Kph+ I want to see if it takes a picture. I have passed at least 30 – 40 cameras in every direction to see if it takes a picture, I mean from Shuweikh all the way south to Bnaider, and even Jleeb Shyookh. All the areas in between, noting has gone off. But all the cameras that take pictures from behind when crossing a red light or speeding through an intersection work, I had one take a picture when I was going quickly through an intersection on a green light.
The only working camera is on Al Ta’awoon Street opposite Dar Salwa, where Shiekh Sabah lives.
The ones Im sure of are the ones that take pictures from the front. In Kuwait its funny they switch the cameras on when they want and switch it off when they want, or maybe its broken and they dont feel like fixing it!
I’m dying to watch this movie! Im a huge fan of all James Bond movies, but its killing me about the cut scenes. Some people say it isnt that bad, until I found out how many scenes they did cut.
The average movie is cut 3 to 4 scenes in Kuwait, which isnt horribly bad. But they cut 21 cut from this movie, the torture scene, every bikini scene, and everything else they could cut out. I would be pissed as hell watching the movie seeing they removed half the stuff. I can’t watch it like that, I would rather wait a bit to watch it whole.
