Happy New Year to people
Today was one hectic day flying from house to house and saying hello to the people coming in and out of all the different homes and it was freezing all day too! The greatest thing is seeing all these kids dressed up and they just want to rip their cloths off! hehehe!
I gave some 3ayady and its just funny seeing these kids that have no clue what these amounts are, and they are just adorable! I loved that the streets were nearly empty and I could go anywhere real quick with relatively little traffic. Then we had 3eed lunch and I continued my rotation of visiting my aunts, uncles, great aunts, grand mother, other relatives, and catching different people coming in and out. It was fantastic, and I don’t think I have drank this much tea, juice, and water as I have today. I don’t like sweets that much since I was looking forward to lunch but I was feeling tired towards the end of the day. Even my uncle said I looked like I was about to pass out and I felt like it. Tomorrow after sunset I’m planning to head out to the shalaih with some of my friends and spend a couple of days there, but we shall see what I’m going to do tomorrow. I will also try riding in the morning if I don’t have to visit anyone else at this point. Inshalla everyone is having an enjoyable Eid.
Eid Mubarak people, there are those who are traveling and those who have stuck around. I wasn’t sure if I was going out to the shalaih before Eid, but it turns out I’m here and tomorrow like a lot of people I have to do the rounds. Its going to be fun seeing family and at this point in time I have to give the kids the their Eid money.
One thing I have to do since I wasn’t prepared was to shave off the light beard, its going to be nice after a good hot shower and a nice shave. I’m honestly looking forward to that, and I’m looking forward to seeing all the kids who are going to be dressed up and running around. And I like that there is going to be very little traffic tomorrow.
What a day, we seriously experience four seasons in one day in Kuwait. Its cold, then a little warm, then it rains, then its sunny, and then suddenly sand storms. The one thing that i have found that make sand storms useful is cooling down the heat and thats about it. I was going in and out of the building at work for papers, phone calls, or other stuff an dI keep getting sand in my eyes or dirt flys across as if its slapping me across the face. It just didn’t help with today, and at that point I decided to go home and relax. There was nothing I really wanted to do at that point outside the house, Im hoping that the weather is going to be better tomorrow since Im planning to ride for a little bit, but I’m not sure.
I’m happy with what I’m doing for today, I went home and even before getting a bite to eat I took a 45 minute nap which helped quite a bit and I was still feeling tired. I also opened up the box to find my gear which was like my own christmas presents to myself. This is going to be some good relaxation this coming weekend.
I needed component cables for my reciever to connect to my Plasma screen. I wanted to see the quality difference between the two, and I currently have the reciever connected by S-Video to the screen.
I was too lazy to figure out where I could get them from and I didn’t feel like going into Salmiya because of the traffic. The once place I knew for sure that they would have was Alghanim Electronics since they had Monster Cables, but I was just hoping they would have everything in stock.
I went over there and found the cables, and I knew they would be cheaper online but I just wanted to use them now. Im tired of depending on shipping companies right now. So I saw the price for 25 KD for the 2 meter version and I knew it should be cheaper, but by how much I wasn’t sure. When I went to pay it was only 20KD and I thought that wasn’t too bad.
I got home and connected my reciever to screen and for some reason it wouldn’t work, but then I found out that the A/V reciever must have equipment connected through component for it to output by component. So I connect my Xbox 360 through component and started playing around with it. I have to say that I was amazed with the quality improvement. I was just watching a dvd for testing purposes on the Xbox 360, but then I started playing Gears of War for over 45 minutes when I should have passed out. It wasn’t late at all, but I was just tired as hell.

This is an extremly full featured A/V reciever with HDMI and every possible feature is included in this A/V reciever and one of the important parts that I’m taking a look at is that it upscales all feeds to 1080p out if the Television accepts it. The list of features can be seen at the Onkyo link below. The one thing that surprises me about it is the cost of the machine in Kuwait is cheaper then online.

I didnt have time to sit down today but my cousin called me yesterday to ask me if I wanted to go to the movies and I thought “on a weekday?!?!?!… why the hell not!” I need a change.. a complete change to my usual schedule throughout the week and I have to say that I really needed it. I was running around all monday on the phone, meeting people, and shooting emails whenever possible. It was insane! I didn’t have time to breath all day, and so I was looking forward to the movie, and then he called asked if 5pm is fine compared to 7pm. I said thats fine with me and I would make it.
He told me the theater we are going to is Muhalab, and I have never been to Muahalab in Hawalli before, but I have to say that the theater is HUGE! It was fantastic! We went and saw Eragon and I was happy as hell that we were in the theater. The theater was fit for 200 and I think there was a max of 14 people in there! It was fantastic! The movie finish 6:50pm and so we headed back to my cousins place to get some grub and watch something else.
And we chose Smallville. I have to say that Lois Lane is soooooooo much hotter then Lana Lang, since she entered the picture Im not that much interested in Lana Lang anymore! I love her tough girl attitude and her hard ass thing to her! Its like she would kick your ass if she likes you sort of attitude, and the relationship between her and Clark is fantastic! hehe..
It was a nice chill day.
