Oddly enough this week I was searching for an anime torrent and within the search results were torrentz and torrentspy. I just opened the first few to see what were the seeders and leechers not paying attention to which torrent website I was looking at.
As I was looking through the tabs I noticed TorrentSpy and Torrentz which were blocked by Qnet only a month ago is now open. Both Torrentspy and Torrentz are available to be searched at this point which is surprising, it seems that this was a mistake rather then something on their part, I really doubt that someone removed these websites from a list. This turn of events has made me happy since now we can search for some good torrents if we need to at this point.

I got a request for some help for blood donation. Please people this man is in need of help with blood donations.
Cardiac Hospital (Mostashfa Al Sadri)
Name: Yousif Ahmed Yaqoub Alqabandi
File Number: 151308
Blood Type: B-
When you go to donate blood at the Blood Bank in Jabriya you can specify who it is for and they will see if your blood is eligible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
People don’t realize that we are short on blood in Kuwait, there aren’t enough blood donations and there isn’t enough awareness regarding it. If you can donate then please donate, you will be helping somebody at some point in time.
Thanks to Frankom for pointing this out to me as well, it seems that NBK is specifically blocking me! I have no idea how they have reached the conclusion of blocking my Blog, but I find it funny they have made that much effort to block one single Blog. I don’t know others maybe blocked as well. At this point I don’t know how many more will start blocking me and if they will unblock. I am curious to the reason why they are blocking me.
I went to the Audi R8 launch with K.TheKuwaiti on Wednesday around 6 pm and I have to say that pictures don’t do this machine justice. It is a beautiful work of art and sculpted perfectly in every way. A lot of technology has been integrated into it, and I have to say that I love the gear shifter, it really feels like a machine that is meant to fly. The R8 is larger in real life then I thought it would be, and it also has a very nice interior for a race oriented sports car. It has the true Audi touches which make this one beautiful vehicle. The vehicle is going into production in July, and there are currently 30 people on the waiting list for this vehicle, and only a few will be coming into Kuwait by September. Amazing machine, too bad it was only a prototype and they wouldn’t have let us test drive it, I don’t think they would have even if it was the real thing, but it was nice to see. This event took place at the Sahara Country Club which is also worth a visit, its a very nice golf course, I’m not sure of the membership fees though.
Update:
The price is around 43’000 KD
My friend let me know that Commercial Bank of Kuwait is blocking my blog and 248am which I find to be hilarious. I have no idea why they would block us, but I’m surprised that we have reached the point that banks are selectively blocking blogs. Well there is nothing that I or anyone else can do about this, but this but still pretty funny.
I passed by this scene as I was driving down the 2nd ring road on Friday morning. There were 5 guys sitting on the sidewalk next to it. That is a cement pump truck and the arm is tilted in the wrong direction. I have no clue how it ended up like this but it must have been a slow tip over and it looked like nobody was hurt which is the important part, but still looks like a funny scene.
I just saw it on the news, the official holidays have been moved from Thursday and Friday to Friday and Saturday.
Starting from September 1st 2007 the official weekend will be Friday Saturday.
That will change everythinga around, no more half days for a lot of companies but work will be longer during the weekdays. So instead of 8am-4pm it will be 8am-5pm.
This will have an interesting affect on a lot of business and I’m wondering how retail shops will react to this change in Kuwait. Now all the banking people have lost that Saturday holiday they hold so dear.
This was an event I was looking forward to going to and its always nice going to them. This time I had to stay the whole time since the milcha is for a good friend and lots of people I know were there. I have to say that it was nice seeing some old faces and saying hello, I also made promises to go to the shalaih since I haven’t been going for a while and I will be going with my cousin. I will pick him up and head over this coming weekend. For some reason I still can’t eat food at a milcha I was too busy saying hello to people and walking around, this one was good and it wasn’t too packed but this isn’t the only milcha for this week. My feet were killing me at the end of the night and I was wanted to pass out from exhaustion.
After a long ride I decided to change into my swimming trunks and jump right into the pool, I saw no reason not even shower, I was hot and I need to cool off quick. I took my laptop with me to the pool.
As soon I got there I put my laptop in the shade, lowered the screen brightness, and then I put some lounge music on at full blast which isn’t too loud really. I have to listen to music when I’m at a pool, it just feels nicer! I jumped right in and it was an amazing feeling. Its like being wrapped up in a cold blanket which is nice, I started swimming laps back and forth, at one point I was just floating in the water listening to the music.
I came to the conclusion that this is completely opposite to riding, when I’m riding everything is going by at 1 million kph and I have to think of everything that could happen, all the possibilities, anticipate people’s mistakes and what could go wrong and counter it automatically and feel engine at the same time while my adrenaline is off the chart, its amazing, but in the pool I’m completely relaxed with my brain floating off to different and just thinking about different things and one thought pulling another. Just an amazing feeling floating and a few times I bumped my head to side because I forgot that I was floating. A very nice day and then I swam 15 laps more after relaxing in the pool. When 45 minutes was up I went straight up and took a shower, and I felt all fuzzy for the rest of the day. I think I will be swimming more often.
