Thanks to MSB for emailing me this document.
All the peopel traveling to or through Heathrow airport should take a look at this document. It has all the details about toiletries, what you can and can’t take with you. Baby food, electronics, and pretty much everything you can think of. This document was made by the BAA (Airport Security Regulation in the UK)

I just got this email from Lufthansa, I thought it would be useful for people.
From now on, passengers are not allowed to bring liquids or gels of any size aboard aircraft in their carry-on luggage. This includes
– beverages
– shampoo
– suntan lotion
– creams
– toothpaste
– hair gel
– other liquids of similar consistencyPassengers are still allowed to have the following items in their carry-on luggage:
– baby formula, breast milk or juice (if a baby or infant travels in their company),
– essential medicine if the name marked on the medicine / prescription matches the name on the ticket. These regulations apply to all flights to the USA with immediate effect. The items listed above must be stored in passengers’ baggage ahead of travel and checked in. Lufthansa recommends that its passengers reduce their carry-on luggage to a minimum and arrive early at the airport. To avoid delays passengers should refrain from carrying any liquids or purchase the same in Duty Free Shops regardless of the destination.
So flight through Frankfurt dont seem to be having any delays, but check with them about flights from Frankfurt to London.
If you are traveling through Kuwait to a European destination you can not take on any carry on luggage. The only items you are allowed are:
Everything else has to be checked in. Every gadget you have: mp3 player, camera, laptop, lip gloss, liquids(very techinical gadget), everything. And yes for those of you wondering, no make up!
They are implementing it for all airlines going to Europe and the States, and they think they are going to enforce this rule for travel within the GCC as well. So you cant carry anything. I just heard this from a friend it he Civil Aviation. Things are going to get crazy at Kuwait Airport, I dont know what is happening at other airports.
You can carry a book, and magazines with you, but I dont think anything else!
Update: No problems bringing a carry-on on GCC flights. Still banned on European flights. They are fine tuning the details! Still more to come.
I give this place 3 out of 5
This restaurant is located in Emirate Towers, and it conveniently located on the ground floor. Its a mix of Chinese and Thai food. The atmosphere is very nice, and they have a few tables for people to sit at, but usually you sit on benchs with other people so its pretty different. When you order there is chart and a pen for you to Mark what you want. There are lots of waitresses running around left and right, so its got a fun feeling to it! I ordered a different variety of dishs on the menu. And I got a 7-up, just really felt like it. They had a lot of juices to choose from, but I didnt feel like it. The starters came out, and we started grubbing, then the food started coming out 20 mins later. We were hungry as hell!
The Dishs I recommend:
The vegetable fried rice wasnt good though! So I dont recommend that! The food overall was good, nothing great but it hit the spot. I will probably go back there if Im in Dubai, its a good place for quick bites. But we left there stuffed!
Rating:
This place is huge! Seriously you could spend hours walking around there! Which we did a couple of times, like I metioned going to Virgin Megastore, and their were a lot of stops in between in the mall! And then there was the movie theater! Whats cool about the Movie Theater is the Gold class seats which are real couchs! Lazy Boys! Not like the couchs in Leyla Gallery, and I would be willing to pay because of the uncensored movies!
We stopped at sandwich place for a quick bite, they had a couple of sandwichs which were pretty good. We just wanted something light to keep us on our feet, but there was a huge food court that needed exploring which we didnt have enough time to take a look at.
Then there the people who are skying the middle of summer which still surprises me everytime I see it! I didnt go in since I didnt feel like playing in the snow. I wanted to go to see more gadgets!
Alot more pics below!!
To say that I was shocked of the price difference between Kuwait and Dubai is a real understatment! I didnt think they marked up the prices this much in Kuwait, even for phones they have had for a while. Some details are on this post from the Phone Prices Kuwait.

Phone Rankings:
There are a ton of books everywhere! I was all over the dvds and CDs trying to figure out what I wanted and how much weight I could carry! But look at the amount of books! this place is pretty damn big, with a huge selection. I was just picking up book after book and reading through them. If you look at the second picture towards the right there are the brightly colored books which are the explorer books. They are seriously great! Lots of info especially for Dubai and how to get through the Red tape. I bought me a copy just to read through it and stuff.
So many books that I just wrote down to order from Amazon before I forget, but there were some stuff I couldnt resist buying. And I was playing around withe the Black MacBook which was selling for 6800 AEDs (536 KD). And it was so sick! I want to pick one up, but I will wait until I know what exactly is going on with the new OS. The whole Virgin setup there is great! The one in Kuwait is good, and it is improving I will give them that. But they need to put more effort into the book section! Make more presentable and putting new books where people could see them like the Dubai store.
Fantastic! I loved being in there! I miss just chilling at a bookstore!
This Hobby Shop looked so damn cool! Its inside Emirates Mall! Some where next to the electronics places opposite Karefoor (I think thats how you spell it). When I saw that store I felt like I shrunk and became a kid again! I wanted to run in there and buy the biggest R/C truck available and look for the first ramp to jump it off of!! It looked like a hell of a lot of fun!
I used to love Tamiyas! Because I had so many and I would always burn the gears out, and break a couple of wish bones so I would always use different car parts to fix other cars! They seemed interchangable! And I always wanted to get a Kyosho, but I didnt! And there were a lot of helicopters in this store! So many! And they were huge!
More Pictures Below!
I wanted to thank sexygoba for giving pointers of where to go in Dubai! I went to Bur Dubai after taking a look at phone prices in Emeriates Mall! And I went to a couple of restaurants at night which she also recommended!
Three restaurants that I enjoyed were:
Electronics:
I also found out that phones in Dubai are rediculously cheaper which I shall be posting a comparison about soon. And the Black MacBook costs 6800 AED which comes out to 536 KD. And electronics wise they have a lot of options for you, I love going into the computer stores there! I feel like I want to walk out with something but I wasnt sure what! They had D-Link, Linksys, Netgear, Buffalo, and Hawking wireless products with all the different models that they carry not just a select few like in Kuwait. The one thing that is cheaper to buy online is the memory chips. Your better off buying online.
The one thing I did love was watching a movie in the gold class seating! That was fantastic and uncensored! The seat was more like a relaxed couch! A lot better then Layla Gallery! But they charge 8 KD for the Gold class seats but they are well worth it! And so many uncensored movies to choose from. But the funny part is that they censored some magazines which I didnt why they are selling them in the first place. They blacked out a couple of pictures in Maxim and Stuff magazine and I dont even understand why they even have them? These magazines are mostly women posing with as little as legally cloths as possible with funny articles all over the places. And they blacked out 1 out of every 10 pictures which seemed funny to me. I dont get their criteria for censorship, but at least they have a ton of books! Loved walking through the Virgin Megastore couldnt get enough of the books in their! I wanted to buy a lot of books but then I remembered that my bag will be extremely heavy if I did that! I will be posting a lot of pictures later on in the day!
Another thing that was cool is that people drive decently over there. Some people cut you off and their are the few crazy ones, but over all people are pretty good about it. No crazy stuff. I saw a couple of normal motorcycles riding around which made me want to ride. There were a lot of the devlivery motorcycles running around, the ones that look like the Domino Pizza Delivery type motorcycle! It was funny what some of these guys were doing while riding. They thought it was India where they could drive slowly down the highway and talk, they were lucky they werent in Kuwait!
