This is one place that reminded me of being in a movie, rarely do you get the chance to shoot these types of weapons let alone shoot at a facility this cool and entertaining. Most gun ranges have a small amount guns for rent and a few in Las Vegas where you can shoot some mean guns, but Machine Guns Vegas is a gun range on another level, lets call tactical entertainment because this isn’t your run of the mill shooting range.
You greeted in the open seated area, and we booked the Full Auto Experience which included the VIP Room and 8 Machine Guns and a few guns thrown into the mix. Honestly there was so many weapons to choose from and half of them I didn’t know but I liked the way they looked and we got a few recommendations from the guy working with us to shoot which guns and which ones are a different experience. There was one weapon which I thought was a bit too much for me, a fully automatic shotgun, that honestly was above my capabilities, so Bu Faisal took it and made some big holes.
The Guns We Shot:
Price Per Person was $575 and we were two people, took us about 1.5 hours to shoot all those bullets and it was well worth it. You have the gun range all to yourself and shoot as much as you can and you can keep adding more weapons and getting more bullets, the fun just doesn’t end. If we didn’t have a 4 hour drive back to Los Angeles we would have kept on shooting, it was honestly the best shooting range I have ever been to. And I love the targets, they were very creative, zombies and bad guys, and sometimes you have to save the cheer leader but you end up putting holes in her too.

Slept at 11 pm and woke up at 2 am to watch Superbowl 47, the San Francisco 49ers are at the Superbowl and I was extremely excited. The game had a horrible start to it and within the first half they had three touch downs. Kaepernick the QB who took the Niners to the Superbowl, my NFL Gamepass up and running, everything was ready.
Except I was lacking food and the bad start was killing me. The half time show from Beyonce was pretty good, more impressive then I thought it would be. Then at the beginning of the 2nd half things were still rolling for the Ravens, but then the power went out for 30+ minutes and then the 49ers got their mojo back.
It was a hell of a game, and well worth the lack of sleep. Also I ordered chilli cheese fries, buffalo wings, and a double cheese burger from Johnny Rockets at 5 am. And I don’t regret eating that at all. The game was so close I was going nuts, jumping at the screen, it was so damn close, really wanted the 49ers to win, its been so long since we have been to the Superbowl, but it was a good game by the Ravens.
It’s been a long time coming now, the 49ers are close, nothing left until the Superbowl and I’m crossing my fingers and praying that they win this one. They worked hard for it, they had a few setbacks but learned from it. This team is a well oiled machine, everyone put so much effort into this team, and the players pulled it together, with Kaepernick being the surprise for the 49ers. Patrick Willis, Frank Gore, & Michael Crabtree are my favorite players on this team, they are damn good at what they do and always pull through when they need to.
I want them to win the superbowl, its been too long and I promised myself that I would go to the superbowl if they make it. This is one you just can’t miss.
I made good progress from April until August, with moderate weight-loss while still enjoying what I eat in a moderate way. But when I was going on vacation, that went out the window, and I did have a lot of physical activites, but I left no item on the menu that I would have regret not ordering. I went to town and I ate what I wanted, didn’t think twice about the weight gain because I knew what I was getting myself into.
In three weeks I put on 11 KGs, and I will say it was worth every kilo, I got to have all the different kinds of Burgers I wanted from Downtown Dirty to Gourmet meat. I had every type of Chinese food to the point that the Mama behind counter thought I was her best customer. I tried anything and everything, and I ate popcorn every time I was at the theater, I was like a kid in candy land and I enjoyed every moment of it. I knew that when I get back home I’m going to have to eat extremely healthy and get back on the healthy path and probably regret it later, but at the moment I was a very happy man.
My simple plan now is to eat extremely healthy while I get back to the gym and probably go there more often, biking season is here and I did get a lot of new biking gear so I plan on wearing it, so I need to lose a few kilos to fit into them. I’m happy I did what I did, I just know that now I have to work pretty hard to get back on my path, starting at 109 KGs and heading down.
After the last two months I have made some decent progress and I’m happy where I have gotten with the gym, I’m even surprised I haven’t gain weight with some of the times I messed up the food plan. I’m currently not on a diet or anything specific, I just try to cut back portions but I still enjoy the food I eat. I have tried to be consistent with the gym and it has been the case most of the time except when I travel, even though I have tried.
Overall I have dropped about 6 KG of fat and gained 2 KG muscle, and I’m happy about the strength conditioning that I have gone through and it does make a major difference. Overall I feel healthier and better every time I leave the gym, and whenever I’m doing something a bit more physical I feel like i’m able to do it longer and I’m happy about that. The best part about the whole thing is that I haven’t really made major changes with what I eat, I try to be sensible about the quantities but I still have my burgers, muchboos, and ice cream every once in a while. And Thursday is always the day that I do major damage but I am happy with the progress. I think when I get the stage of major diet control I will end up losing a lot more weight. But right now I’m happy where I am and I love the gym that I am going to.
The past week I have been trying to go the gym a little more but with a lot of work, social & family events I barely made it to the two I usually stick to. I have some what managed to increase my strength a bit at the gym through all the work outs for the past 6 weeks but this past week I totally pigged out, my meals were totally messed up.
I try to keep things light at night but last week I ate way too much so this week I’m trying to keep it simple. There is one thing that I am very proud that I have achieved at last, one thing that I never thought I could do since I was a kid.
After all this time I managed to touch my toes while keeping my legs straight. That is something which I didn’t think was possible, but when I did I was extremely happy. My stretching capabilities have improved so there are a few things that are getting better and I hope to keep improving, also the key in my case is to eat healthy. Sometimes I have ridiculous cravings like Ice Creams or Burgers, or in this case Elevation Burger. I hope to keep this up because I am liking the progress and there are results, I just feel healthier and better.
The first time I saw the Nike Fuel was on my friend’s hand in mid march, and I was intrigued by it, I have seen a lot of those tools that tell you how much you have burned or how much you have walked but nothing like this. A simple designed product that can quantify your actions throughout the day. I know I was skeptic at first and I take the numbers with a bit of skepticism but it does something very well for me, it motivates me to move. There are types of information presented on the Nike Fuel Band, the time, Nike Fuel, Calories Burnt, and the Steps you have taken for the day. It adjusts your daily record based on the time that you program it for which I think is pretty cool. The LED’s give you an indication of how much fuel you have piled up for the day, and it does keep a decent record, the funny part is I know some people cheat, like they give their kids the fuel band to run around with so they don’t feel like they didn’t achieve anything for the day. Its hilarious that they feel the need to do that, this thing does make people move.
The Best part about is that it is somewhat water proof, I have done everything but swim in it, and I’m tempted to try it even though it says its not recommended I have online that some people have swam in it. And I love when you hit your goals for the day, you have 2000, 3000, or 5000 Nike Fuel goals and you have to enter your height and weight, and these numbers calculate based on the gyroscopes in the wrist band. People have argued with me that the numbers are exactly correct, but what they don’t understand is that it doesn’t matter, what matters is that with the Nike Fuel numbers you get a feel for your lazy days and you active days. You connect it to the USB to charge and it downloads all the information and sends it over to the Nike Website and presented in much higher detail the first picture, there is the month of March and I have hit the 3K Nike Daily Fuel Goal only 10 times which isn’t too bad but I think I can do better. Whats great is that the timing was perfect, just as I started going to the gym I got this product. It honestly just makes you less lazy, you just stare at the number and know how lazy you are. It’s a wristband that always measures your activity as you go about your day. With the Fuelband, you can quantify the consequences of your lifestyle. Honestly I think everyone should get one, especially people with iPhones since it wirelessly syncs the information to your iPhone, for me I have to plug it into the USB to upload the Data.

The weather change has ended the biking season for some of us, a few more people are still riding but its gotten a bit too hot for my tastes. You can still ride at night but I prefer to ride during day time. And now that switch over to sea activities has begun, at the top of the some of the guy’s list is sailing but for me its wakeboarding.
This past weekend going out on the wakeboard I didn’t think that I would be able to get up so quickly but luckily the past month in the gym has showed some decent results. I was up on the board right away swinging from one side to the other and pushing my luck as much as possible. I had a few interesting moments and some even more interesting crash landings as I was trying to jump from wake to wake. After 12 pm the weather changed and the wind picked up so the water got a little bit too choppy to pull the wakeboard on, but I was happy I got in some time in the morning, seriously can’t get enough of it.
The sun was hot but the water was really cool which was perfect but it also invited other creatures, specifically jelly fish. I got stung by one as I was swimming out in the deep water, I felt a tingle before I felt the sting, I slapped it away, I’m always afraid they will stick to you and won’t let go. I didn’t have a mark or anything bad, just a red mark on the area that it hit. Still I loved the water and wakeboarding was fun, but Bnaider turns into a water highway later in the day.
After going to the gym for the past few weeks I feel that I’m getting into better shape but I didn’t take any real measurements except for my weight. I dropped from 106.7 KG to 103.1 since the last week of March which isn’t too bad progress since I haven’t changed my eating habits too much. Then the other day the trainer at Inspire wanted to take detailed measurements meaning all kinds of ridiculous percentages.
The one number that shocked me is that I am 37.8% fat or 38%, meaning I am more then 1/3 blubber. That is just ridiculous, I was honestly flabbergasted, shocked, I didn’t think of my self as fat, more like big boned! lol! Still I was a bit shocked, I knew that I was working out and trying to be healthier, gain strength, but never thought of myself as that fat. I’m probably going to step it up at the gym and try to reduce the amount of food I eat, the key word being here is try.
The last few weeks have been a bit hectic with work family and also getting a bit of the flu which I decided to fight off with a combination of drugs instead of waiting it out. Through out all of this I have been consistent about two things, riding my motorcycle and going to the gym. Recently I have been going to the gym three times a week, consistently and I’m trying to stick to it.
I have really checked the scale over the last three weeks but my motorcycle jackets fit me better if that isn’t an indication then I don’t, well at least I’m happy. I don’t have a lot of time but I try to stick to a schedule with the gym, at least three times a week, I try for four if I am lucky. Usually there is a social event I have to go to or something that comes up but I have managed to keep things consistent.
The one thing about working out is that by the time I am done I black out at night and the last few weeks I have been sleeping early. Not as much online time as I would like, especially since work has been getting very busy. Still its progress, but I’m feeling pain in places that I never you could hurt before.
