This was the first anime that I watched and I knew it was Japanese Animation, I was watching it subbed since back then they didn’t have dubbed anime and I loved it very much. I enjoy the music of the anime would get my blood pumping but I was so sad for it to end at only 12 episodes, and so more then a decade later they decided to make the TV anime of the old series, I was extact and extremely looking forward to it. I was curious as to how they were going to change the story or what they were going to follow. Sho starts off in the same enviroment next to Mount Minakami, and with Tetsuro they discover the G-Unit. Things follow along in the beginning with about the same pace but things pick up quickly, the whole thing gets your blood pumping and you can tell your getting a larger chunk of the story at this point which get me more intrigued. The music for the anime is great, and the animation itself is very well done with a mix of new and keeping with the old style, I really liked it. The story was puling me in deeper and deeper since this time they are providing you with more and more information. I really enjoyed that. The ending of this anime was just as good as the original leaving you wanting more.

This show is about a covert army special operations team that goes on missions in and outside the US. They are a unit inside the US army who operate under a different directive and they perform their job well. This team doesn’t just involve the members of the team, it also involves their wives and children. Its a very interesting show, showing you the other side of the army and what they go through. The combination of the cast makes for an interesting start and from the first couple of episodes I got hooked. I didn’t know it was going to be this good, and there is a lot of action taking place as well as the drama taking place on the place which makes it a very realistic show. At this point I’m very much hooked on the show and I recommend anyone who likes this type of show to watch it. I finished season one at the edge of my seat and now I want more.

The Guild of Magicians is regarded very highly and usually only the nobility from different areas are able to send their children their to develop their talents. They rarely take people from the common folk because it is rare they have any magical powers which makes a difference, until this one girl, Sonea, caused them a ruckus and managed to break one of the magicians barriers without any formal training. So the story starts from there and it gets really interesting since you see both sides of the story and you get to see the underlying story of the Magicians’ Guild. I really like how Canavan made the setting so that you can’t tell what time period it is in, its as if its a modern time but architecture and engineering is fused with magic so it has a different type of development and your not sure what type of technology they may have. Also you really get a feeling for the characters but you feel there is more to them so you keep on reading. Then you feel there is mystery to the people in the Guild and to something happening in the background, you are kept on your toes and when magical battles take place you are imagining every moment. I read these books in the summer of 2005 but I was happy I read them then because I couldn’t put the books down and I was happy I had all three books, it would have been torture to be waiting for each book to be published, there would be nights I would read for 6 hours and just keep on going thinking I could sleep later. If you like fantasy then this is the type of book that you would really enjoy and the story is fresh and it keeps you wanting more, the ending is great and I became of the other because this was her first publication and I’m happy I found it.

I have always been a huge fan of Timbaland since back in the day and all his work with Aliyah. I have been hearing a lot of hype regarding this album and this hype isn’t even enough for this album. The beats, sounds, lyrics, and everything put together make for an amazing album. Usually you get 3 maybe 4 tracks on album that you like and thats if your lucky. I can’t believe that I loved every track on his album, it just gets my blood pumping and my mind going. So many different types of tracks that really shows timbalands talents as a musician and producer. I really recommend this CD for anyone who enjoys any form of Hip Hop, Rap, and RnB. Thanks Ananyah for sending it my way!

This is the movie following the original Van Wilder which was a huge comic hit a few years back. I still watch it and laugh since it was so good. This movie is a continuation of Taj who was mentored by Van, he is now continuing his higher studies in the United Kingdom. This takes a slightly different twist since now Taj is the main guy and he exudes confidence. This movie seemed to be playing more on the comical side then the original movie, but if you liked the original you will enjoy this one. This isn’t even close to the original movie but still very entertaining. Its a mix of American and British humor and has its funny parts, but its a movie see once, not again like the original.

Plot Summary: Five years ago, while battling an alien force known as the “Mimesis,” Dannar pilot Goh Saruwatari first met Anna Aoi. Today, on the day of their wedding, the ceremony is interrupted when the Mimesis strike again. As Goh struggles in his battle against the alien threat, Anna stumbles upon a top secret robot known as the “Neo-Okusaer” and uses it as a last-resort to save her fiancee. At that moment, Dannar and Neo-Okusaer merge to become the mighty robot “Godannar.”
This is a different kind of Mecha anime since there are multiple machines which are powerful but it is also the pilots who make the machines powerful. Goh is the main pilot of the Danner and Anna becomes the pilot of the Neo Okusaer. This anime operates on a few different levels and it has its sexual comedic side but there are some complex story lines to follow from the past that happened and what is going on. On top of that all the male pilots have to battle these monsters they are risking the possibility of being taken over by a virus that they contracted from being exposed to these monsters. You keep seeing the story developing and in the beginning it seems to be just comedic but it has this story beneath the lines which develops as you watch. The sexual comedy is hilarious though and it seems they can’t get enough of the women in this anime. So a nice story line with a good amount of comedy, its an entertaining watch if you like Mecha and slightly perverted comedy! I was happy I watched it since I saw a couple of episodes a while back and I just had to finish it.

Plot Summary:
Baki Hanma is a young fighter who yearns to follow in the footsteps of his father, Yujiro, and become the strongest fighter in the world. Thru that he trains tirelessly and fights constantly to hone his skills and develop his body to achieve these goals. Many intense battles lay ahead of Baki as he goes about his quest to be the best and ultimately take the title of “King” from his father.Hanma Baki, son of the strongest grappler in the world, is trying to claim his father’s throne. To do so he has to fight many; making lots of friends and enemies in the process.
I have been watching Baki the Grappler over the past year! It is one hell of an anime! When I started it off I had about 4 DVDs and I thought it would probably end around DVD 6 but I was very wrong about that. This anime is a full throttle no joke fighting anime with so many fighters who just want to put everything on the line for the last taste of glory. It is insane, you get really caught up with this anime. You follow Baki Hanma through his development from a grappler to becoming one of the most powerful grapplers on the planet, just so he could beat his father Yujiro Hanma. Yujiro is known to be the unstoppable monster and through out the whole series nobody is able to beat him and most everyone is killed or extremely injured after fighting him.
This is one hell of anime when you follow all these fighters who have dedicated their lives to perfect their style of fighting in one way or another. And following Baki through all his trials and the bond that he forms with these men that he fights until one of them falls. This is one amazing anime, the animation itself is good, but it could have been better, for a little bit it isn’t consistent, but the storyline and you get pulled into the whole atmosphere of the fighters. You hate some of them, you respect some of them, and you love some of them. That is how good this anime is, it pulls you into it. I recommend this anime to anyone who likes fighting anime with a really good story!

I have been waiting for this movie since I heard about it. This movie about the Spartans versus the Persians in early times before the Romans. It revolves around 300 Spartans led by King Leonidas who went to Hells Gate to hold the Persians at the coast of Greece. The Spartans are true trained warriors making all other fighters look like amateurs. This movie depicts the intensity with which they believed in Sparta and their conviction in it. King Leonidas is a man you would be honored to serve, and in this movie they are pitted against a monster of an enemy but they still fight. This 300 put fear in the hearts of thousands of the Persian soldiers.
This movie is directed by the same person who directed Sin City and has this different feeling to it then most movies, what is amazing about this movie is that it makes the Battle scenes in Troy look like they were nothing. It also turns out their bodies are the real thing and not touched up. This movie is only 117 minutes look but it feels so short, the battle scenes are so exhilirating it gets your blood pumping. You have certain characters you like, and you get a feeling for the life of Sparta but your senses are completely taken over by the action of these 300 hundred against the monster of an army in front of them. This movie brings history to life, so much amazing action, and you really are enamored by everything in this movie. It has been added as one my favorite movies I have seen period.

The Bristol is a modern business hotel in Frankfurt, and its really close to the main trainstation. I have to say that its pretty nice, and it has opened recently over the past year.
Whats interesting is that they have extra small rooms which are more like a high class cabin in a yacht then a room. I didn’t think it would be that compact, I never knew hotels had rooms that small. Two of those rooms made a normal room but at that point I didn’t mind since I was really tired and we were only staying a day.
They have wireless internet in the whole hotel supplied by T-Mobile so either you have a T-Mobile internet account or you can use your credit card. The people are pretty friendly in the hotel and it has a very nice ambience to it.
Usually business hotels cut corners in the kitchen, but not this hotel. Their dinner and breakfast tasted really good, usually in the restaurants they have a short selection of beef, but the Bristol’s menu concsisted of many different kinds of beef. I had the Veal Scalope and it really satisfied me after a long day of driving.
When your in the room it really feels German, in that it is efficient and does the job. You have the table for your laptop with one power plug. The bed is suprisingly comfortable with a little closet space built into the back of it. The shower has ample amount of cold and hot water. The one thing that I think they should upgrade in the room is the TV, its tiny, I think my laptop screen was bigger, they could easily get a large order of LCDs and hang them easily.
Overall I really liked the hotel and I would probably stay their again, but I would ask for a slightly larger room.

Plot Summary: The year is 1928 A.D. The place is New York, U.S.A. The economic prosperity brought forth after the Great War also heightened the presence of something far darker and much more sinister: the demonic Sinners. The Magdalene Order is an organization that tries to counter this force. Two of its exorcists are Rosette Christopher and her assistant, Chrono. Both appear out of place in an organization like this, and they are in a quest to find Rosette’s missing brother, Joshua. Their relationships, secrets and fates can only be revealed in time…
This is one hell of anime, the pace just doesn’t stop. Its between the Earth, Heaven, and Hell with Rosette and Chrono stuck in the middle. Chrono is a devil but working the Magdalene Order and he is helping Rosette to find her brother. Whats interesting is the concept of Hell’s role in the Universe and how each of these devils have different concepts and that they fight amongst each other. The anime is great, I love the songs used in the start and endings, and the storyline is easy to follow but still keeps you wanting more. It isn’t a typical ending, but that is what is so great about it. I recommend this anime for whoever enjoys watching anime, the anime will end and you will miss these characters.
