This is the first Sony Ericsson phone which is ultra thin and I think they have a very good product on their hands. There are very useful features which are integrated into the phone, and it packs a punch for a very thin phone. After having the phone I really do like it and it meets most of my requirements for a good phone.

Pros

  • Extremely Light
  • Simple Interface
  • A Phone, Not a Smartphone
  • Track ID, finds out the title and singer of 99% of songs
  • RSS Reader (Simple Setup)
  • Very bright and high quality screen
  • Powerful Bluetooth (Doesn’t disconnect from Bluetooth devices)
  • Loud Speaker
  • Great MP3 playback and play list capability
  • Alarm, Calendar, Notes, Tasks and some integration between them to see on your calendar
  • Switching from Normal to Silent profile is simple (Other profiles difficult)
  • Lots of details per contact (but limited to 5 numbers)

Cons

  • Short Battery Life (From Medium Usage it lasts a day, with heavy use it lasts less then a day)
  • Switching Profiles is a bit tedious except Silent profile
  • Buttons a bit small but you get used to it
  • Limited to 5 numbers per name and only a certain kind per number (A bit annoying)
  • Limited space for large amounts of text messages (You just have to delete)
  • Camera quality is not that good

Review: Die Hard 4.0...

diehard4.0.jpg

I have always enjoyed the Die Hard movies so I have been looking forward to this movie since I heard it was going to be made. Bruce Willis plays the cop that has been around for a while and you can see what he has gone through after all this, and they make some ties to the past but there is a lot to follow in the story. Its an action packed movie with the needed Willis sarcasm and humor throughout. I couldn’t get enough of this movie, there were times I was laughing and there times I was amazed by the action and the usual John McClane ass kicking. Whoever likes action movies or likes the Die Hard movies will love this movie without a doubt. It felt good seeing Bruce performing in this movie and they did justice to the past movies.

Review: Fantastic Four – Rise of t...

fanfasticfour2.jpg

I was honestly looking forward to the sequel of the Fantastic Four since the first movie was very well done and they were developing the characters at that time. This time it was more about what the Fantastic Four can do with their powers, and the introduction of a new character who throws things off such as the silver surfer. They did an amazing job with the silver surfer and you get to see what they are made of and what they can do. There are parts of the movie that they don’t follow the comics but that is what happens with a movie adaptation, they did stick to the original storyline as much as possible but they made some changes to accommodate the movie. Overall the story line keeps developing at a very steady pace and they did an amazing job with all the different parts. I really did enjoy what the Fantastic Four can do with their powers, and I really did enjoy the action involved with the Silver Surfer. I recommend this movie to anyone who enjoyed the first FF movie, and for any comic book fan. You walk out satisfied with the ending, but you know there is going to be a third episode.

Review: Afro Samurai...

afro-samurai.jpg

Afro Samurai is a mini-series based on a Takashi Okazaki manga. The series takes place in a unique world that is part ancient Japan and part futuristic science fiction fantasy. Samuel L. Jackson stars as “Afro” the solitary samurai on a quest to avenge the wrongful death of his father. Afro sheds no tears and knows no love.

This is an anime I was looking forward to since it mixes things up a bit, but it was even better then I expected. This anime is a mix of Ninja Scroll and Cowboy Bebop with the bloody fights, good music, great animation, and fantastic plot line. The anime is simple about a man who is avenging his father, and everything in his life has led him to revenge, this is all taking place in the futuristic feudal Japan ere. I just couldn’t get enough of it, and I was happy I had all five episodes on one disc. You have to see all of it, the animation is amazing and the plot is simple enough to follow but with all the intricacies tied in. A must see anime for any anime fan.

Review: Sicko...

sicko.jpg

Michael Moore has done it again with this documentary movie jumping right into the American Health System. He wants to know the people affected by the American Health System which is run by the Health Insurance Companies. I have to say that he does bring in some really interesting information as to how these Insurance companies operate and what legnths they go to, to make sure they get their way. He also brings into play people who have been negatively affected by it and what the system does to make things this way in the US. The interesting part is that lightly skims over other health systems in other countries which is a different aspect compared to the American Health system. The one thing I felt it was lacking information to round it off, fine you hear stories about people hurt by the American Health System but there is more dirt there that he didn’t jump into yet, and comparing it just to the nice parts of other systems isn’t good enough in my opinion. Overall its a movie worth watching, but he could have done a better job with more research.

Review: Zaion...

zaion.jpg

Plot Summary: In the future, a meteor crashes into Earth and brings with it a virulent form of life. This virus is known as M34 and attacks humans, turning them into vicious monsters. Most of the human population is wiped out, thus government agencies are formed to fight the virus. One of the groups, NOA, inserts nanomachines into the bodies of its soldiers; these machines allow them to transform and fight off the infected. Unfortunately, the virus mutates and becomes too strong for NOA to handle. Now the fate of the world rests in the hands of 16-year-old girl with the power to defeat the virus.

This anime revolves around the a virus which is plaguing the humans and they developed the NOA soldiers to fight off these creatures which are developed from this virus. There are two main characters one is Yuji who is a NOA soldier, and AI who has the power to fight off this virus. The way this anime is developed its too fast and in too short a time. The story of the NOA soldiers themselves wasn’t clear as to how they came about and where they were going with them. They were trying to create a complex story in just four episodes, there wasn’t enough character development to justify all they did. They tried incorporating CG animation into the anime and that didn’t work out too well. For four episodes it was a waste of time, this is one of the worst anime’s I have seen yet.

  • Very simple controls
  • Timer warnings at 5 and 2 minutes

Review: Alpha Dog...

alphadog.jpg

This is a true story about some young guys in California playing mobsters and gangsters. It is based on Jesse James who was the youngest drug dealer to be on the FBIs most wanted list. Johnny Truelove is the main character who plays the tough guy out on the West Coast, and one of his close friends is Frankie (Timberlake) and they are living the high life. Until one point Johnny kidnaps the little brother of a guy who owes him money. With different turn of events they befriend the kidnapped boy, but things are clear as to how they are going to turn out. This movie is better then I expected, and as it keeps going it gets better. I really wasn’t expecting it to turn into this type of crime drama, and things build up towards the end.

Review: Kyo Kara Maoh...

KyoKaraMaoh.jpg

Plot Summary: Yuri Shibuya was living a pretty normal life. That changed the day he was dunked into a toilet after an attempt to save a classmate from a gang of bullies. Instead of just getting a good soaking, he’s pulled in. The next thing he knows, he’s in a world that vaguely resembles medieval Europe. If that’s not odd enough, he’s told that he is to be the next Maoh, just because he has black hair and black eyes. The Maoh is the King of the Mazoku, who are coexisting not-so-peacefully with the humans in this world. Much to his subject’s dismay, he’s totally different from the rulers they’re accustomed to. He’s kind, considerate, a believer in justice, and not willing to use violence to solve conflicts. Not exactly someone they want running a country on the very brink of war. Now, Yuri has to deal with trying to become a good Maoh, while at the same time attempting to adapt to this land’s customs and culture, all in a world where the tension between the humans and Mazoku is reaching its peak.

This was an anime that I kept hearing about but I wasn’t sure about. It revolves around Yuri Shebuya and his introduction as the Demon King. He first thought that he was a normal highschool kid living in Japan, until one day he was warped into the demon world. Yuri’s soul has a lot to do with his situation and how he is related to the other world. The concept of demons is completely different, they are people part of the Demon Tribe in the alternate world and they are in conflict with humans. Yuri has his hands full, but he has a group of trusted friends who will help him through his journey as the Demon King, and to become the Demon King. You see the deeper side of him, and his alternate part of his soul, the Demon King come out to show his justice in the world. This is an anime which I wasn’t expecting to be as good as it is. The animation is good, and the storyline is excellent and you are always on your toes wanting to see the next episode. This is for season one, and now I’m going to see season two of this great anime series.
