The Simpsons Movie has been a long awaited movie for many people since its a show which has spanned almost two decades and across many borders. I have to say that it was different then what I was expecting. You can’t help get this mix feeling when watching this movie since you have probably watched this show for a certain period of time in your life. Homer is the usually klutz in Springfield who does what he does best, and you get to see the story develop as Homer messes something else up as usual. When watching you get a feeling of a familiarity so they don’t need to introduce the characters to you but just get a long with the story. The one thing off the bat is that this is the classic funny Simpsons that we all remember not the boring lame material of the new Simpsons show. The movie overall feels like one long episode but very enteratining and each part of the family playing an important role. You get to see every character the Simpsons have ever had in different scenes. Its a well done movie but it feels more like it should have gone to DVD instead of going to the theater but still enjoyable.

There has been a hype build up for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and from the start it is a very different movie then all the other Harry Potter movies. There is a split between the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts on the existence of Voldamort. This movie is different since now Harry has to overcome the hurdles of the Ministry and those standing in front of him in the Ministry as well as face the power of Voldamort. What is different is that a lot of the usual passive characters have taken an active role and are helping Harry through his ordeal. Harry in this movie is a more disturbed boy with a lot on his shoulders, with many secrets around what is happening. The difference is that the whole movie is completely just in Hogwarts so there are a lot of different places to see. The other Harry Potter movies had more of a story plot with a feeling of mystery surrounding Hogwarts and the students, this time it was a little different, even though it revolved around Harry and his friends I had higher expectations for this movie. I enjoyed it but it was different its not like the other Harry Potter movies which people might not like in this change, but still worth seeing.

I have always been a huge fan of comics, and DC comics had a great set of super heroes. When Cartoon Network started developing and airing Justice League I became a huge fan after watching the first couple of episodes. I tried following the series but I didn’t have all the timings down, and Cartoon Network wasn’t consistent. I’m happy that I managed to find the DVD set of Justice League, and they did a good job including all the features of the series and explaining the breakdown of the Justice League, how they came about to making the show, and explaining why they did certain things in the animation. They tried to get a pace to the animation and not go wild with too many concepts. The artwork resembles Superman the animation and Batman Beyond, but with a lot more characters such as Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, Hawk Girl, Jean (The Martian), and Batman. My favorite character is the Green Lantern, the funniest character is Flash, and the darkest character is Batman as usual. They had a big obstacle in front of them with this first animation since it is the first time to put so many DC comic characters in one show, and they did a great job with it. This show brings out the kid in you and every person that watches it gets warped into the show.

Review:

This British Airways flight landed in Kuwait on August 2nd 1990 at 4:13 am unknowing that Kuwait has been invaded by Iraq four hours earlier. This is a documentary trying to discover why BA Flight 149 landed in Kuwait after Iraq Invaded Kuwait, and the ordeal of the passengers and crew. There is also the case of the MI6 agents on the plane which would explain why the agents were on the plane. This is a great documentary about the events that took place in Kuwait, and what happened to the hostages. It is still very real for these people up to this day, many questions were answered but more have been asked. This is a movie worth watching, and gives insight into the mind set of the British Government during the beginning of the Gulf War.

Kyle XY follows a mysterious boy who looks like a teenager, but otherwise appears to be a newborn. The Trager family takes him in as one of their own.

I started watching this show about a week ago hearing that it was a good show, after watching it I think its an understatement. This is a fantastic show that ABC has put together, for once they got it right. At first you feel as lost as Kyle who is a lost person but then you realize that he is a young man with special abilities but with an unknown past who is taken in by the Trager family. Kyle is taken in by this family who becomes his family, and he is learning to be an adult from a point when he knew nothing, his thirst for experience pulls you in. He looks at the world so differently and you can’t help liking the character and the story is great. It is only 10 episodes in season 1, and the whole show is nothing short of fantastic, I recommend it for everyone to watch. They currently airing season 2 and I can’t wait to watch that.

I had high expectations for this anime even though it is an animated remake version of the Highlander story. The story starts with the life of Colin McCloud in his current situation and going right into battle. One of the main aspects of the anime from the start is the high quality of the art as well as the fantastic action. The story is simple yet very well done, and the anime goes back and forth to cover the history of Colin and his history with his rival. This anime can only be described as a combination of Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D, and the director is the same of Ninja Scroll and Bloodlust. It is one of the most enjoyable anime movies I have seen yet, and if you are a fan of Ninja Scroll then this is a must see.

Review:

Shrek is the movie I have been looking forward to watching for a little while now. Shrek had set the bar with comedy and there was a high expectation for this movie, and I have to say they did a good job with the storyline and the comedy. I really liked how the story was going, and how things developed. They managed to turn it into a funny story of all the other fantasy story’s characters tied in. I think this movie was better then Shrek 2 but not better then the Original Shrek, but its very enjoyable with some very funny moments and worth watching.

Review:

This was one of the movies that I was really looking forward to watching, and I wasn’t just surprised, my expectations were blown out of the water. Michael Bay did justice to the Transformers and he gave them a realistic feel with development to the story. The Transformers land on Earth looking for the Spark which has been there for over a thousand years, and the one person who can lead them to it is Sam. What is great, is all the little hints in the lines that they put which is known in all the old cartoons. The action was fantastic with all transformation of the different Autobots and Decepticons. I really wish there was more, or to be exact I wanted more. I loved that they gave a very good conclusion, but with a few scenes they gave away that there will be another Transformers movie. I think that any fan of the Transformers will love this movie, even a person who isn’t a fan will love this movie. I couldn’t have enjoyed more then I did, Bumblebee was fantastic, but I loved Iron Hides attitude. On another note Megan Fox is very hot, and is perfect for her role.

This movie revolves around two people, Samual L. Jackson and Christina Ricci. In a small southern town setting with the population so small everybody knows everybody else. Jackson’s wife just walked out on him and his little farm, and Ricci is an abused girl who has gets mental attacks which results in her searching for lust. When they cross each other’s pathes Jackson takes it upon himself to cure her of her sickness the only way he knows how. Its an interesting, and dramatic movie, the pace is a bit slow and I expected more from the movie. With Jackson in it I expected some suspense or something major but it turned out to be a little less then that.

The US was hit by nuclear attacks in major cities, and in the small town in Kansas they are completely cut-off from everyone at that point. Jericho is the small town which is isolated and they have to find out what has happened to the country and what they have to do. Jake Green is the main character in the show, and he is with his family when this all takes place, he came back after being out of the town for a little while and each person has some interesting history. This show starts off with this huge event and things move on from there, you see how the towns people interact and what happens when there is no law, you need force to enforce the law. The show just keeps getting better and better, with more twists and turns keeping you on your toes. At first I heard CBS was canceling the show, but because of the pressure from its dedicated fans they are bringing back the show next season to finish up the story. The final episode of the season leaves you wanting a lot more, and you really do love the show from the start to end.
