K stumbled upon this breakfast place out in the middle of no where, I have no clue how he exactly found it but we decided to go to it in the early morning. It was during our 38 hour escapade, this is the main reason for staying up and watching movies. It would be very hard to get this many guys up early in the morning so we decided to stay up with a movie marathon, a few people passed out but by 5:30 am few people were waking up.
All I know is that they have pancakes and breakfast, open from 5 am, if worst comes to worst we had an alternative. I had no clue how to find it, but K had some directions. We flew there enjoying the empty highway, it took us about 20 minutes to get there and you don’t see it right away since its just off the road.
You walk in and the place seats about 12 people max, and we were 8 very hungry guys who showed up at there door step at 6:00 am. Its a very simple place, with a simple yet diverse breakfast menu, we ordered pretty much everything that was on the menu, scrambled eggs, breakfast sandwich, and all kinds of pancakes. There are only two people running the place and its open from 5 am to 3 pm 6 days a week except Sunday. We were all hungry, and you get this very homely feeling about the place, it just adds to the flavor. And I think I was the last person to get his food, but it just tasted better.
It was a great meal, I just wish the place was a little bit closer. We were full driving back but the empty roads were too tempting, if you like breakfast then you will love this place, its worth staying up all night just to eat breakfast there and passing out the next day.
I always see every movie Pixar comes out with and this movie looked interesting. From the trailers, it seemed like there was no dialogue and the little robot reminded me of Short Circuit’s Johnny 5 from back in the 80s. So we decided to go see this movie on a Friday afernoon, and as we walked in the theater was 80% fill with kids, they were a little army of their own. The movie starts off as you get to know WALL-E and his situation, really funny character and nobody else in the world, he seems to be a pretty intelligent robot. As things move along another robot lands on the planet, and WALL-E is introduced to EVA. This leads WALL-E to the remaining human population. The movie is entertaining but it feels like the plots were not coherent, who doesn’t enjoy a little robot but it did feel like it was missing something.

I always tend to go to Will Smith movies, and this is another block buster for him. He always pulls off these characters perfectly bringing his charisma to the character. He starts off being the bum of a superhero, and I didn’t even know Charlize Theron is in the movie and she is pretty hot. The story is an interesting twist on the normal, and Will Smith is the bum with super powers. He has to clean up his act and be a superhero, the story does get interesting for sure and the action just doesn’t stop. It is a great movie and worth watching, but in Kuwait I think I counted 13 to 16 times that it was cut, sometimes 2-3 seconds and sometimes 10 second cuts it was extremely annoying.

Now this was a movie I was waiting for, the trailer showed a bunch of guys fighting. There wasn’t much that I needed more then that. Then there was Djimon Hounsou (The Guy from Amistad) and he was ripped, kicking ass left right and center. It is a very entertaining movie, with a good sound track, and very little brain functionality needed. Just watch and enjoy.

This story revolves around a Witcher name Geralt, he is special type of person. Monsters are around in different areas with different capabilities, when people need to eradicate the problem then he is the man that is needed. A witcher is a special type of human who is genetically and magically modified when born, then trained in the magical arts to have super human abilities and be able to use a certain level of magic. I was looking forward to the book since it got some interesting reviews so I was looking forward to it. Geralt is a very interesting character and you can connect to him, as the story picks up I keep thinking there is something huge that is going to get caught up in. The book is very easy read, but I the plot wasn’t completely clear, I thought they were keeping the best for last. Turns out that the story line is some what related between chapters but just an easy enjoyable read, there wasn’t a huge climax that I was expecting but still it was a fun and easy fantasy book to read.

I have been looking forward to this movie for sometime, but it has had some mixed reviews. Some people like it and some people didn’t, I wasn’t sure what to expect, the trailer looked good. It had an interesting list of actors such as Forrest Whitaker, Keanu Reeves, Hugh Laurie, and a few more. Keanu plays the role of a good person playing the role of dark cop in a dirty Los Angeles, he had to deal with a lot internally. Working with the Vice Squad he was the attack dog of the team, he would kill the bad guys before all the ropes they would have to jump, he thought he was doing it for the right reasons but his commander (Whitaker) had his own reasons to climb to the top. With all this it looked like there was a lot to the the story, as the movie picked up pace the story line was getting a bit confusing. At the end it was a very simple story line, but Keanu Reeves did an excellent job, it could have been a lot better, I expected something like Training Day. If you just want some action then this is an entertaining movie, Keanu pulls it off and thats about it.

Now that was an action packed movie, a bit senseless but really full of explosions. Stallone looked a bit old in this movie, there is something that just didn’t fit about the movie, but it was enjoyable. The only way you can describe this movie from beginning to end is that its a blender of body parts, an arm flying here, and a leg flying there, and it never stops. If your a Rambo fan then its worth watching, but I expected it to be a little better.

A unique movie to say the least, I always know that Mos Def likes playing the odd roles here and there. Then there is Jack Black and Danny Glover, a cast that made for a unique combination. It revolves around the local video rental store that still had VHS tapes with no DVDs, and Mos Def was supposed to take care of it for a bit with Jack hanging around something was bound to happen. Its a very heart felt movie with some wacky comedy, you feel they are very genuine characters and things just play out. It isn’t the funniest movie, but it is very nice.

The Incredible Hulk has always been an interesting comic from Marvel, a good guy with uncontrollable power who always causes collateral damage while trying to do the right thing. I enjoyed the first movie they made even though it was a bit slow, but it follow the comic book theme down to the letter. In this case it was a little different, you come into the movie from the get go, and the disaster has already occurred. Edward Norton plays the Bruce Banner, and plays him excellently, then there is Liv Tyler who plays Dr Elizabeth Ross, Bruces’ very good looking girlfriend, at least in this movie. The action is nonstop and you really enjoy the movie, the movie is in pretty good condition in Kuwait there were a few cut scenes but it was always intimate scenes so it didn’t take away from the movie too much.

I was always hearing some buzz around this movie, but I never really looked into the reviews. I always liked Kevin Spacey movies and didn’t think this would be very different. Its about how some MIT super Black Jack team took the Las Vegas Casinos for all they had through their perfect system. They were good with numbers and Black Jack is figuring out these numbers to win. Kevin Spacey is the great professor at MIT, and he works with some of the geniuses to make this team. The movie is very interesting but it feels like it just didn’t piece well together, there was a lot to say and a lot going on but I felt that movie could have been done a lot better. It was entertaining but nothing special.
