Ip Man is adapted from the life story of Ip Man, the grandmaster of the Wing Chun style of martial arts. This film is the first important record of the master’s life.
I watched a preview about this movie and it got me really interested. A true martial arts story with history at the heart of it. I will not go into the story of movie since it should be seen by every person who likes Asian movies or martial arts.
The best part is how the action is choreographed, I get annoyed with the recent movies how they make you dizzy with the confusing camera angles. The fight scenes were genuine, shots showing all the details, no camera tricks.
Also this movie didn’t focus totally about martial arts, it tells a story about a man who fought for what he believed in, even when it meant not fighting. They show some part of the history of China when invaded by Japan, and what he did to make a stand when he had to.
The later years IP Man spread the art of Wing Chun openly. And one of his most famous disciples is Bruce Lee.

A saga centered on a multi-generational family of New York City Police officers. The family’s moral codes are tested when Ray Tierney, investigates a case that reveals an incendiary police corruption scandal involving his own brother-in-law. For Ray, the truth is revelatory, a Pandora’s Box that threatens to upend not only the Tierney legacy but the entire NYPD.
I’m a huge fan of Edward Norton, and I also like Colin Farrel movies. Norton knows how to bring out the character and always choose these complex stories with difficult characters to portray. This time its no different, he is a burnt out cop from a family of cops and he has to dig into a murder investigation where four cops were killed. What he might find at the end of the investigation might rip his family apart. The storyline is simple yet it keeps you hooked, you keep wondering what he is going to find out and when. If you like cop movies then this is the choice.

Took the Wataniya Airline flight at 8 am going to Dubai. Drove to the new airport in Sabhan, Sheikh Sa’ad Airport, you can easily get to it and the signs are clear. The best part is not going through all the hassle of the old airport, I walked right through, they asked if I was first or economy. Took me right to the check in counter, and then right into the lounge. The lounge is very large, I preferred sitting at the lounge which had a view on the runway even though the weather was bad.
The Good:
The Bad:
Overall:
I think people are tired of the selection we have at Kuwait Airport, opening a new airport on its own is probably the best move they did. Its a premium airlines for medium to short haul flights which is filling an important gap due to the horrible service of Kuwait Airways, and their decaying fleet of planes. An airlines which has a huge amount of potential if they can keep their service at this level. They are lacking in experience and coherence, but they make for it in effort. There are still a few bumps to iron out, but the it isn’t a complete roll out yet. They will be opening up to the other routes, and at some point in time they will have internet on the plane. The lounge is amazing and very comfortable, the service in the lounge was fantastic, I wasn’t left alone at any point in time and if I was making a phone call they would leave the room to give me privacy. You are greeted by Marhaba service in Dubai which is a nice touch by I think it its unnecessary for the arrival, I think they need it for the departure rather then arrival. I am definitely going to fly Wataniya Airlines on any of the routes they open if I need to, I just hope they have a milage program soon.
I have to say that I am a fan of Netgear products, I needed an Access Point for our floor which would be able to cover this floor a little better then the other one. This would be connected to the router which has the KEMS connection.
The configuration on this Access Point is really simple, and Netgear has made the configuration screen as simple as possible with a lot of options. It does have a powerful signal once its all configured, I tried the security configuration and worked fine, but I prefer blocking by MAC address rather then Encryption.
All is great if it kept working, the problem is that this is the second access point of this kind that has failed from Netgear. I have sent one before for an RMA, and received this one, yet this one also failed. I do like Netgear products but their consumer line is lacking, their ProSafe line is excellent though. For now I am sticking to a D-Link Access Point which is doing the job excellently without any issues.

This is a simple story about a man who has a secret past with the government which he left to be close to his daughter. Once his daughter is taken he uses every skill he has learned during his time with the government to get her back. Liam Neeson pulls of the docile character with a father’s rage perfectly, you can’t believe what he does. The story keeps you on your toes and Liam keeps it going step after step, it has taste of The Bourne Identity but with a unique and convincing story. I can’t recommend this movie enough, watch it if you haven’t already.

Plot Summary: It’s been one year since the failure of the Black Rebellion and the supposed death of Zero. Britannia has assigned Area 11 a “correctional education” status, where Elevens are made an example of by brute force, to try to prevent any future uprisings and suppress rebellious thoughts. Unsuspecting high school student Lelouch, oblivious to his rebellious past as Zero, stumbles upon a scheme on his life and the life of a mysterious woman known as C.C., who reveals to him his forgotten purpose and his “true” self. Destroying his assailants and declaring himself Zero once again, Lelouch sets out to finish what he started.
This is a follow up of the first season of Code Geass, which ended on a very high note. Now Lelouch finds himself on the other side of the fence, and he has to defeat the King and find the a way to win against all these odds. The pace just picks from the following season, and some how they manage to increase the pace and make it better then before. You don’t realize what is going to happen next, and when you do its too late. I love that they leave you guessing at every corner in this Anime. Its one those Animes that leave a mark, you won’t forget the feeling it gave you any time soon. I even had a difficult time finishing it since I didn’t want it to end, its hard to find an Anime which can be half as enjoyable as this.

Tom Cruise does seem to find these unique movies, and he plays the role of the Colonel Stauffenberg extremely well. It is one of the biggest secrets kept during the WWII, a group of German men who looked to stop the atrocities which were being perpetrated by Hitler. This movie takes WWII from a different angle, from those inside of Germany hoping to save it from the brink of destruction at the hands of Hitler. Even with Hitler’s paranoia they manage to move forward with their plans. Stauffenberg pushes them harder as the ball starts rolling. It is a movie not to be missed which brings to light a part of history which was unknown.

Frank Miller made 300 and Sin City, so this was supposed to be a follow up of his creations. The Spirit is a man who has abnormal powers who protects his city and his arch nemesis is played by Samuel L. Jackson. There an assortment of characters and feels like something from the 1950s with the style of the movie. There is a good amount of action yet it didn’t satisfy me at all, the story line was interesting but there was still something missing. There are better movies out there and Samuel L. Jackson was pretty funny but I expected something much better then Frank Miller.

Its been a while since I have seen a movie as funny as this, there is nothing that could describe the amount of creativity and pure comedy that has been poured into it. The story is simple, these actors are almost at the end of their carears, one is a comedian, one is a rock star, one is oscar winner, and one is a rapper, and a few others tagging along. They are trying to make a movie like Platoon but the director gets slaughtered by all these mega-star divas so he decides to put them in the real thing yet they think its a movie until its too late. Robert Downey Jr. was nothing short of amazing in this movie, I was laughing my head off.

I’m usually a bit skeptical about Will Ferrel movies but I felt like a comedy which required very little thinking. It started off being pretty funny as usual, you get into the film knowing that there are two 40 year old boys who still act like 10 year olds. I kept laughing at how insanely stupid this movie is, I didn’t think Will Ferrel could go any lower. I was full and my stomach hurt from laughing at my friends’ reactions. I never thought watching a movie can make you dumber, but that is the only thing I felt after watching this movie. I really couldn’t believe they made something like this, it takes a special person to love a movie like this. It was funny in a very very dumb way and at times you just can’t believe it.
