Plot Summary: 2312 A.D. Four years have passed since the final battle between Celestial Being and the UN Forces. Humanity, after having established the Earth Sphere Federation, forms an independent security force, A-LAWS, separate from the formal Federation army to further unify nations and the will of mankind. But in reality it is simply inhumane oppressing anti-government powers, doctrines, and ideologies in the name of unity. Setsuna F. Seiei, after surviving the battle four years ago, has decided to once again fight with his Gundam.
Following a few years after the battle during Celestial Being, which I thought was a great conclusion. The writers of the story left an underlying story to be developed and it turned into a huge battle. The anime is fantastic but you have to see the original to follow this second season of Gundams to know whats going on. I didn’t think the first one could have been topped but I was wrong, this goes above and beyond. Setsuna progresses forward and follows his path, now the established A-Laws have fake GN-Drives so they are a match for the Gundams but the Meisters are the advantage. It doesn’t take long for the Anime to pull you in and get you hooked, there is never a boring episode. Each time something takes place you can’t believe what happens next, you want to stay up and watch the next episode. I really can’t recommend this anime enough.

Today I decided to go have lunch at the Avenues, to try out Hamburger Union with a few friends since we kept hearing about. Walked into the place, you can’t miss it, its right at the entrance of Magic Planet and I remember seeing it there for months with the shutters closed. We sat down in the booth which was a little cramped but we wanted the booth. People told me that it is a UK franchise, when I asked the head waiter he told me that is from UK but the menu was changed recently to fit the needs of Kuwait, I wasn’t sure what that meant but I was too hungry to really compute.
We ordered some appetizers, a few simple things, Curly Fries, Chicken Wings, and Onion Rings. The first thing you notice about the place is that its really red, I mean realllly red and a lot of the funky work on the walls was from cardboard which felt a little cheap but who cares if the food is good. I kept thinking about Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Pretty in Pink because the colors and setting would have really fit in the 1980s. There was a conveyor belt with two sets of seats going around it, it was just like the one at Slider Station but with a lot more seats, I always wondered how they made those things and how people got to the middle if they need to go in.
The appetizers arrived and I wanted to dive right in, everything looked pretty good but the portions were a bit on the low side. The curly fries were pretty good and the sauces were great. The chicken wings looked good but when I took a bite into them they felt a bit stretchy, as if they weren’t fully cooked, so I put those down. Wasn’t a big fan of the onion rings, it wasn’t that good either but the sauce was good. So the appetizers were decent but I was really looking forward to the sliders.
I ordered four kinds of sliders and a couple of sliders each, some had bacon, some had smokey sauce, shredded lettuce, cheese, mayo, and a few other combination. About 15 minutes later all the burgers came out, and almost 8 out of 9 had red buns which looked pretty cool. I took my first bite out of the Smokey Burger which had the bacon and the only good tasting part about it was the beef bacon, but the rest was a disaster. Each one of us tried the different burgers and the best one was the one with the bacon. It was really strange the burgers were really thin, you could barely tasted them, they felt really rubbery, you would just keep chewing them. The burgers were dry and oily at the same time, I couldn’t believe how bad they all were the quality was horrible. I could honestly do a better job make patties from Americana Patties, these were bad, for the prices they were charging I thought they were wagyu burgers but they weren’t. We couldn’t finish all the burgers we stopped about 2/3 through the meal and asked for the check. The food was really over priced for that mediocre quality, the price is what fooled me I thought they were using Wagyu meat but instead it was more like rubber. At that point I felt bad, there was Johnny Rockets across from Hamburger Union and I made my friends eat at this place for lunch. The only reason I gave this place even one star is because the staff was nice, but I wouldn’t even touch their food.

There is a lot that can be said about this movie, but I’m not going to spoil it for anyone, I only four words “Go SEE THE MOVIE”. J.J.Abrams has done an amazing job of making a Star Trek movie for the masses as well as keep all the little details of James T Kurk story, those who know the details will notice all the little things they placed in it. The action is fast paced and the story for being so rich doesn’t bore you at all, it keeps you interested at every point even though they had a lot of story to cover. The actors who were chosen for the roles were perfect in my opinion, or you could say their combination and flow was perfect and you could see it throughout the movie. I LOVED Simon Peg in the movie as Scotty, he fit it so perfectly its fantastic. Then there was the so many nostalgic moments from the music to some of the lines, it gets to you if you are Star Trek fan. Just an amazing movie, I can’t wait for the one after this one, I don’t know if J.J.Abrams is going to take the next one I hope he does.

I was a fan of the Underworld movies from the start, didn’t know it was going to turn into a trilogy. Kate Beckinsale didn’t have a part, Rhona Mitra was the female lead this time around. The story revolves as a prequel to the two movies, describing how the war between the lycans and the vampires started. I sort of expected an action packed movie but with a little bit more flavor to it. The action and storyline was good, it was a fun movie to watch but doesn’t come close to the other two movies. I think they had a more intriguing storyline because of the foreign concept of lycans and vampires combining. This movie was a bit of a disappointment in terms of the story but still a lot of fun to watch.

Plot Summary: Sumimura Yoshimori, a 14-year-old junior high school boy, is a descendant of Kekkaishi, or an exterminator of monsters He is vying for the heir to the family with Yumikura Tokine. Tokine is older than him, and she is his childhood friend as well as his rival Kekkaishi. To save people from the crises, and to make himself stronger, Yoshimori fights against monsters tonight, too.
This anime took me a little while, I expected to be a little boring from the start of it. I tend to want to finish anime even though it wasn’t the most interesting, but this turned out to be a great anime. Yoshimori is the legitimate successor of the Kekkaishi but he has no idea what that really means. They are protecting a land called Karasumori which has powers unknown to both the Kekkaishi and the Ayakashi (Demons), the Kekkaishi just want to stop the Ayakashi. The first couple of episodes are a bit boring, but as time progresses it really picks up and I flew through the last 25 episodes.

This movie has been worth the wait, and bringing Paul Walker and Vin Diesel back was the perfect choice. This is the fourth iteration of this movie franchise, the first one made a huge splash but this one is the best of the pack. A great story line, amazing driving and action packed car chases, with some great characters. You are kept at the edge of your seat through out the movie, I don’t want to ruin it for anyone but if you have any inclination towards cars, then you should really go see this movie, it is not to be missed.

I always watch Don Cheadale movies because I know that he chooses these interesting characters. I know that I have gotten tired of the Muslim always being the bad guy in the movie, except when there is a great storyline, this movie had that and more. Samir Horn (Cheadle) was caught for terrorist activities in Yemen, joining up with the terrorists to get out of prison. All the while in the US communication activities indicate that there is an imminent attack on the US or US government facility, the government task force trying to piece things together. Roy Clayton from the FBI pays special attention to Samir, and is interested in him which leads them to their goal. This movie takes a completely different track then expected, even when you can figure it out its still exciting.

Notorious B.I.G is someone a lot of us are very familiar with, we grew up hearing his songs on the radio and getting those tapes back in the day. I remember even watching the music videos on MTV when I was a teenager and bobbing my head to it, when I listen to song his songs I think about what they mean to me and sometimes when I first heard them. This movie revolves around the life of Christoper Wallace aka Biggie Smalls, and his experiences up to his death. First off the character they chose to play Biggie was a perfect fit, but Puff Daddy was pretty funny but he gets the charisma across. Who they chose for Tupac and how he came across was interesting, the story of Tupac and Biggie was brought across from Biggie’s point of view which you don’t hear much of. Why and How exactly Tupac and Biggi got killed is still unanswered. The movie is entertaining, gives you the different aspects of Biggies life in a two hour period.

This is a 65 minute animation that came with the special edition Street Fighter IV game for those who bought it (And those who didn’t can now find it online). I was very excited to hear about a Street Fighter Animation, I remember the Street Fighter 2V which was fantastic and engaging at the same time, the characters in that animation were fantastic. I had very high expectations for this anime and I was sorely disappointed with this animation, if they just wanted to release an animation with this game then they should have really worked hard on it.
First off they jumped right into the story without any character background assuming you know what the hell is going on. I do have a really good idea but a refresher would be nice, and on another note does Ryu have to be tormented right away. They could have done a better job concentrating on specific characters and developing them over the 65 minute period instead of trying to introduce so many characters. It didn’t connect so well and Ryu has another goal in mind, but the story takes another track which ends up too short and you are left at the end with too many questions, not enough to want more but annoyed you even watched. Also the dubbing of the animation was horrible, so with no feeling in any of the voices.

A dog who think he is a superhero wanders into the real world in the search of a friend. Bolt simply enough believes he has real powers and the people on tv are real enemies, until he runs into a few more animals. The movie just gets funnier and the best part is when Rhino the hamster gets introduced. As the story progress there is more action and the story unfolds, I find the pigeons to be hilarious, reminds me of one of our friends. This an enjoyable movie that you wouldn’t mind watching and get a few laughs out of it!
