An extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth suddenly finds a kindred spirit in a government agent that is exposed to their biotechnology.
There has been a lot of talk about this movie, and it is well deserved, my hat goes off to the director Neill Blomkamp for making this movie. There is a cliche part to it in the science fiction genre, but they manage to humanize the experience of these aliens and you can relate to them. I won’t ruin the movie with any spoilers, except that it turned out to be even better then I expected and it left me thinking of certain possibilities. There were a lot of humorous parts and some well done action packed scenes, I wouldn’t mind trying out some alien weaponery but I think that everyone should go see this movie.

A show about bad ass bikers on the west coast, don’t think they could have done anything wrong. I thought this show might not be as good as I was hoping but I was wrong. Sam Cro or Sons of Anarchy is a chapter of riders across the US with their base in Charming California, they come across as bad ass with thier gun running operation and very large setup. The story starts off with this but there are a few more developments and the story revoles around Jackson who is the VP of Sons of Anarchy and the President is his technical father, as his real father died a little while back. The surprising part is finding out the story has some similarity to Shakespeare Hamlet, and Jackson as Hamlet finds that his views are different then those of the current leadership, that Sam Cro could be heading to a bloody end and he has to find his way and bring his group out of the flames. A great show and it just kept on getting better, and season two is kicking off and I’m really looking forward to it.

My simple thought is that every man should read this book, and every woman if they would like incite into a man’s simple mind. This is an extremely simple read, it only lasted two days because its simple articles of conduct and the way of life that “Bro” should follow, and I know I will be reading it again for a laugh just to check a few articles. The best part is I have this mental image of Barney Stinson while reading each article and I could hear his voice in my head, makes me laugh even more. Its just a funny read.

I was contacted by Zain to try out their new 21.6 Mbps E-Go and put it through the loop and see what its all about. The packaging seems to be nice and small, got a post-paid chip to try it out, took it out of the box getting it ready to plug into my HP Mini 5101. Just to keep in mind the 7.2 Mbps connection of Zain would get around 200 ~ 300 Kbps, so I kept this in mind when I was testing it out.
Its the usual plug and play scenario that everyone is used to, and piece of equipment is even a little better with the new setup. Its a sliding USB connection so its nice and compact, this is the Huawei HPSA+ Slider Model, fits nicely in any bag or pocket even. When you plug it in the USB emulates a CD so your software is installed and launched right away. I went into the technical details of it and trying to mess around it a bit, I had a few places in mind to test it out. When I first heard 21.6 Mbps I took it with a bit of skepticism and thought why not try it out and see what results I get.
Plug it in, configured the connection for the 3.5 G connection and went to my FTP Server which is co-hosted in Europe(Secret Location) to see what I could download a few large files and see what I would get in relation to numbers. I picked a 2.4 GB file to download and it started off at 450 Kbps which is faster then a 4MB land connection, I was impressed right away, its faster then the old 7.2 MBps E-Go right away. As I gave it time the speed fluctuated between 480 Kbps to 960 Kbps, and then I took it a step further, I got into my car and start stopping in different locations to test it out from the 6th ring road to Bida’a to Salmiya and back. I was impressed, there is a fluctuation in speed but it held solid between a 4MB to 9MB connection at 4:00 pm on Friday which is peak pressure time on the network, and so I’m assuming that late night surfing or downloading is going to be even faster then that.
This isn’t a long term test, so I’m going to try it a little bit longer to see what else I can get out of it. Now Zain has an excellent product on their hands with the possibility of great service, they will be giving Internet Service Providers a run for their money but they have to do two things, price it at an acceptable price and keep the service level at a high level. The Japanese way of life is something I fine intriguing and interesting, they have a unique way of thinking and different approach to many things. Such as the balance between the Nippon Government and the Yakuza. Bob Lee Swagger is a retired Gunnery Sergeant from the Marine Corps who has a very comfortable life, until a Japanese man comes into his life looking for the sword of his father from WWII who could have been killed by Earl Swagger, Bob’s father. Bob has slowly started piecing things together from his father’s past and started getting all the pieces of the pie to find this sword, as he feels an obligation to this Japanese man but he doesn’t know the events that will transpire when he finds and delivers this sword to Phlip Yano. I really liked the character of Bob Lee Swagger, but after reading up on Stephen Hunter I expected a little more. The story was fun and I enjoyed following it but some of the pain characters just didn’t come across, they lacked depth and so when a few things were coming together I couldn’t understand the relevance. Also it just didn’t feel like Hunter really got the Japanese mentality down correctly, but overall I did enjoy the story and there was a lot of enjoy with the discussion about the blades. It was a story that kept me turning page after page, overall it was an enjoyable read but a few parts didn’t add up just the way it should.

Its been a little while since I have seen an animated movie at this level, I’m a huge fan of the Green Lantern but the producers and directors of this movie have done an excellent job with this piece of art. The storyline was well planed out, it is the story of the Green Lanter, Hal Jordan becoming the first Green Lantern of Earth and the short story of the Lantern Core and the Guardians. You get most of it from the start with lots of entertainment as it develops, and you are pulled into the story but the animation is something else. They really put their time in to make sure they had quality animation and this was in fact amazing quality, and for any fan of comics or who relatively likes this, this is a top rate animated movie which shouldn’t be missed.

It was one of those movies I wasn’t expecting to be this good. Russel Crowe plays the role of a reporter working for the Washington Globe and Ben Afleck is a big shot politician who just lost his aide who is also his mistress. Things go from there, and as he is working on one story it connects to another also pointing to Ben, who is also Crowe’s friend and he is trying to unravel this whole conspiracy. Its a fast paced movie, and I do like how Crowe plays his role in this movie, and you are always trying to guess whats next and never left without something happening and connecting the dots.

Movies such as these always tickle my interest, I always like watching these types of action flicks and I’m a fan of Channing Tatum. After watching the movie I was a bit disappointed, I was expecting some sort of Karate Kid/Mr.Miyagi type situation where he has to improve his skills one way or another but it wasn’t like that and the story just didn’t have the build up or the action that I expected. I liked the fight scenes but I something a little more, something with a different flavor that gets people worked up in the action.

Looking for a high resolution dual output DVI KVM has been a very long process. I have at least found one with Linkskeys’ KVM and I waited a little while for the price to drop too. The best part is that the KVM comes with all the connections for all the computers with Dual Display, so you don’t need to purchase any other wires. I have had this unit for about 10 months now and putting it through its paces, I haven’t done a firmware upgrade to it but I don’t really see the point since its working as need with a few kinks. This is a very heavy duty unit which can take whatever you throw it, 1080p movies, high paced games, and complete multi-tasking on multiple screens across multiple computers, the only problem I really see with it is the price thats the major reason why I only gave it four out of five, but over all its an excellent product.

I have been waiting months to see this movie but I was disappointed because of all the bad reviews that came out months before the movie even came out, so my expectations were lowered. Turns out they were completely wrong and I had a blast watching this action packed G.I.Joe movie. My hat goes off to the director and producer from turning a childhood cheesy cartoon from the 80s into modern day action packed film. I loved how you were introduced to the characters one after the other, and as the movie progressed you got to understand the story behind the relationship of some of these characters to help lead up to the story, it was building up an interesting climax, I wasn’t even sure how it was going to work out but the equipment and modern weaponry was really cool. The kid in me was more then satisfied, I was excited at so many different points and it didn’t disappoint at all. I was very very happy about the justice they did to Snake Eyes, they portrayed him perfectly and gave him the background story he deserved. I wasn’t sure though how the Cobra Commander comes into it, and how Cobra develops but towards the end of the movie it becomes extremely clear. I was more then happy to see the movie, I was satisfied, and the best part is that I know there is a sequel coming out for sure which got me excited, they laid the plans out for the sequel which leaves them open to do what they want. I know there are a few parts which crosses the line of reality and the rules of gravity, but its something I could accept and go with it.
