A slacker awakes to find himself weak and wrapped in a webbing; after realizing that the world has been taken over by giant alien insects, he wakes a ragtag group of strangers and together they fight for survival.
This is the exactly the type of movie that you have to watch just to laugh and enjoy, a decent story line, some bugs, the wimpy hero and the hot girl. What more can you ask for in simple entertainment, maybe if Bruce Campbell was in it would have been much greater but not this time. The best part of monster movies is the witty banter that goes on between the characters, looks like its the end of the world but they still want to hook up. Sometimes I do enjoy movies with bugs, monsters and big guns, this was the movie I was looking for and very entertaining even if it was a simple plot and lots of fun, if you are into these types of movies then you will enjoy this one.

People replaced with robots that can transmit all the experience they have with the five senses back to the human controlling host and can experience extreme action without any damage to the human host. That is the description of a surrogate and people have gotten used to using these types of robots while remaining at home. Any movie that has Bruce Willis in it attracts my attention right away, and this being a Sci Fi movie was a must see for me. But as the film progressed I was a bit disappointed, it was trying to be too many things at once, sceince fiction, drama, personal story, action, thriller, it seems they couldn’t decide on how the story should progress and who should they concentrate on to the point they pulled the movie apart and it wasn’t really much of anything. I was a bit disappointed at the end, I remembered how great iRobot with Will Smith was and how it had great action and got the story across with without tearing itself apart like this movie. Bruce tried hard but it was too much of too many things, making this for a mediocre movie.

A gun trotting Woody Harrelson in a land filled with zombies, what more can you ask for in a movie. I knew from the moment I saw the cover of this movie that I had to see it, and its as gory as you expect it to be and Woody Harrelson plays the funniest cowboy redneck character with a gun killing zombies for fun. Then there are the other characters who make it just as funny, even with all that gore I was laughing my head off. Just the exact type of movie you would expect right from the name, you won’t be disappointed.

Plot Summary: Ippo Makunouchi continues his boxing career and his goal on knowing the meaning of being strong, and the desire on fighting his idol Ichiro Miyata once again. Along him are pro boxers Takamura, Aoki and Kimura that each one of them aspire to their own dreams.
I watched the original Hajime No Ippo and it was one of those great animes from back in the day so I didn’t expect any less from the new anime series, but I was wrong. This new one blew it out of the water, I haven’t seen a well written anime like this in a long time. The characters were hilarious, you get caught up with the story, the style of anime fits it so perfectly, the episodes are short and sweet. I had to watch the episodes in bunches with a few late nights because I just had to continue the fight. There were parts when I was laughing so hard, and you get emotional with the characters, you know its an excellent anime when you really get caught up with it.

Now this movie was unexpected, its been a while since we had a good Sci-Fi thriller. The last Sci-Fi thriller that I remember freaking me out was Event Horizon and that movie left an impression. From the trailer of this movie it seemed that there was something going on, but a bit on the freakier side. Ben Foster comes out of his hyper sleep, but a few years over due and so does Dennis Quaid. One of the main problems faced in deep space is pandorum which is paranioa and pyschosis faced from prolonged deep space exposure, people with pandorum can react violently or think that everyone is against them and end up killing the whole crew on the ship. As all of this is happening they discover creatures which are killing off people and eating them, they are suffering memory loss from the prolonged hyper sleep, and the ship is falling apart. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat until the end, and there were some very interesting twists towards the end which turned this from a good to great movie.

Dorian Gray is a gentlemen who inherited his uncles fortune and moved back into London after finishing his schooling and living outside of London for a bit. The beautiful specimen of a man in English times and the woman did love him, but he had an interesting twist to him, he never grew old and the secret was still ambiguous as to how it happened. I thought this movie would have a lot of action, mystery, as well as drama but it was a little too dramatic for my taste and not enough mystery and action. I remembered the name because he is the same character from The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and so I had very high expectations but that wasn’t the case. It was a very good story but the two weren’t related as in the later he lived for hundreds of years and had a vampire for a lover but in this case the ending was slightly pathetic. I was hoping for more.

Every once in a while you come across an interesting piece of electronic/tool, the GorrilaTorch Flashlight from Joby. They made those very flexible and useful tripods for cameras and DSLR cameras, and now they made this flash light with the same idea behind it.

In the sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft, and in both wizard and muggle worlds Lord Volemort and his henchmen are increasingly active. With vacancies to fill at Hogwarts, Professor Dumbledor persuades Horace Slughorn, back from retirement to become the potions teacher, while Professor Snape receives long awaited news. Harry Potter, together with Dumbledore, must face treacherous tasks to defeat his evil nemesis.
At last I managed to watch this movie after such a long time, and it was worth the wait but I expected a little more. Harry has developed and grown, Ron and Hormaine are still his friends but they have also come along. The story revolves around Dumbledore trying to discover how Voldemort became how he is from the young student, and he would need Harry’s help. The story keeps getting more and more interesting, I like how Hormaine and Ron have developed in this story. The action is kept at a good pace and so is the story, and at its peek I was a bit shocked but the ending didn’t have the satisfaction I was looking for. A movie has to satisfy you and leave you wanting more, this movie was very good but the ending didn’t satisfy me, now I need to see the upcoming movie right away, it feels that I didn’t get a juicy ending.
Plot Summary:
Ayano is the heir to the house of Kannagi, a house with ties to the spirit of fire, whose members are all fire users. All except for her cousin, Kazuma. After he was defeated by Ayano, his father banished him from the house in disgrace. Kazuma ran off and changed his surname to Yagami. He formed a contract with the spirit of wind and becomes a powerful wind user. Four years later, he returned.Four years ago, Kazuma Kannagi was defeated by his cousin Ayano Kannagi for the right to be the successor of Enraiha, a sword passed down in the Kannagi family. His defeat, along with his lack of talent for En-Jutsu, the fire arts, the Kannagis’ specialty, resulted in his banishment from the family. Now, Kazuma returns as Kazuma Yagami, a skilled master of FÅ«-Jutsu, the wind arts.
I had high expectations for this anime, it just felt like the right combination of a story with magic and had ways to go in front of it. I always like these unpredictable characters, and Ayano was that character, and Kazuma had that hidden strength that I wanted to see but alas it wasn’t I got. The story line was a little shallow when I expected more and it wasn’t the development I was hoping for, a fun anime to watch and easy but there are a lot better anime’s out there.

In Nazi-occupied France during World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as “The Basterds” are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Bastards soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers.
I think Tarantino outdid himself this time around, this was a movie that I wasn’t expecting to be as good as it was. It was a simple yet deep movie, that was very entertaining with very colorful characters, a bunch of jews who went to France to terrorize the Germans and treat them with as little human compassion as possible, such as using their heads for batting practice. Brad Pitt pulled off Lt. Aldo Raine perfectly, the Mid Western American soldier who is there to kick as much ass as possible, and how simple stories intertwined to work for the Americans and how you can interpret the story of Hitler at the time. Lets just say that not everything was historically correct but it was extremely entertaining, Tarantino picked the right actors to match the characters and the best part is that you really don’t know what to expect, and your expectations are usually thrown out the window. A movie really worth watching and Tarantino did the original justice.
