Eureka!...

This show just keeps getting better and better, Season 4 was a very fun season and they just ordered season 5 for next summer. This season was a complete twist, things got really changed around and you were back with the core characters. The fun part for me was seeing that Fargo was running GD when he was just the assistant. I always love their science talk and how they managed to figure somethings out at the end, you have a good ending for the season and your left know that something bigger is brewing behind the scenes and hopefully it will be in the next season.

Review: Machette...

It’s one of those movies that are just over the top, and Machette is this unstopable man fighting for justice and basically killing the big bad guys and anyone who stands in his way. This movie surprisingly has a lot of big stars in its line up and they just fit in, and at some points its just so over the top that you can’t stop laughing. I honestly loved the action, its presented perfectly as a gritty rough movie, an amazing piece of work from Robert Rodriguez.

The list of people in this movie is just ridiculous, its probably the first time I have seen Steven Segal in a normal movie. Then there are Michelle Rodriguez and Jessica Alba who are trying to fight the bad guys and get involved with Machette, who seems to have a way with all the ladies period. Cheech Marin as the ass kicking padre who is incidentally the brother of Machette and helps him out in a pinch. Don Johnson and Robert De Niro as the crazy Texans. All out insanity breaks out and you just love every moment, and then there is Lindsay Lohan which I try to forget! A must see movie!

Review: Glee – Season 1...

Now that season 2 has just started I have to say that his was a very fun show to watch. Glee which is a music group in school are faced with extinction if they don’t win and this time around they have a chance to win. If you haven’t seen the show it’s well worth watching, I didn’t start watching it until summer and all the hype was well deserved. You are bound to get caught up with their musical numbers, there were times that I even got caught up with them even with my abismal musical talents. A perfect blend of comedy and entertainment with a very good story, I’m looking forward to season two. The best part of the show is Coach Sue Sylvester, she is hilarious and I look forward to what she will say and do in every episode.

Review: The Expendables...

An all-star cast of action-movie icons headline Sylvester Stallone’s explosive action thriller about a group of hard-nosed mercenaries who are double-crossed during a treacherous mission. Approached by the shadowy Church to overthrow tyrannical South American dictator General Gaza (David Zayas) and restore order to the troubled island country of Vilena, stoic soldier of fortune Barney Ross (Stallone) rounds up an unstoppable team that includes former SAS soldier and blade specialist Lee Christmas (Jason Statham); martial arts expert Yin (Jet Li); trigger-happy Hale Caesar (Terry Crews); cerebral demolitions expert Toll Road (Randy Couture); and haunted sniper Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), a combat veteran who never misses his mark.

Now this was a rag tag bunch of guys blowing up cars, buildings, and pretty much everything else. I haven’t seen a movie such as this in a long time, not much of a script except for some very fun characters with a lot of fighting and shooting. I was excited to see The Expendables and it didn’t disapoint, its not going to win an Oscar but you will enjoy what Stallone and his crew have to offer, a great enjoyable movie. I am a really big fan of the action genre and this has all of the best stars wrapped up into one package. It’s every action junkies dream.

Review: The Sorcerers Apprentice...

Master sorcerer Balthazar Blake recruits a seemingly everyday guy in his mission to defend New York City from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath.

Nicholas Cage as one of Merlin’s Apprentices and Jay Baruchel as the dorky New Yorker who turns out to have a magic in his blood. The movie is an action packed fun movie from Disney, with lots of magic and entertainment. I’m not the biggest fan of Nicholas Cage but he sometimes does a good job, with this movie its pretty fun but the bad guys aren’t developed enough so that you really hate them, and Jay plays the dorky character perfectly. It’s great when you have a character to direct your hatred towards but Maxim Horvath was more on the entertaining side, the magic was fun but not the greatest movie but I left the movie entertained.

Review: Spartacus...

Betrayed by the Romans. Forced into slavery. Reborn as a Gladiator. The classic tale of the Republic’s most infamous rebel comes alive in the graphic and visceral new series, “Spartacus: Blood and Sand”. Torn from his homeland and the woman he loves, Spartacus is condemned to the brutal world of the arena where blood and death are primetime entertainment. But not all battles are fought upon the sands. Treachery, corruption, and the allure of sensual pleasures will constantly test Spartacus. To survive, he must become more than a man. More than a gladiator. He must become a legend.

Below is a slight short warning of the show but it doesn’t even define the gruesomeness of this show, you think that it couldn’t get any crazier but it does and they set their limits very far.

Spartacus depicts extreme sensuality, brutality and language that some viewers may find objectionable.

The show is a historical portrayal of ancient Roman Society and the intensity of the content is to suggest an authentic representation of that period

This show took a quick turn for the better, it got a mixed reception of people liking it and disliking it. I for one wasn’t too keen on it from the first few episodes since the graphics seemed a bit cheap, but I was very mistaken, it takes a quick turn for the better and very quickly. As the statement above says its a graphic representation of that period, not the noble kind we are used to seeing of Romans but the raw and ruthless that would show of the time. The show revolves around Spartacus and the Gladiators, and it is filled with twist after twist. The show is just greatly thoughout and its different the show Rome that people might compare it to, its not for everyone’s appetite but nonetheless an amazing show which I’m looking forward to season 2 and not sure what to expect and the ending is epic.

Review: Batman – Under the Red Hoo...

Batman faces his ultimate challenge as the mysterious Red Hood takes Gotham City by firestorm. One part vigilante, one part criminal kingpin, Red Hood begins cleaning up Gotham with the efficiency of Batman, but without following the same ethical code. Killing is an option. And when the Joker falls in the balance between the two, hard truths are revealed and old wounds are reopened.

It always amazes me how much depth there is to the story of Batman and those around him. Under the Red Hood is a movie I have been looking forward to for some time, a high quality movie from DC Comics. Batman now faces a different kind of foe, someone who seems to be able to keep a step ahead of him but the story slowly unravels. The story is great and the animation is fantastic, I love when they make these high quality movies. I want more of these movies, and especially the Green Lantern. For any fan of the comics this is a must see movie.

Review: Justified...

Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens is a 19th century-style but modern-day officer, who enforces his brand of justice which puts a target on his back with criminals and puts him at odds with his bosses in the U.S. Marshals Service. As a result of his having eagerly shot a Miami fugitive in a “justified” shooting in his South Florida assignment, he gets reassigned to the district covering his rural Eastern Kentucky mining hometown of Harlan County.

Timothy Olyphant carries a certain type of character, and perfects the bad ass modern cowboy, shooting first and asking questions later. The show revolves around U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens who gets reassinged to his home town filled with hillbillies and are more criminally inclined, and his type of justice works perfectly. A simple story that is easy to understand, and gets complex enough to keep things interesting. Right of the bat its action packed with the special type of humor thrown into the mix, a fun show and I’m looking forward to season 2.

Review: Philips Bodygroom Pro...

My original Philips Bodygroom was fantastic, but somehow its broke and I’m still not sure how that happened. Then I saw Mark’s post about a newer version released, so I decided to purchase it from Amazon since it wasn’t available here at the time. I got it within a week, it looks cleaner and sleeker then before, and I really like the new update. On another note this is always a sensitive subject when discussing the nether regions but I don’t think so when you want to be clean, and this does it smoothly and safely.

Overall it is even better then before and I thought that first one was great, this is even better. So you have two sides, one is the normal Bodygroom type head and the other is the small trimmer. Two buttons to activate one or the other, you can have both on at the same time but I wouldn’t see why you would do that. Mine came with the American plug but works with 100-240 Volts so I just used an adapter for it. The adapter is simple and can be stowed, and it easily charges the unit in a very clean way. I can say that it is a fantastic product, and my recommendation is to use it with water and the shower gel for the safest and most successful trim of your special areas. At the time of this review I saw that it is available at XCite in Al Rai but I’m not sure how much.

Review: Opertion Endgame...

Two rival teams of assassins. One killer day at the office.

A battle ensues among Omega & Alpha spy of the government in an top-secret underground facility after their boss is assassinated. With The-Fool’s first day of work he has a lot cut out for him between these two teams.

Mildly amusing for the first 30 minutes, “Operation: Endgame” is a foul-mouthed spoof of secret-agent silliness. Set on the day of President Obama’s inauguration, the movie descends into a sterile, fluorescent-lit bunker to observe two rival teams of government assassins, all named for Tarot cards and all seriously disturbed. It gets right into the gritty mess as soon as you are somewhat introduced to the characters, lots of action and funny moments, you don’t get enough time to figure out the characters. A fly by movie with so many insane scenes thrown at your brain that you don’t have any time to comprehend the characters or even understand them before they end up dead on the floor. Honestly a fun short movie, watch it once and if you don’t want to think too much.
