The SCI-FI AIR SHOW’s purpose is to preserve and promote the rich and varied history of Sci-Fi/fantasy vehicles. Through display and education we seek to celebrate the classic design and beauty of these ships and the rich imaginations that created them. When the cameras stopped rolling, many of these proud old ships were lost and forgotten. Please join us in working to keep these rare and beautiful birds soaring!
An event for all movie and tv scifi fans, one they can only imagine. These are all photoshopped pictures of what a scifi air show would like, these pictures are created by special effects artists for film and TV. This event is in the mind of Bill George who worked as visual effects supervisor on six Star Trek and two Star Wars films. I would mind getting in the Millenium Falcon or a Battlestar Gallactica Viper.

I don’t know whether to think of this as not safe for work, or if its disturbing, or if its hot. These images bring new meaning to bony women, or starved for that matter. Instead of the usual sexy pin-up calendar you see at a mechanic’s workshop, you can now see these calendars in doctor’s offices. Taking models in provocative poses and using an X-Ray type photography machine to take the photographs, I’m still not sure where how to categorize this but some will like it, some will think its bizarre, and I don’t know what else you could think of it but thats creative advertising.

From the creator of NegativEffect comes The Hot Foot, real life reviews of machines, and vehicles. I love the motto of TheHotFoot “Reviews on anything driven by fuels”, passion for machines. As usual NegativEffects does wonders with pictures, and this time around its no different but you get a feel for items in the land, sea, and air. I really like the presented format of the reviews and machines, its really viewer friendly and very easy to navigate, he already has some reviews up, right now my favorites are the Aprillia Shiver, Honda Civic Type R, and the Nissan GT-R. I’m looking forward to seeing more of his reviews, I bet they are going to be just as fun to read and sea.

This is a fun a short video, taking light photography to another level in Light Wars. I love how they took the idea of the light photography and made a stop-motion gun fight movie out of it, well I think a stop motion movie at least. I just love the whole concept and the grenade is the best part.
I heard about the elephants all around London a while back, I read it somewhere online but never realized that they were going to place it in public places all around london. 250 brightly painted elephants around London, I managed to see just a few while walking around between meetings, or a few while I’m in a cab going across town. Each one is painted by an artist or a celebrity, the goal is to raise £2 million for the Asian elephant and benefit 20 UK conservation charities. This idea is genius and I love when they can get a charity together that gets the public involved, and later they will be auctioned off on the 26th to 28th of June. I liked some of them, but the one with the dog really got to me, every person has a story.

This is the Atlantis Launch from Cape Caneveral in Florida with two F-15E Strike Eagle’s patrolling the skies. This is probably the best view of any shuttle launch you can get, and these recent pictures from the sky are amazing.
Taking Matt Logue’s Empty L.A. and making a time lapse video out of it looks pretty good, still looks a bit eerie even with the light music. For anyone been to L.A. they will really know the traffic on the 405 and 10, being stuck in traffic drives you nuts, so the cars being off the road the whole day would be an interesting experience.
Another very cool time lapse but this one is of Tokyo and I like it more then the L.A. time lapse because of the night shot. This is all done using a Canon 7D which is amazing clarity at night. The best shot in my opinion is the airport scene, plane after plane landing in series.
Now this is as real as it gets, Gixxer85 from Malaysia painstakingly recreated the Master Cheif suit down to every detail. Then going to an abandoned building with his custom Spartan suit to be photographed by professional photographers. He even equipped his helmet to have an LED powered helmet and fans to keep him cool while wearing the helmet. You can see the detail in his armor and helmet, now I really wish they were making the movie.

Matt Logue is a photographer who took the “I Am Legend” concept of New York and applied it to Los Angeles. I love the eerie feeling of the photographs, another version of “I Am Legend” or “Resident Evil”, as if there is a monster around the corner and you should be armed to the teeth with weapons. I don’t know how he did it, taking photographs of Los Angeles in this manner is nearly impossible, LA is never empty, unless your a big budget production company and can shutdown half the city for a few hours but this isn’t easy to pull off.

At ay point in time I think every kid wanted to be a jet fighter pilot, and after watching Top Gun that pretty much sold it as the ultimate dream job. These two pictures taken by Staff Sgt. Aaron Allmon, U.S. Air Force and Staff Sergeant Michael B. Keller, U.S. Air Force and released by the Department of Defense. I wonder how these guys were taking these amazing photographs.
