MyAngryGirlfriend on: How to be a Pro-Ph...

If her boyfriend is a photographer he really pissed her off for her to make this hilarious video. Its so funny but some of it is pretty true that people really abuse photoshop to try to get the perfect picture. It’s a sarcastic take on the DO’s and DON’Ts of shooting, and some people are very guilty of the don’ts.

Canon Powershot G1X...

I try to take my DSLR with me whereever I can but sometimes I don’t have the space to carry all the Lenses then I want, so instead of that I take with me my Canon G12, it has alot of features and as much control as I need from a DSLR. Now the next iteration in the Powershot family is the G1X which is going to sell for $800. Its sporting a 1.5-inch, 14.3-megapixel CMOS sensor (the largest sensor to date for a PowerShot model), the G1 X should deliver amazing shots from a compact point-and-shoot body. The camera features an ISO range of up to 12800, a Canon lens with 4x optical zoom, an aperture of f/2.8 to f/16, and wide-angle capabilities starting at 28mm. The G1 X also has 14-bit RAW+JPEG support, HDR shooting, full HD 1080p video recording, a 3-inch vari-angle LCD, and a Mode Dial and Front Dial for precise control. So you have a lot of features packed into this camera, I can’t wait to see it in real life and maybe try it out.

Lowepro’s Messenger AW Series...

When your gear feels right, your work goes more smoothly. The Pro Messenger AW was designed with this idea in mind. It’s built to fit pro-sized camera gear in configurations you’ve told us work best. It has an innovative flap that effortlessly folds in half to quiet your moves and quicken your pace.

Compactly packing all your camera gear into neat package makes this bag series very appealing. I have one bag which I use for packing my camera gear but recently I have more gear then the bag can take and the Lowpro’s Messenger AW Series looks very appealing with different sizes for different uses. With the largest of the three, the 200, you’ll find the front flap pocket is large enough to accommodate two DSLR bodies while the main compartment features customizable padded sections to fit lenses, a flash and other accessories. Each successive model reduces capacity for different uses. For street and travel shooting the 160 looks to the perfect bag as it’s small enough to pack in the luggage but big enough to house a DSLR, one extra lens, a flash and other assorted items when you grab for a day of shooting.

Fujifilm X-Pro1...

FujifilmXPro1

CES comes around and all the good start showing up, the next thing you want to buy and this interesting camera is peaking my interest. This time around Fujifilm introduced a very interesting new camera, the X-Pro1. The new X-Pro1 will feature a 16megapixel X-Trans CMOS Sensor, with an APS-C format. This new type of sensor uses a Bayer color filter of 6×6 pixel (instead of the regular 2×2) to prevent the generation of moire and pseudo color. Basically it will shoot very cool shots and the camera looks retro which is function combined with looks, the best part is the interchangeable lenses . But its a bit on the pricey side going for $1700 and of the 3 lenses would cost $650 each, so by the time your done you would have spent $3650 on a camera which could have amazing shots. I will wait to see a few reviews, still I’m tempted.

Comic Panels Printed By BayPhoto...

There is no denying that I am addicted to comics of all kinds, and one the things I tend to do is while surfing through all these websites I would save high quality images. I always wondered how I could print them as metal panels, since I already had a few metal panels that I picked up from Chicago a year ago. After finding BayPhoto’s website

I went with three panels types of comic panels to print, Transformers, Comics, and Manga. I wanted to do the metal prints and find something reasonable and after going around Bay Photo had the best options. BayPhoto seems to be the place that photographers make their prints and they are professionals, my prints were packaged by Mike, thats what it said on a card inside the packaging, I liked the personal touch.

All the prints came out perfectly, I made some normal size print outs and some custom size print outs which I put over my computer screens, the biggest one being the Transformers G.I.Joe which look awesome. For $320 these prints were very reasonable and especially for the quality, and only one was a bit fuzzy but that was because of the quality of the upload and other ones were amazing. The Snake Eyes vs. Storm Shadow came out amazing, so much so that I wanted it in front of me when I was working on my computer.

The List Of Panels:

  • Transformers & G.I.Joe
  • Transformer Bad Asses
  • Optimus Prime Version 1
  • Optimus Prime Version 2
  • Batman & Superman Apocalypse
  • Superman
  • G.I.Joe – Snake Eyes vs. Storm Shadow
  • Mazinger
  • Justice League

Life In The Fast Lane...

A beautiful timelapse shot by Abdulrahman, its really crisp and smooth, there is something that that I really like about it and the blend of the different locations.

I’ve been working on this time-lapse for more than a month of capturing and more than a week of processing … The clips were capture in Kuwait , Australia and Egypt

Canon vs. Nikon – Double Exposure...

Yes I am a Canon fan and this is pretty funny. I think there are too many Battlefield MW3 fans out there so they made this.

Droplet Art Photography...

INCREDIBLE water droplet art photography of Heinz Maier is amazing, I wouldn’t know where to start with something like this. The work to get the lighting, colors, water, camera, and type of lens to get the perfect picture takes a lot of time to figure out and even longer time to tweak to get it just right. For now I am just admiring his work, and more can be found at his flickr account below for the full spectrum of his droplet art photography.

Mirage – The Full Experience...

30 Go Pro Cameras put this amazing video together of some extremely talented surfers. The waters just look amazing, and the videography itself is amazing, they really did a fantastic job of taking full advantage of all the cameras.

Rip Curl has again created a technological world-first by capturing full-tilt surfing action using a “30 camera Array” — a line of cameras firing consistently as surfers ride towards and past it. The results are unique “frozen moments of time” – that can be viewed in a combination of angles for a true in the round perspective.
