We will fly again to Beirut
that’s a promise!
Jazeera Airways would like to update you on the current situation in Lebanon and its impact on our flights to and from Beirut. Following the closure of Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport (BIA), we have re-routed our Beirut flights to Damascus and since then we have been engaged in a massive airlift of evacuees to Kuwait.
In the past five days we have flown 18 flights to Syria and airlifted over 2500 people to Kuwait. We welcomed every person and every family with a ticket to Kuwait, regardless of the issuing airline, and even accepted people with no tickets at all. And none of these efforts could have been done without the strong coordination with the Kuwait Embassies in Syria and Lebanon, Directorate General of Civil Aviation in Kuwait and the Syrian civil aviation authorities, and for that we thank them.
We will continue to fly to Damascus, operating as many flights as required until July 19, 2006, and that date may be extended if more people still need to be evacuated.
Affected Travelers
This only affects travelers to and from Beirut; Jazeera Airways operations into and out of Kuwait International Airport to other destinations continue to operate as normal. We are closely monitoring the situation in Lebanon and look forward to resuming our flights to Beirut as soon as possible. However, that will happen only after we are completely sure that our travelers and crew will be absolutely safe. In the meantime, we assure you that we are doing everything possible to ensure the least amount of inconvenience to travelers as a result of the turbulent situation in Lebanon, and the resulting closure of the airport.
Compensation
All travelers with bookings to Beirut will have the full amount credited with Jazeera Airways automatically. They can use this credit to fly to any Jazeera Airways destination anytime within one year, or until July 17, 2007, whichever comes earlier. As an additional measure of appreciation and care for our concerned customers, they will also enjoy a 10% discount on their next flight with Jazeera Airways.
Or they can choose a full refund with no deductions.
To claim their refund, they must send an email to <helpdesk@jazeeraairways.com> quoting traveler name/s, reservation no. and amount paid; or call 177 with the same details; or approach the Jazeera Airways Ticket Desk at the airport.
• If they paid by cash, they will receive a cheque after 7 days
• If they paid by Credit/K-Net Card, their account will be credited within 15 days
• If they used a travel agent, they must contact him/her directly
Jazeera Airways is an airline that understands, cares for, and protects its customers from the repercussions of unforeseen emergency situations. It is always our endeavor to help make things easier – even in difficult situations such as the present one – so that your experience with Jazeera Airways remains consistently empowering.
We will fly back to Beirut.
Now this is good service.Â
My father is now in Jordan he made it out ok. My grandmother came in last night from Syria after getting out with my father. My Uncle, his wife, daughter, daughters’ children, and 3 other families with them in a bus made it out across Syria just a little while ago. And my friend is asleep in Syria right now after the hectic day trying to get across. And Mark’s wife Nat has just crossed the border. I hope everyone’s family comes back to their homes safely. Thank you everyone for your kind words, and I hope everyone’s family is safe. I hope this war ends soon.
As you’ve heard by now of the attacks on Lebanon caused by Hezballah. Israel is attacking the south, and have attacked the airport. And as of right now, nobody knows what exactly is Israel going to do. This is because Hezballah has kidnapped and killed some Israeli soldiers, and the Lebanese government has not done anything about them.
I didnt find out about this until this morning at work, and I found out the airport was bombed early in the morning. I was calling left and right, because my father was on the last MEA flight to Lebanon which landed around 1am. So after about 30 times of calling different numbers I managed to get through and find him. Hamdilla he is ok, and the reason he didnt answer is because he was resting! I was going nuts, but now I was thinking of a way to get him out. He doesnt seem to concerned about whats going on. He is still going to go to his business meetings, and doing what he usually does. His sturbornness is driving me mad! And Im happy to know that I can depend on my friends, because they have called non-stop telling me to convince my father to get out, and they can help to get him out. But he doesnt seem to concerned, so I can only keep calling him and checking up on him. He told me he has things under control, but that doesnt mean I think everything is ok.
If anyone was curious as to what went on between them well you can just check the link, and see for youself. But this still doesnt justify the headbutt, and the French can complain all they want like usual.

For those who dont know I thought I would spread the word. British Airways is decreasing the maximum weight size of a per passenger. I know there are some specifics depending on each class, but Im not sure about it.
Right now you can check in a bag with a maximum of 32 Kgs, and if it goes over you have to take it out. They wont let you check it with more then 32Kgs. From October 2006 they want to set the maximum at 23Kgs. That is very light and I dont think it is very reasonable. They say its for health reasons, but before you could check bags in that were 40 or even 50 Kgs so I could understand lowering it 32Kgs, but 23Kgs is very light for a bag and that means you have to use more then one or two bags if your traveling for a while. What will honeymooners do!! The charges will be insane!
And they are also specifying the exact size of the hand bag you can take inside the plane with you. More details could be found at the link.

Its official! Ducati is going to put this bike into production. When I first saw pictures of this bike I thought that it looked fantastic, and I didnt even know who made it. When I realized it was a ducati I was stumped, the closest type of motorcycle they have to this is the Monster. But this bike looks amazing with the clean lines, and red design. I hope the price for this motorcycle will be reasonable, but if it rides just as good as it looks then I will be tempted to get my hands on one of these bikes! Its looks so freaking great, and its a Supermoto for the street!!!! I wish I was a test rider for any of the companies! Trying new bikes for work would be the best job period.
So Pirate Bay is back up and running! It was down because of the raid they had a few days ago, but now they are back in full gear ready for vengence! So those who use torrents enjoy the vast number of torrents availbale to you through Pirates Bay! And I love their main image!

This is an amazing toy a man can have! I have gone sky diving before and its fun as hell. But No way close to as much as jumping out of a plane at 30’000ft and flying over 120 miles at 220 mph! Your going faster then most cars can go! This is the carbon fiber mono wings! You have your own are tank, and navigational equipment. Also there are compartments on these wings for weapons and ammunition! I hope they make commericial version of it! I would love to fly like that! And they are also thinking about putting rockets on those wings to fly even farther! I would be doing loops and diving trying to see how fast I can go! And if I dressed up like that I would have be James Bond!
