Aaliyah – An Amazing Artist...

Aaliyah was one of those amazing artist who had so much ahead of her, and yet she had done so much at a young age. I remember listening to rap and a little old school rap, and throwing some RnB into the mix. It only feels like yesterday that I was listening to her songs nonstop, but now its been 8 years since Aaliyah’s life was cut short after her plane crashed shortly after take-off. Besides her talent it was her beauty, style and demeanor that had me hooked, she had this thing about her that made her different as an artist.

Aaliyah – Back and Forth (1994)

Her first single that she dropped with R Kelly and at age 15 she was already on the billboards.

Aaliyah – One in a Million (1996)

A song from her second Album which she collaborated with Missy Elliot and Timbaland in 1996 and that also was at the top of the billboards.

Jamie Foxx f/ Drake, Kanye West, & ...

Jamie Fox has been pumping out some pretty cool songs, and this one has tickled my fancy. I especially like the part when Kanye West comes into the song with his verse and changes up the beat of the song, turning it into something a little more up beat and funky.

Naked Girls Get Interrupted (NSFW)...

I wouldn’t play this at work, but this is hilarious, an American paradoy of the French version of naked women walking through their streets. Looks like Miami to me but I could be wrong, the best part is the confidence of the guy who just walked in and stripped off!

Kid Cudi – Make Her Say...

I really like Kid Cudi and the skills he brings to the table, this is one of those interesting artist combinations. I really like Kanye West and I’m a fan of Common, so this song just gets stuck in my head and I want to see what else he is going to come up with.

Funky Arabs...

I recently heard this song being played in Beirut for the few hours I was there and I was surprised to see the video. There is something really freaky about women doing Botox shots in a club bathroom, don’t they worry about the sanitary conditions. Well this video is trying to get the message that everyone in the Arab world is hot, but I think the message in this video is a bit off but still it was entertaining to watch.

New Link Park Song for Transformers Reve...

I’m a huge fan of Linkin Park, I don’t care if they are mainstream, they make amazing music and this song is a match for the new movie. The video shows a little too much of the movie but still a hell of a lot of fun, now I can’t wait to get the new CD and its been a long wait for this movie.

Dance Mix 05/09...

I enjoy listening to my music when I am sitting at the compute or driving, sometimes I want to drive just to enjoy the music. When I’m driving down the highway after visiting some family, I would have the windows down and music going with the cool wind blowing in my face. It’s a fun feeling with the decent weather the past couple of nights and window, I usually put the window up when I get to a stop light because it gets a bit warm stopped at a light. This is the dance list and one of those songs is the one I used for the GulfRun video.

  • David Tavare – Hot Summer Night (Extended Mix)
  • Michelle Williams – We Break The Dawn (Moto Blanco Club Mix)

Madcon – Beggin...

I have had a few requests a while back about the song from Desert Kings 2 Jokers Kuwait, this is the original music video. I honestly think that the DK2JK video is better then the original music video. The music video is cool but I still enjoy seeing the real off-road version.

Logic Valve 80 – UnBoxing...

After taking a look at my music selection and music options, I thought about changing my audio hardware setup. I usually have music playing in the background in my room. Thankfully you can listen to Satellite radio on the net for a small subscription but its really worth it. I haven’t really used by normal stereo for at least a year or so at this point, after thinking about I’m going to dismantle it and make use of that space. Now that I have the Logic Valve 80 I thought it would be the perfect setup, but there is a little hitch. Its a little bigger then I expected, turned up in a very big box. I thought it would be the size of the Bose Sound Dock, but turns out its much bigger and heavier, and I liked the quality of the build and the weight, I just have to figure out the placement. It is an iPod Dock with a built-in amplifier and hybrid vacuum valve which gives the music a richer sound based on all the reviews.

Now there are a few steps to be tackled before installing the item. I have to figure out a design for the dock, Sonos, and the speakers and get rid of the sound system or just the sound system speakers. Interestingly enough the Valve 80 has two Auxiliary inputs which I could use for the Sonos and the sound system, that would help get rid of the speakers which are taking up a large amount of space. At this point I will go into a complete reorganization of the equipment and items, to rewire everything as neatly as possible, and make more space for the new set of books that I have.

I kept the stock Logic Valve 80 speakers in the box because I’m planning on using the Sonos speakers. I place my Anime Mecha Models on top of the speakers, and the Valve 80 Speakers aren’t flat. I just need some banana plug to sort it out the wiring between the Speakers and the Valve 80. The best part is that all the RCA cables needed to connect to the Valve 80 Auxiliary inputs are included in the box which is a nice touch, also two different types of power cables (2 & 3 Pin Plugs), so they provided all the necessary and optional cables for you.

Then I have to get rid of a few unnecessary things on the shelf. I have about 10 PS3 games sitting on the shelf that I have played and enjoyed, maybe a few I didn’t even open yet. My PS2 burnt out over two and half years ago now, and it isn’t worth fixing, for some reason I still keep those games. As I need the space these days, I’m not sure what to do with the games, I don’t want to throw them away, and I’m not sure if its about the sentimental value but maybe it is. I remember the days when I used to play video games nonstop for hours on end but that isn’t the case anymore. I’m lucky if I get to even finish a game which is rare, or even get a few hours a week if thats even possible. So I need to take care of that to make full use of the shelves, and do a lot of network rewiring behind the shelves.
