Mariah Carey ft. Nicki Minaj – Up ...

There is no doubt that I’m a fan of Mariah Carey and her songs are fun and I enjoy. I also think she is pretty hot, she has had her phases but her voice is amazing especially when she has the hip hop thrown into the combination with her vocals. This isn’t one of her biggest songs but still fun. I still can’t believe that she is married to Nick Cannon, still doesn’t make sense.

Ke$ha – Tik Tok...

Some songs just click with me and this one just did, I didn’t even know that Ke$ha is a white girl let alone a pop singer but I do enjoy her song. It really gets you revved up and its a lot of fun, I feel like she just woke up and started singing it, the best part of the video is the Trans-Am scene.

Sonos – ZP90...

Having this music system integrated with my iTunes library and internet radio services has been great. I have had the Sonos system since 2005 and decided to expand it to another location which is the media room, and so I purchased the ZP90. A solid piece of audio hardware plugged right into my Onkyo A/V to route the sound through the Home Theater Speakers. Plugging it in and setting it up took less then 10 minutes and music was blasting through smoothly, I plugged it into the A/V using RCA cables but I’m planning on upgrading it to an optical connection when I get the cable. Overall an excellent piece of hardware for any music fan.

Playlist 12/09…...

retroheadphones

A odd combination of songs for the December playlist, with a few new releases to look forward to but these are the songs that I have finally put together. I will admit that iTunes makes sorting my music into playlists a lot easier then before, and just installing it int he next iPod is a lot faster then before. So I have music in the car that I jump in or when I got riding with my iPod mini. The playlists are the only way to make use of so much music that I have, some people even have more and I’m surprised when I do find a song I haven’t heard in a long time, if it wasn’t such a heavy piece of software it would be great.

December 2009 Playlist:

  • Iyaz – Replay
  • Priscilla Renea – Dollhouse (Mr. Mig Mainstream Radio Edit)
  • Timbaland – Carry Out (feat. Justin Timberlake)
  • Ke$ha – TiK ToK
  • Jay-Z – Empire State of Mind (feat. Alicia Keys)
  • Shakira – Give It Up to Me (feat. Lil’ Wayne)
  • Timbaland – Morning After Dark (feat. Nelly Furtado & SoShy)
  • Madonna – Celebration [Benny Benassi Remix Edit]
  • Dizzee Rascal – Holiday
  • Black Eyed Peas – Meet Me Halfway
  • Timbaland – Lose Control (feat. JoJo)
  • 3OH!3 – Starstrukk (feat. Katy Perry)
  • Tinchy Stryder – Never Leave You (Radio Edit)
  • Livvi Franc – Now I’m That Bitch (feat. Pitbull)

Review: Timbaland – ShockValue II...

shock-value-II

The musical genius has returned to us with his new album shock value 2. I expect a lot from Timbaland he has set the bar so high, and he keeps making amazing songs with so many artists so I have been looking forward to this CD. I have listened to it a lot with some good tracks and some odd tracks, I had a certain expectation for this CD but this wasn’t it, it was too much pop this time around. Timbaland worked with a lot of artists and came out with some unique and fun songs, but not what I was expecting. The beats are good, some songs get you going with it, song after song they are all different and nothing is the same, just what you expect from Timbaland’s talent. Most of the songs are amazing and I do recommend the CD but in my opinion the first Shock Value was a notch better then this one, still its an album that you should own.

Favorite Songs:

  • Carry Out – ft. Justin Timberlake
  • Say Something – ft. Drake
  • Morning After Dark – SoShy & Nelly Furtado
  • Long Way Down – Daughtry
  • If We Ever Meet Again – Katy Perry

Review: Sirius Satellite Radio Online...

SiriusSatRadio

Out of the Satellite Radio companies I used to prefer XM but now I’m a huge fan of Sirius but the best part is they merged and a large selection of channels is available to Sirius Satellite Radio Online Users. It’s great how they made the service modular, if you have a Sirius subscription then you get the online service for free, but if you don’t then you can receive it for about $2.99 per month which is very low for the amount of channels and quality.

What I Listen To:

  • Sirius XM Hits 1
  • 20 on 20
  • Sirius XM Chill
  • BPM (Dance)
  • Hip Hop Nation (Rap/HipHop)
  • The Heat (RnB/HipHop)
  • Sirius NFL
  • Howard Stern
  • Blue Collar Comedy

Real Usage:

  • You can listen to it through your iPod Touch/iPhone, there is a laptop application or launch from a browser for it, you can listen through music systems or table top systems such as Sonos or Grace Radio.
  • The quality is fantastic, and integartes with lots of systems, I listen to NFL channel during the games and mos to of the time BPM Dance channel in the back ground. Over the years it has only gotten better with more quality and more channels.

Playlist 10/09...

retroheadphones

This is my latest playlist that I have been hearing nonstop in my car, and a few other iPods while I’m riding or driving very fast. Each song gets you worked up in a different way, they did a scientific study about the effects of music on people’s driving, with me I’m the live specimen, my driving style varies widely with the type of song playing and I have to have to music playing. There is the occasional head nod to the music or some movement if I’m in a good mood, but its funny seeing people’s reaction while in a dishdasha with Hip Hop & RnB blasting. The more the stars the more I enjoy the song.

Dizzee Rascal – Holiday...

Dizzee Rascal is one of those interesting artists out of the UK Hip Hop scene, and this is one of his more recent songs. I’m really hooked on it, I didn’t even see the video until the other day and I heard the song on the radio in the UK. The beat feels fun, and the lyrics are pretty funny if you listen to them.

Kid Cudi vs. Crookers – Day ‘...

This is probably one of my all time favorite songs, I haven’t heard a song which really caught me like this one did. I know its mainstream now but my hat goes off to Kid Cudi as artist, he mixed rap with dance in a very unique way and you can really listen to the lyrics. The song just get stuck in my head, I can’t help tapping my foot or doing something to the beat, the original and this remix. The video below is NSFW but the one above is fine.

Madonna – Celebration...

This is a new song from Madonna, and it has grown on me for the past couple of days. She does have some people who adore her, I tend to like her music, she is really an amazing artist to keep coming up with amazing music. I don’t think she looks good but when you see her move like this you don’t think she is a day over thirty let alone being over forty and doing all this.
