JT Concert...

jt.jpg

We went to Las Vegas for Labor Day weekend, and we were 11 guys and one of my friends organized the whole trip from A to Z. He wanted to surprise me and one of my friends who is getting married at the end of the year. One of the things that he organized was the JT Concert and even though we were all a bunch of guys we were looking forward to it since we knew he was going to be damn good.

First off there are two things you hear in that concert, one is the music and second is the high pitch scream of every women in the vicinity of that hall! I think I lost some of my hearing from the screams coming from behind me. My friend did a great job with the tickets we were about 25 meters from the stage on an elevated area so it was pretty good and we got a good view.

My hat goes off to the guy, he is even better live then when you hear his music on the CD. You can’t help but get up and dance with the beats vibrating through the whole Mandalay Concert Hall. We were lucky we were staying at the hotel, the whole thing was packed. If you ever get a chance to see this guy live then go for it, I know I would go see him again thats for sure.

Check out this youtube link of the Manadalay Show but the audio quality isn’t the greatest but it gives you an idea.

Music Compilation Begins!...

Thanks to everyone for pointing in me in the right direction from my previous post for the right software to Rip CDs and tag them ID3s from a Database. I installed ExactAudioCopy since it had the right features I was looking for and I was mostly looking at the two items I mentioned previously, I don’t need it to do everything, I just need it to the things I want really well. From 10 CD it couldn’t identify only 2 CDs, it was surprising there were a few I wasn’t expecting but it got most of them and the ones it didn’t I updated the freedb with information from the disk cover which I inputed. I’m going to see if there is way to add to the Database or get information from another DB, if anyone has any ideas drop me a line.

In regards to the process you have to get EAC and LAME MP3 encoder and you unzip that LAME folder into the same fold you install EAC and then you configure EAC to use the LAME externel compress to produce the MP3s. With EAC you can configure it to have high quality or a mix of speed and quality, I opted for quality so it has slowed down the ripping process and a CD can take from 20 to 30 minutes. I don’t mind since I’m going to be able to archive the disk now once I’m done ripping all that I want.

Music CDs!...

hotdiscjockey.jpg

I do buy CDs every once in a while, and some of these CDs have some very good songs that don’t go mainstream so I’m very happy to get my hands on them. But I have become lazy over the past few months. I have a lot of CDs, about 60 – 70 CDs that I want to rip to my PC but I don’t want to go through a tedious process. I already have Slysoft which is a program to remove all DRM properties of CD so that I can easily access the audio but I don’t have a program that can just rip the songs and add the correct ID3 tags. This is something that will help my digitizing process of my audio, those 60 – 70 CDs are only the new ones. I might easily have over 400 – 500 CDs in the storage that I will want to completely digitize but I haven’t gotten around to it. Any help with the software that can automate this process in a very simple, quick, and customizable manner?

These are just some of the songs that I have been listening too recently!

50 Cent ft. JT & Timbaland – Ayo

I have always been a fan of 50 Cent and Timbaland, and I have a lot of respect to JT for doing what he does and the amount of talent he has. Its hit after hit for these guys and combination of the three couldn’t be any better. Also it helps to have a good music video.

WILL.I.AM- I Got It From My Mamma

I have always like WILL.I.AM from the early days of the Black Eye Peas, but I really really envy the man in this video, just in this video. I should plan my next vacation to go to Brazil this is just too much. Every man should go to Brazil once in this life, and I really like this video!

Sean Kingston – Beautiful Girl

This song from Sean Kingston is something which I find to be original and different. The song has a very old school beat but he has a unique style and I really like the way they made this music video. Its enjoyable, and they did a really good job with it.

Rihanna @ Live Earth Tokyo...

The Live Earth Concerts were held in multiple countries, and I happened to come across the one for Rihanna, and I think she did a good job. She was on stage for 28 minutes straight, her act was good but there is room for improvement, but her music was great and I enjoyed it. Its a 349 MB file which can be found on TorrentSpy, especially worth watching if you like Rihanna.

Nicole Scherzinger...

She “was” the lead singer to the Pussy Cat Dolls and now she is off making her own carear in the music industry. I really like her voice, great package looks and talent, and she can really move.

I didn’t even know it was her singing with P Diddy in Come to me, check out the YouTube video, I especially like the last 40 seconds of the music video they sure can dance!

Review: Rihanna – Good Girl Gone B...

rihannagoodgirlgonebad.jpg

This is Rihanna’s 3rd Album and I have been looking forward to it for a while now since she did well with her 2nd album. Well I have to say that it was a wait well worth it. She did really well with this album and the type of music she has incorporated into it. There is a mix of dance and hip hop in her style, and she mixes it up with a few other songs which I like. There are a few songs which I’m not much of a fan of, but overall her album is great and I enjoy just popping it in for a long drive and listening to the whole drive. Its the type of music that when you listen to it makes you want to move, you tap your feet, you nod your head, that sort of thing, and if her music can make you do that and enjoy the whole CD then I think its one hell of album.

The New CDs...

cds1.jpg

When I was in London I spent a good amount of time in Virgin listening to a lot of CDs and I picked up the ones I wanted in the end. Now I just have to sit down and listen to them. What I usually like doing is listening to a whole CD on a long drive that way I know which songs I really like without any interupption and nothing else to distract me.

CDs:

  • Mark Ronson Version
  • Beyonce & Shakira Beautiful Liar (Single)
  • Mark Ronson Stop Me (Single)
  • Disco Kandi: The Mix
  • Ne-yo because of you
  • Joe Aint Nothin Like Me
  • Natasha Bedingfield NB
  • The Best of Bond – James Bond

Virgin Piccadilly...

DSC02922.jpg

This is one of the places I always stop by to check out whats on the charts for music and DVDs, also what DVDs they are offering deals on. At Virgin they had 3 for 20 and 5 for 30 on a lot of good movies, so I picked up a lot of good movies that I wanted to have. The great part about the place is that you can listen to any CD they have before buying it by scanning the bar code and listening to the music, and they usually update the database quickly so you can hear 13 to 20 seconds of the songs which is good.
