Review: Punisher War Zone...

Its rare that I don’t write a review about a movie, but this movie I just had to. I’m a huge fan of all movies made from comic stories, and I loved the original Punisher with the original Frank Castle. If your a fan then this movie is going to hurt, I don’t even know what Marvel were thinking when they were making this movie. It was just ridiculous from the beginning of the movie, if you haven’t seen it then don’t watch it and if you want to laugh for 10 minutes then just watch the first 10 minutes and stop!

Review: Role Model...

The movie starts with Danny (Paul Rudd) and Wheeler (Sean William Scott) going to various high schools and colleges. Wheeler is dressed up in a minotaur suit and Danny tells all of the students to skip drugs, and instead have some of the energy drink Minotaur. Danny actually thinks Minotaur is made of acid, because it is the most disgusting thing he has ever tasted.

I honestly think Sean William Scott is one of the funniest actors around, he brings the characters and story to life and in this movie he is the perfect fit. Somehow they get into a lot of trouble and the only way to stay out of jail is to get good word in to the judge from the head of a Sturdy Wings, a kids big brother group. They are probably the worst big brothers a kid can have and the little kid is funny as hell. This comedy keeps getting better and better as time went by. If you haven’t seen then you are missing out, the laughs won’t stop.

Public Enemies Trailer...

The incredible and true story of legendary Depression-era bank robber John Dillinger (Depp)the charismatic bank robber whose lightning raids made him the number one target of J. Edgar Hoovers fledgling FBI and its top agent, Melvin Purvis (Bale), and a folk hero to much of the downtrodden public. No one could stop Dillinger. No jail could hold him. His charm and audacious jailbreaks endeared him to almost everyonefrom his girlfriend Billie Frechette (Cotillard) to an American public who had no sympathy for the banks that had plunged the country into the Depression.

Depp and Bale make for an amazing duo in this movie, even looking at the trailer I know its going to be good. An action pack adventure based in the early 20th century in mid US Depression. Just check out the trailer.

Catching Up On Downloads...

Nobody realizes how old Sylvester Stalone is, but knowing when these movies were realesed the guy was pretty good. Who doesn’t enjoy watching Rambo or Rocky every once in a while, and if you don’t get pumped up after watching the movie then there is something wrong with you!

  • Rocky 1976 720p
  • Rocky 2 1979 720p
  • Rocky 3 1982 720p
  • Rocky 4 1985 720p
  • Rocky 5 1990 720p
  • Rocky Baboa 2006 720p

I had a few shows to catch up with since I didn’t download them consistently. And I have been looking for Fresh Prince of Bel Air for a while now, and now that I have it I know I’m going to watch it all over again, and Carlton was the best dancer in the show.

  • Family Guy Seasons 1 – 6
  • American Dad Season 1 – 3
  • Transformers Animated Seasons 1 – 2
  • Fresh Prince of Bel Air Seasons 1 – 4
  • South Park Seasons 1 – 11
Blood The Last Vampire...

On the surface, Saya is a stunning 16-year-old, but that youthful exterior hides the tormented soul of a 400-year-old “halfling.” Born to a human father and a vampire mother, she has for centuries been a loner obsessed with using her samurai skills to rid the world of vampires, all the while knowing that she herself can survive only on blood like those she hunts.

The original Anime of this show was fantastic, and now they have made a movie out of it. I usually I’m skeptical of movies such as this, thinking they usually mess it up but after watching the trailer I think I’m going to watch it. Check out trailer at link.

Best Movies in 2008...

There were a lot of memorable movies in 2008, but here is the list of my favorites. Some are intricate intense movies, and a few were just pure unadulterated action. I think I watched Tropic Thunder about 15 to 20 times, I don’t care what anyone thinks, that is probably the funniest movie I have seen in a long time, Robert Downey Jr and Tom Cruise were great in it.

Intense:

  • The Dark Knight
  • Iron Man
  • Eagle Eye
  • Traitor
  • Death Race

Comedy:

  • Tropic Thunder
  • Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay
  • Kung Fu Panda
  • Forgetting Sarah Marshall
  • You Don’t Mess With Zohan

Asian Movies:

  • Red Cliff
  • Ip Man
Slumdog Millionare Kids back in the Slum...

There was a lot of Oscar buzz from the beginning about this movie and a lot of people loved this movie. I haven’t seen it yet, but it won almost every award. The sad thing is the kids have gone back home after all the glitz and glamour, and the only thing waiting for them there is the slums.

The money they made from this movie is a trust fund for the boy and girl, and will be available once they are of legal age but right now they can’t access that money and their parents can’t either. It is fact that the kids will not benefit from the money in the long run if they have it now since their families will take advantage, it is a complex situation. Its heart breaking to see how these kids are living after the Oscars, check out the link below.

Monsters Vs. Aliens Trailer...

This is one of the coolest animations I have seen yet, monsters on earth have to save the humans from the aliens. Very simple yet very entertaining, its from the makers of Shrek and Kung Fu Panda, just check out the trailer. My favorite character just from the trailer is the blob (BOB), you can tell who he is from his voice.

Terminator Salvation Full Length Trailer...

Now you have to check this out, I don’t think there are many actors out there who can come close to Christian Bale. John Conner is played perfectly by Christian Bale, knowing he is in this movie I have to see it right away. Watch the full length trailer on Trailer Addict and tell me it doesn’t get your blood pumping!

Review: What Just Happened?...

DeNiro plays the Hollywood producer at the end of his line and he has to get this right or his career is done. In Hollywood those who reach the top can fall so quick, and DeNiro is trying to get back on the saddle in this movie. DeNiro plays a very calm character who handles his problems but luck doesn’t seem to be on his side, with so many wives I don’t know how he isn’t insane. It is an interesting movie with an outlook to the other side of the Glamorous life in Hollywood, but the movie is just a little too slow and disconnected for my tastes. It could have been a little better with a little more emotion and less number of characters in the movie.
