Inglourious Basterds...

In German-occupied France, Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa. Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema. Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution. Known to their enemy as “The Basterds,” Raine’s squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reic

This is the new movie from Quentin Tarantino and I really can’t wait to see it. Looks like this movie is going to be funny and bloody, just the usually you expect from Tarantino. A bunch of Jewish soldiers going on a rampage in Germany and scaring the hell out of the German military.

Review: The Taking of Pelham 123...

A New York city subway system is run by a control office with people making the routes. One day a man holds one train cart hostage with the people in it, asking for $10’000’000 from the city of New York. The unlucky man who gets the call at the station control is Walter Garber (Denzel Washington), this falls in his lap and the guy pulling this off likes him so sticks to him. This is one interesting movie, it isn’t all that it seems to be when you go through the movie. A smart movie about a desperate man who is willing to die, and one man who is desperate to save everybody. Ryder is played by John Travolta, and he plays the perfect villain, smart, dangerous, and a little bit of crazy, just the prefect combination to pull this off. A great movie and you will enjoy some of the supporting actors in it, action packed until the end, there was one scene with a motorcycle that even hurt me, you will know when you see it.

This is a heart wrenching story of a little girl who had her last wish granted by Pixar. Cancer has spread exponentially over the globe, there are some cases that can be solved and some cases that can’t. With Colby Curtin, a 10-year-old girl suffering from terminal vascular cancer, told her mom that she wanted to live to see Pixar’s Up, and her case worsened so she wasn’t able to see the movie ‘Up’ during the opening weekend. After frantic calls from friends and family to Pixar and Disney, Pixar answered the call and granted the little girl’s wish. Several hours after watching the movie Colby Curtin passed away. Pixar did an amazing thing to grant her this wish on the last day and fly somebody out to her home with a DVD of the movie to watch. Please read the whole story in the OC Register link.

Review: Land Of The Lost...

Land of the Lost is one of those wacky movies you go to enjoy, and the writers and other actors complement Will Ferrel perfectly. Its a remake of an old show that they brought into a modern day movie, you don’t have to know anything about the old show but those who know can relate to a few things. Will Ferrel plays Dr. Rick Marshall and he is a joke of modern science stating that he can travel through time, and one hot lady believes in him so he builds his machine or modulator that causes an opening in dimensions. This movie from beginning to end is hilarious, I was laughing my head off in the theater for most of the time. I’m assuming their are a few times they would censor a few scenes but overall this movie was great and Will played his role perfectly without getting to annoyed with his antics, this time around it was the perfect blend of funny and stupid without being ridiculous.

Review: Street Fighter The Legeng of Chu...

I kept hearing about this movie being a disaster but the rumors were just an understatement. There wasn’t enough build up of character relationships, meaning you really don’t get to know any character because they are trying to introduce so many, and instead of trying to give them a story they should have just let them fight, and the fights weren’t too impressive. Its sad that they did this to a game with such history, the game turned out a whole lot better then the movie. On another note Chris Klien was a disaster, a complete disaster in this movie, I think he should just quit acting.

Review: The International...

There is a lot more going on with this IBBC then you can see on the surface, the IBBC is a major International Bank providing financial services and brokering deals for countries and organizations. Clive Owen is Louis Salinger and he has been after the IBBC for years but he has faced obstacle after obstacle with witnesses being killed and the case being stonewalled. It’s an action passed movie with so many conspiracies tied together, a great movie with Clive Owen doing a superb job.

The Hangover – Trailer...

Now this is a movie I have been waiting to see and the trailer is fantastic, I know its going to be even funnier. Its the Old School director with an interesting cast, they look like a bunch of rag tag guys who can’t remember ending up with a baby in a closet and a tiger in the bathroom. Its going to be hilarious, just check out the trailer.

Review: Terminator Salvation...

I have been waiting months to see this movie and it turned out a little different then I expected. Christian Bale played the role of the tormented fighter who is at the edge of humanity, and he has hope that humanity will prevail against the machines, he was perfect for John Connor. This movies’ action scenes were pretty cool, even though it felt like they were trying to tell more of story then the whole action packed theme of the Terminator franchise. Terminator 2 was the most memorable for me, Terminator 3 was a major disappointment but Terminator Salvation did an excellent job with a combination of the story and action.

So many robots, and ties back to the past with a few tapes of Sarah Connor telling John all that she knows so he may make his way. The ending though still leaves it open for another sequel, this isn’t a blockbuster like Batman Begins and Iron Man but a movie really worth watching.

Review: Fired Up...

Two guys who only became athletes so they can meet girls, this time around they found the perfect formula. Fired Up University with 300 girls to try their luck with, so they joined the cheer leading squad. One guy is more your typical hunter who looks for every girl and the other is the thinker of the team. They end up with so many girls, trying to so many tricks and lines to get the girls and most of it works. These guys are just hilarious trying to be cheerleaders while trying to get these girls. If your looking for a movie with lots of laughs then this is it, its a typical movie but these guys make for some pretty funny characters.

Asian Movies Coming Up...

I know that this is a specific genre that not everyone watches but I tend to enjoy Asian movies. They are always a bit exaggerated especially the action movies, so here are a few that I am looking forward to. I have posted a few of the Youtube trailers but some of the other ones I couldn’t find.

Crows Zero 2 – Full on school brawling in Japan, the fight scenes are just like battle scenes.

Blood: The Last Vampire

Oppai: A teacher who just joined a school and she is in charge of the volleyball club who are just a bunch of losers. To motivate them she promised to show them her breasts if they win, and oppai is Japanese for breasts. You have to love the Japanese

Legendary Assasin – A Man looking for revenge! This movie is just filled with nonstop martial arts and fight scenes, the whole trailer is filled with fight scenes
