A reporter, trying to lose himself in the romance of war after his marriage fails, gets more than he bargains for when he meets a special forces agent who reveals the existence of a secret, psychic military unit whose goal is to end war as we know it. The founder of the unit has gone missing and the trail leads to another psychic soldier who has distorted the mission to serve his own ends.
Now this is a movie I have to see, George Clooney thinking he has psychic powers in the military and Ewan McGregor as a report believes him completely. Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey play the perfect roles in this movie as well, I love a good movie with this type of ridiculousness, sarcacism, and humor put together by these class of actors. Can’t wait to see it when it comes out in November 6th, I’m surprised I didn’t hear about it before now.

Its been a little while since I have seen an animated movie at this level, I’m a huge fan of the Green Lantern but the producers and directors of this movie have done an excellent job with this piece of art. The storyline was well planed out, it is the story of the Green Lanter, Hal Jordan becoming the first Green Lantern of Earth and the short story of the Lantern Core and the Guardians. You get most of it from the start with lots of entertainment as it develops, and you are pulled into the story but the animation is something else. They really put their time in to make sure they had quality animation and this was in fact amazing quality, and for any fan of comics or who relatively likes this, this is a top rate animated movie which shouldn’t be missed.

It was one of those movies I wasn’t expecting to be this good. Russel Crowe plays the role of a reporter working for the Washington Globe and Ben Afleck is a big shot politician who just lost his aide who is also his mistress. Things go from there, and as he is working on one story it connects to another also pointing to Ben, who is also Crowe’s friend and he is trying to unravel this whole conspiracy. Its a fast paced movie, and I do like how Crowe plays his role in this movie, and you are always trying to guess whats next and never left without something happening and connecting the dots.

Its just one of those very nice things when you click buy and you have a bunch of items in your Amazon cart. Then suddenly you come home to a bunch of boxes with that Amazon smile, that has become like a Christmas gift to myself but it happens once every three months. I decided to buy a majority of the items since I had been keeping them aside for over 6 months now, and I’m not even close to finishing the stack of books that I have. Mostly sci-fi and odd books that I have wanted such as the Starcraft series since I’m getting too worked up about playing the new Startcraft 2 that keeps getting delayed, the Art of Up, Arcade Mania and an Anime book.
Then there is the Asian movie theater that is all piled up and ready to go. I want to have an Asian movie night, all fighting and martial arts ready to go.
Movies such as these always tickle my interest, I always like watching these types of action flicks and I’m a fan of Channing Tatum. After watching the movie I was a bit disappointed, I was expecting some sort of Karate Kid/Mr.Miyagi type situation where he has to improve his skills one way or another but it wasn’t like that and the story just didn’t have the build up or the action that I expected. I liked the fight scenes but I something a little more, something with a different flavor that gets people worked up in the action.

I have been waiting months to see this movie but I was disappointed because of all the bad reviews that came out months before the movie even came out, so my expectations were lowered. Turns out they were completely wrong and I had a blast watching this action packed G.I.Joe movie. My hat goes off to the director and producer from turning a childhood cheesy cartoon from the 80s into modern day action packed film. I loved how you were introduced to the characters one after the other, and as the movie progressed you got to understand the story behind the relationship of some of these characters to help lead up to the story, it was building up an interesting climax, I wasn’t even sure how it was going to work out but the equipment and modern weaponry was really cool. The kid in me was more then satisfied, I was excited at so many different points and it didn’t disappoint at all. I was very very happy about the justice they did to Snake Eyes, they portrayed him perfectly and gave him the background story he deserved. I wasn’t sure though how the Cobra Commander comes into it, and how Cobra develops but towards the end of the movie it becomes extremely clear. I was more then happy to see the movie, I was satisfied, and the best part is that I know there is a sequel coming out for sure which got me excited, they laid the plans out for the sequel which leaves them open to do what they want. I know there are a few parts which crosses the line of reality and the rules of gravity, but its something I could accept and go with it.

I have been waiting months for this movie, I didn’t want to see that version that was leaked or a censored version so I waited and it was worth the wait. Seeing the adamantium fused into the bones of Wolverine and taking the new life of an X-Men got me worked up. Overall this movie was worth the wait, and I think Gambit was depicted perfectly as the character in the comic books. The storyline develops perfectly and the battle between Wolverine and Striker unravels towards the end in a perfect way, I really liked how the story was developed and we got to see the other characters who will later turn into the X-Men.

I remembered watching this movie when I was kid and I didn’t understand it at all, I had to watch it again when I in the late 80s to understand how great a movie it was. At the time those computer graphics were insane but this time around I’m not sure what they have planned, I’m just looking forward to watching the sequel of this movie and I’m wondering whats the story line going to be like since it has to take a different angle, now we just have to wait to 2010 to watch it.
R rated comedy at its best, very few can match up to this movie in the comedy line up. A bunch of friends going for a bachelor party end up losing their friend, almost getting shot, mauled to death, and overdose on rufis. The movie goes backwards as they try to figure out what exactly happened to them and what happened to their friend, they woke up with a lion in the bathroom, a baby in the closet, and a police car in valet. I don’t think I have laughed so hard before, it hurt and I couldn’t stop laughing throughout. Its not a typical story line but the surprises were priceless and Alan, the dysfunctional brother-in-law, made the whole movie, he was hilarious with everything he did or said. Every person should watch this movie its so damn funny, but make sure that it isn’t censored or about 80% of wouldn’t be seen.

Marvel and DC Movies have been great over the past couple of years, and I can’t wait for the next one to come out. This time around they have come with the Planet Hulk which revolves around the Hulk being talken off the earth because he is a danger to people, so he manages to get out of his restraints and crash land on a planet that turns him into a gladiator of sorts. With an incredible battle in front of him, the Hulk fights the meanest and toughest monsters, lets see what he does to get out of this. The other part of this comic story is the return of the Hulk to Earth but hopefully that will be released after the success of this animated movie.
