Now this movie was unexpected, its been a while since we had a good Sci-Fi thriller. The last Sci-Fi thriller that I remember freaking me out was Event Horizon and that movie left an impression. From the trailer of this movie it seemed that there was something going on, but a bit on the freakier side. Ben Foster comes out of his hyper sleep, but a few years over due and so does Dennis Quaid. One of the main problems faced in deep space is pandorum which is paranioa and pyschosis faced from prolonged deep space exposure, people with pandorum can react violently or think that everyone is against them and end up killing the whole crew on the ship. As all of this is happening they discover creatures which are killing off people and eating them, they are suffering memory loss from the prolonged hyper sleep, and the ship is falling apart. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat until the end, and there were some very interesting twists towards the end which turned this from a good to great movie.

Dorian Gray is a gentlemen who inherited his uncles fortune and moved back into London after finishing his schooling and living outside of London for a bit. The beautiful specimen of a man in English times and the woman did love him, but he had an interesting twist to him, he never grew old and the secret was still ambiguous as to how it happened. I thought this movie would have a lot of action, mystery, as well as drama but it was a little too dramatic for my taste and not enough mystery and action. I remembered the name because he is the same character from The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and so I had very high expectations but that wasn’t the case. It was a very good story but the two weren’t related as in the later he lived for hundreds of years and had a vampire for a lover but in this case the ending was slightly pathetic. I was hoping for more.

2012 the end of the world is at hand and I for one want a Lincoln Town Car to save me from being killed. That is a hell of a preview, and some excellent driving to get them through the worst of the catastrophe. I don’t know how this story is going to play out but I am going to watch this for sure.
In the sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft, and in both wizard and muggle worlds Lord Volemort and his henchmen are increasingly active. With vacancies to fill at Hogwarts, Professor Dumbledor persuades Horace Slughorn, back from retirement to become the potions teacher, while Professor Snape receives long awaited news. Harry Potter, together with Dumbledore, must face treacherous tasks to defeat his evil nemesis.
At last I managed to watch this movie after such a long time, and it was worth the wait but I expected a little more. Harry has developed and grown, Ron and Hormaine are still his friends but they have also come along. The story revolves around Dumbledore trying to discover how Voldemort became how he is from the young student, and he would need Harry’s help. The story keeps getting more and more interesting, I like how Hormaine and Ron have developed in this story. The action is kept at a good pace and so is the story, and at its peek I was a bit shocked but the ending didn’t have the satisfaction I was looking for. A movie has to satisfy you and leave you wanting more, this movie was very good but the ending didn’t satisfy me, now I need to see the upcoming movie right away, it feels that I didn’t get a juicy ending.
Now this is something to look forward to, Michael Bay has just announced that he is currently getting on board for Transformers 3, even though he previously mentioned that he wanted some time off to work on other projects but I’m assuming the money was too much to resist. Now I have something to look forward to from this amazing story line, and I am one who does enjoy his dose of Transformers, I’m really hoping for a damn good movie with a really good story line. Now for the funny part is what was happening off set, it seems that Michael Bay and Megan Fox hate each other more then the Autobots hate the Decepticons, they have been taking blows at each other all year long since the launch of Transformer 2 Revenge of the Fallen, so I’m not sure how she got on board for this movie but it seems she is, and the best part is seeing what Michael said on his blog.
P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you.
Pain and Gain is right after shooting of Trans 3.

In Nazi-occupied France during World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as “The Basterds” are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Bastards soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers.
I think Tarantino outdid himself this time around, this was a movie that I wasn’t expecting to be as good as it was. It was a simple yet deep movie, that was very entertaining with very colorful characters, a bunch of jews who went to France to terrorize the Germans and treat them with as little human compassion as possible, such as using their heads for batting practice. Brad Pitt pulled off Lt. Aldo Raine perfectly, the Mid Western American soldier who is there to kick as much ass as possible, and how simple stories intertwined to work for the Americans and how you can interpret the story of Hitler at the time. Lets just say that not everything was historically correct but it was extremely entertaining, Tarantino picked the right actors to match the characters and the best part is that you really don’t know what to expect, and your expectations are usually thrown out the window. A movie really worth watching and Tarantino did the original justice.

Pandorum is an interesting sci-fi thriller, the concept can be seen from this trailer and I do like these types of movies. There hasn’t been a lot of sci-fi thriller/horror in a while now so I’m looking forward to this movie. Getting the right combination for a good story line is tough these days with sci-fi movies, and I’m crossing my fingers for Pandorum and based on the trailer its off to a good start.
Now this I wasn’t expecting, a lot of movies have been remade over the past 10 years and have been done mostly successfuly. But now a new remake is on the horizon, this many can relate to, the reason why Karate rose to such a high level during the 1980s and everyone started taking those Karate classes, everyone wanted to have a Mr.Miyagi as their teacher but now its taking a slightly different twist.
Jaden Smith (Will Smith’s son) is now the new Karate Kid, and the master is none other then Jackie Chan. I’m not sure what to expect from this combination of actors and Will Smith is producing the movie. It does a slightly different feel but with the same idea as single mom moving from the US to China, but I wonder how this is going to turn out, but I’m looking forward to it.

An extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth suddenly finds a kindred spirit in a government agent that is exposed to their biotechnology.
There has been a lot of talk about this movie, and it is well deserved, my hat goes off to the director Neill Blomkamp for making this movie. There is a cliche part to it in the science fiction genre, but they manage to humanize the experience of these aliens and you can relate to them. I won’t ruin the movie with any spoilers, except that it turned out to be even better then I expected and it left me thinking of certain possibilities. There were a lot of humorous parts and some well done action packed scenes, I wouldn’t mind trying out some alien weaponery but I think that everyone should go see this movie.

I can’t wait until November to see this movie, the trailer looks fantastic and the storyline is somewhat refreshing. All I remember is watching and loving this anime from back in the 80s, its even before I knew I was watching anime. They have done an excellent job in preserving the feel of Astro Boy since they put it in this retro looking future, and this trailer is a little longer so now I’m even more excited to see it.
