Review: 2012...

The world is about to come to an end, the Mayans predicted it and now science is proving it. The movie was entertaining, the action was good, there funny moments and sometimes the graphics were a little over the top but a very enjoyable movie. John Cusak played his role perfectly, and Amanda Peet pulled it off perfectly but the surprise for me was the funny role the Woody Harrelson played. Then the best part for me was that Danny Glover was President of the United States, I have been saying he should have been President since Predator 2. So many other characters in the movie that it’s surprising, but I really did enjoy how they tied the story together, how everyone comes together. A movie worth watching at least once.

The Stepfather – Trailer...

Now I do enjoy these types of thrillers, men turning out to be insane killers when you don’t even know. Now to see what will happen with the family and how they will get out of it, if the movie is half as good as the trailer then I know I am going to enjoy it.

Review: The Proposal...

I’m a fan of Ryan Reynolds, he makes funny look easy and with Sandra Bullock they make a very entertaining romantic comedy. Bullock is a top of the line editor for a huge publishing company who might lose her visa to stay in the US since she is Canadian, and Reynolds is her top assistant that she says she will marry and goes along with it to guarantee her green card. What a fiasco they go through as Bullock has to take down her tough woman look but she has to act all nice with her fiance in front of his family and that turns into the funniest moments, and Bullock is pretty funny herself. A fun romantic comedy really worth watching and there are some intensely funny moments.

Prince of Persia – Trailer HD...

Now this is a movie I have been waiting to see for some time now, ever since they announced it would be done last year. The trailer is looking good and they are really trying to keep it true to the game, and if the trailer is anything to go by then its going to be good.

Review: Gamer...

In the near future inmates play to live and people who don’t want to live, live to be played in the ultimate social networking game. Inmates are given the chance to get out of jail by participating in “Slayers” being controlled by other humans through brain implants, the same technology used and tried in the ultimate social networking game. Gerard Butler aka “Kable” is the ultimate soldier, a killing machine with a damn good controller working with him, many die but its only a game that they signed up for and more inmates sign up. There is more to this then just what you see, Kable wants to get out and he will be the first to complete Ken Castle’s game aka Dexter aka Michael C Hall. Michael C Hall plays the ultimate villain and he plays him so well, like a bit of psycho with a lot of power, very entertaining and as usual Gerard Butler kicks major ass. A fun filled movie that anyone can enjoy, action packed and Gerard Butler proves himself to be a badass just as in 300.

Review: Michael Jackson – Thats It...

Now this was a little different that what you usually expect to see in the movie theaters, and I’m surprised they even brought it to Kuwait. There are a lot of people who grew up listening to Michael Jackson over the years, and I consider myself to be a fan so when I heard about this movie I had to see it. My friend calls me up to see the movie in the new IMAX theater in 360 which was pretty impressive, comfortable seating, huge screen and excellent sound. This movie isn’t a normal movie, it’s a sort of behind the scenes to how Michael Jackson is during his performances, I always beleived he was an artist, but after this movie he is a true artist. They went through the whole process of making this tour, from the musical numbers, practice, to picking the singers and dancers, the wardrobe, how MJ is throughout the whole process. You know its good when half the people in the audience are either singing or dancing in their seats, I couldn’t help it, he is seriously amazing and you feel like the crowd at certain moments. They went through all his amazing songs over the years, great music, choreography, and everything put together. It just gets a little boring towards the end, you feel like it was just chopped up and put together but overall I really enjoyed it, and if you are MJ fan then you should see it.

Review: Infestation...

A slacker awakes to find himself weak and wrapped in a webbing; after realizing that the world has been taken over by giant alien insects, he wakes a ragtag group of strangers and together they fight for survival.

This is the exactly the type of movie that you have to watch just to laugh and enjoy, a decent story line, some bugs, the wimpy hero and the hot girl. What more can you ask for in simple entertainment, maybe if Bruce Campbell was in it would have been much greater but not this time. The best part of monster movies is the witty banter that goes on between the characters, looks like its the end of the world but they still want to hook up. Sometimes I do enjoy movies with bugs, monsters and big guns, this was the movie I was looking for and very entertaining even if it was a simple plot and lots of fun, if you are into these types of movies then you will enjoy this one.

Review: Surrogates...

People replaced with robots that can transmit all the experience they have with the five senses back to the human controlling host and can experience extreme action without any damage to the human host. That is the description of a surrogate and people have gotten used to using these types of robots while remaining at home. Any movie that has Bruce Willis in it attracts my attention right away, and this being a Sci Fi movie was a must see for me. But as the film progressed I was a bit disappointed, it was trying to be too many things at once, sceince fiction, drama, personal story, action, thriller, it seems they couldn’t decide on how the story should progress and who should they concentrate on to the point they pulled the movie apart and it wasn’t really much of anything. I was a bit disappointed at the end, I remembered how great iRobot with Will Smith was and how it had great action and got the story across with without tearing itself apart like this movie. Bruce tried hard but it was too much of too many things, making this for a mediocre movie.

Review: Zombieland...

A gun trotting Woody Harrelson in a land filled with zombies, what more can you ask for in a movie. I knew from the moment I saw the cover of this movie that I had to see it, and its as gory as you expect it to be and Woody Harrelson plays the funniest cowboy redneck character with a gun killing zombies for fun. Then there are the other characters who make it just as funny, even with all that gore I was laughing my head off. Just the exact type of movie you would expect right from the name, you won’t be disappointed.

The Expendables Trailer...

Now this is a movie I have been hearing rumors about for a long time, all I kept hearing is that Stallone kept recurriting different actors and now you can see it in this trailer. This is exactly the type of movie I love watching, non-stop action with some humor thrown in. The best part is a lot of my favorite actors are in it, Jet Li and Jason Statham being the top two and the team is hilarious and the action is fantastic. Now we just have to wait for the release.

(Thanks for the email)
