Master sorcerer Balthazar Blake recruits a seemingly everyday guy in his mission to defend New York City from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath.
Nicholas Cage as one of Merlin’s Apprentices and Jay Baruchel as the dorky New Yorker who turns out to have a magic in his blood. The movie is an action packed fun movie from Disney, with lots of magic and entertainment. I’m not the biggest fan of Nicholas Cage but he sometimes does a good job, with this movie its pretty fun but the bad guys aren’t developed enough so that you really hate them, and Jay plays the dorky character perfectly. It’s great when you have a character to direct your hatred towards but Maxim Horvath was more on the entertaining side, the magic was fun but not the greatest movie but I left the movie entertained.

This is probably one of the greatest movies from the late 80s and early 90s, I even remember watching each and every one of those movies on betamax, except for BTTF III which I saw in the cinema. The one thing that stuck in my mind was the flying skate board of Marty McFly and how he never fell off and managed to stay on. If there was any movie to be a classic of the 80s then this would be it, I know I’m going to get this on Blu Ray when its out. And I loved Dr Brown he was hilarious and always getting shocked, I don’t know how many kids who knew what a Flux Capacitor or how much was a Jigawat but it helped Marty & Dr Brown time travel, and I loved the movie music. It was the peak of Michael J Fox, everybody wanted him and I loved that he made these great movies.
I haven’t seen a lot of movies from this summer, I’m planning on watching them soon but there a lot of movies to look forward to for this fall. Resident Evil, Skyline, Monsters, and Harry Potter are at the top of the list.
Batman faces his ultimate challenge as the mysterious Red Hood takes Gotham City by firestorm. One part vigilante, one part criminal kingpin, Red Hood begins cleaning up Gotham with the efficiency of Batman, but without following the same ethical code. Killing is an option. And when the Joker falls in the balance between the two, hard truths are revealed and old wounds are reopened.
It always amazes me how much depth there is to the story of Batman and those around him. Under the Red Hood is a movie I have been looking forward to for some time, a high quality movie from DC Comics. Batman now faces a different kind of foe, someone who seems to be able to keep a step ahead of him but the story slowly unravels. The story is great and the animation is fantastic, I love when they make these high quality movies. I want more of these movies, and especially the Green Lantern. For any fan of the comics this is a must see movie.

Two rival teams of assassins. One killer day at the office.
A battle ensues among Omega & Alpha spy of the government in an top-secret underground facility after their boss is assassinated. With The-Fool’s first day of work he has a lot cut out for him between these two teams.
Mildly amusing for the first 30 minutes, “Operation: Endgame†is a foul-mouthed spoof of secret-agent silliness. Set on the day of President Obama’s inauguration, the movie descends into a sterile, fluorescent-lit bunker to observe two rival teams of government assassins, all named for Tarot cards and all seriously disturbed. It gets right into the gritty mess as soon as you are somewhat introduced to the characters, lots of action and funny moments, you don’t get enough time to figure out the characters. A fly by movie with so many insane scenes thrown at your brain that you don’t have any time to comprehend the characters or even understand them before they end up dead on the floor. Honestly a fun short movie, watch it once and if you don’t want to think too much.

“Sucker Punch” is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, but her incredible adventures blur the lines between what’s real and what is imaginary…with potentially tragic consequences.
Now this is a hell of an action packed movie, it has that same feel as 300 with that gritty film. The idea is interesting but it gets even better with Samurai swords and guns blazing, I can’t wait to see it when its out.
For those who don’t know, Comic Con is the biggest Comic Fan convention in the world taking place in San Diego, and many big movies are previewed their with panels from all the actors, producers, directors, and writers. And luckily over the last few years comics are taken more seriously thanks to Batman & Iron Man, but now the movie blockbuster of next summer is Green Lantern. First thing first, I’m a huge Green Lantern fan, him being my favorite comic book character, a ring the has unlimited power, and its only limits is your will power and imagination. New of the movie got me excited but I wasn’t sure of Ryan Reynolds, since I’m used to him being a comedian, the funny guy, the guy that made us one of the best comedies period, Van Wilder, and I also loved him in Smokin Aces, but as the Green Lantern I wasn’t sure. Its a story you have known all your life, and now that it’s coming to the big screen, I just hope that no one screws the movie up, but after that Comic Con panel video below, I have to say that I think Ryan Reynolds will rock as Hal Jordan the Green Lantern, especially at the 1:32 mark.

In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences with flowering rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbors, hidden beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Surrounded by a small army of minions, we discover Gru, planning the biggest heist in the history of the world. He is going to steal the moon.
The world’s greatest villain has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes.
I’m a big fan of Steve Carrel so I was looking forward to the movie, but wasn’t expecting it to be this good. Gru is trying to be the most evil genius the world, and he just can’t seem to get there. Now Gru is funny, but his minions are hilarious, I mean they are just a bunch of funny creatures who live their lives as minions and funny lives. Throw the kids into the mix and it just gets even funnier, they hit Gru where he doesn’t expect, and its a hell of an adventure. After watching this movie, everyone is going to want a minion, I want a few.

A convicted arsonist (Edward Norton) asks his beautiful wife (Milla Jovovich) to help manipulate the man who holds the keys to his parole (Robert DeNiro).
If Edward Norton is a movie then I’m watching it, but the surprise is the role Milla Jovovich is playing. I like the story line of this movie and the type of characters they each play, I’m used to Jovovich as the ass kicking Alice from Resident Evil but this is a different character for her and it suits her. And Norton as usual wants to screw with people’s heads, and I like De Niro’s character being messed around by both of them.
Now this is really cool, a mecha movie from Korea, a bit looking like the modern version of Mazginer Z but in this case its Robot Taekwon V. Now the funny part is that RTV looks a lot like Optimus Prime, but more of a martial arts version if their was one. There is some concept art, but I’m enjoying the trailers since it would be cool to have the animation this way, and the character animation another way. I can never get sick of big robots kicking each other’s butts and some monsters thrown into the mix. Martial Arts is cool and Giant Robots are cool, now both of them combined is coolness on another level, I just hope they don’t delay this any longer and hoping for an early release.
In the classic 1976 animated movie, Dr. Kim creates the giant robot Taekwon V to fight off an army of evil giant robots created by a mad scientist. Dr. Kim’s oldest son, Kim Hoon, is a taekwon-do champion who uses his taekwon-do moves to control the robot in action. Sometimes Kim Hoon’s girlfriend, Yoon Yeong-hee, takes a turn piloting the giant robot, since she’s also a taekwon-do champion and experienced pilot. And Dr. Kim’s younger son, Kim Cheol, provides the comic relief by cutting holes in a tea kettle and wearing it on his head, pretending to be a robot himself.
