Transformer – Dark Side Of The Moo...

The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and to learn its secrets

There is no denying that I am huge fan of Transformers and loved the first movie, and enjoyed the second even though it wasn’t as good as I hoped it would be. But Transformers Dark Side Of The Moon or TF3 surpassed my expectations, and sent me over the top. The story was so well thought out that I was seriously caught off guard, I didn’t know what to expect and it blew me away. Michael Bay did the whole line of Transfomers justice with this movie, and it really is a movie to end this series on. I am one person who is not happy that the Transformers movies are coming to an end but with this movie it ends on a high note. There were some Autobots that are killed and one of my favorites, and dying in a very shocking way, totally unexpected and it just kept getting crazier and crazier. The story got mixed and deeper in a way I wasn’t expecting and Shia LeBeouf really did an amazing job, and as usual Optimus Prime is a leader to follow, and I loved the comedic touches throughout the movie, timed perfectly with the action. So much to love and I was on the edge of my seat at times during the movie and I hope that somebody picks it up even 10 years down the line. For now as a fan of Transformers I am happy and will be watching it again and again for many years to come.

Review: The Hangover Part 2...

Two years after the bachelor party in Las Vegas, Phil, Stu, Alan, and Doug jet to Thailand for Stu’s wedding. Stu’s plan for a subdued pre-wedding brunch, however, goes seriously awry.

The guys are at it again and this time all the shinanigans take place in Thailand, and Stu is getting married. I have been looking forward to watching this movie for a while now, and uncut. It was worth the wait, it started it off nice and slow, bringing the wolf pack back together for Stu’s wedding and just as things seemed nice and calm, it took a turn for the worse in a very short time. Things go crazy in Bangkok as they try to retrace their steps and figure out what the hell happened, only to keep gettin ginto more trouble and every part is funnier then the other. Somewhat the same formula as the original but hilarious, and I loved it, and of course they had to bring back Chow.

Transformers 3 – Birdmen...

This was stolen from the girls over at Tid Bit Dujour!

Michael Bay took a bunch of Base Jumpers who fly in the moutains to base jumping and flying in the middle Chicago and between all these skyscrappers. It is seriously amazing how they tied this into the action and I can’t wait to see the movie.

Review: Super 8...

After witnessing a mysterious train crash, a group of friends in the summer of 1979 begin noticing strange happenings going around in their small town, and begin to investigate into the creepy phenomenon.

JJ Abrams and Steven Spielberg on the same movie, I didn’t know what to expect but I expect my mind to blown away by the crazy movie they put together secretively over the past few years. I few trailers that I saw said very little and all we knew is that it revolved around some sort of Alien in the 1970s and kids get involved. I was expecting a scifi filled movie with things being destroyed to oblivion and getting shocked with what Abrams and Spielberg had in mind. Instead it took a slightly different route, something I wasn’t expecting and honestly not as good as I hoped it to be. It was well made movie and you really did feel like you were in the 70s but because it was so secretive I just had higher expectations for it.

Review: Green Lantern...

A test pilot is granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe.

I have been waiting to see this movie for a very long time and I was not disappointed. Ryan Reynolds made Hal Jordan his own character and did a great job with it. For any comic fan they will know the story and they do stick to the original Green Lantern story and with some very nice special effects and graphics. I loved how they portrayed the Green Lantern and the Lantern Core, but I would have liked to meet a few more of the Green Lanterns and get used to their characters but they tried to keep it revolving around Hal Jordan. It was a bit slow at first since he is discovering the powers and what he can do but once the action picked up it was amazing. To those who follow the Green Lantern animated movies we do know what is next for the movie but I hope they do something very different since they already introduced the character and for Green Lantern they don’t need to stick to Earth or any one setting. Fun movie and loved the action, and especially the suit.

Tron: Legacy Mural...

End of the Line presents a look at the creation of a 20m-long aerosol Tron: Legacy mural for an art installation in East London. I have a lot respect for Graffiti Artists, some of thing they create are mind bongoling, and now they created the Tron: Legacy Mural with the movie soundtrack playing in the background. Say what you will about the film (I loved it), there’s no denying that it had some style. And that all comes to life with this mural.

Star Wars Lego Diorama from Return of th...

Two things I love in one world Lego and Star Wars, this is a world of wonder in these pictures. This is when Emperor Palpatine’s (Darth Sidious) shuttle landed on Death Star II. I know there are Clone Troopers thrown into the mix, but it still looks pretty damn cool. The amount of skill needed to put something like this together requires a lot of patience and 30’000 bricks. Very cool!

Review: 13 Assassins...

Based on actual events that served as the inspiration for the 1963 film of the same name, Takashi Miike’s 13 Assassins follows a group of noble samurai as they seek to slay a tyrannical, politically connected lord before he seizes control of the entire country. Japan, 1844: as the era of the samurai winds to a close, a sadistic young lord uses his powerful political ties to commit heinous atrocities against the common people. Recognizing the dangers to both his country and its citizens should the lord manage to gain any more power, a concerned government official secretly recruits 13 of the most skilled swordsmen he can find to defeat the evil lord once and for all.

Samurai in the Gentlemen era, and men have to take steps to protect the honor of the people. It takes a while to build through the occasionally dull and hard-to-follow historical exposition of the over-talky opening scenes. But once the Seven-Samurai-style band of brothers is assembled, 13 Assassins is pure pleasure: and it culminates in a magnificent 45-minute showdown that has to be the best final battle sequence in cinema since, oh, Kill Bill at least. A bit of a slow start but once the action begins you won’t think of anything else, 13 men stand against an army. This movie is not for people who can’t take the sight of blood and gore, it isn’t Tarantino style but it gets messy.
