Based on the non-comedy television show that launched Johnny Depp, the comedy film stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as a mismatched pair of cops who join an undercover division that infiltrates a high school to crack down on a new drug. No word on whether Huggy Bear makes an appearance.
If anyone remembers this show, it was serious and it is what brought Johnny Depp to the top of the list and he was cool then just as cool as he is now. Now they are making a movie of it, and its just the concept of some guys who look too young to be cops and get thrown into a highschool to find out whats going and manage to do a few hilarious things on the way. Looks interesting, I for one am for sure going to watch it.
I am one man who is a huge fan of Michael Bay, he knows how to make his movies entertaining and people keep coming back to them. His first movie being Bad Boys which I have probably seen close to 500 times over the last 16 years, I remember seeing it last year so I probably need to watch it again some time soon. Critics may hate the guy but his movies are entertaining and keep making a lot of money, and I hope he keeps making movies like he does.
The list of movies that he has made are all on my top movie list, and a few of them on my top ten list. Michael Bay’s Movies:
A very talented graphic designer has analyzed some information about Bay’s movies and it has some interesting correlation, the more explosions and the more people die in his movies the more money it makes, the numbers don’t lie, check it out below.

There have been a lot of good releases over the past month on bluray and in the theaters, some of them are unknown and some are very well known. I missed some of the animated movies this summer so I’m planning to watch them at home like Cars 2 and Kung Fu Panda 2, then there are the action movies and comedies and some of them I don’t mind watching again. I have seen Captain America and Harry Potter but I know for sure that I am going to watch them again without a doubt, they were just that good. The rest of the movies are pretty good with some thrillers, and a few action movies thrown into the mix.
Batman: Year One is a DC Universe animated feature based on the classic Frank Miller comics that re-imagined Batman’s origins in a darker, grittier fashion, and would go on to become the seminal tale of who Batman is, and how he came to be. A wealthy playboy and a Chicago cop both return to Gotham City where their lives will intersect in unexpected ways.
Year One is story of Batman from the beginning of Gotham and the state that it was. This was the entire point of Miller’s comic: bringing readers into the minds of Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon to show the thoughts and motivations that led each man down the path to becoming the character we know today. What I liked about the animation is that it told a gritty story, without all the gadgets, just batman as he became The Dark Knight. I really liked Jim Gordon in this animated movie, he was a deep dark character who has attitude and I think he was a little more developed then even Batman to a degree. Batman cleaning up Gotham and Gordon taking over the law of the town. The only thing I wanted was it to be a little longer and for them to jump into the Frank Miller story, make it a bit darker and for sure a longer movie.

DC Universe has already another movie lined up and this time its the League of Doom they are up against and they have a lot planned. I really enjoy these types of movies from DC Comics, I always look forward to them, they aren’t block busters but they are pretty good, I usually hope for something darker and grittier like Superman & Batman vs. Apocalypse.
Set in the near future, where robot boxing is a top sport, a struggling promoter feels he’s found a champion in a discarded robot. During his hopeful rise to the top, he discovers he has an 11-year-old son who wants to know his father.
I don’t think there isn’t anyone who wouldn’t want to own a robot and whats cooler then a bunch of robots fighting. Honestly I wasn’t sure of what the story was with this movie, all I knew was that robots were going to be beating each other senseless and that was entertaining enough for me to go see it. It turned out to be a lot more then that, its about litte guy against the big guy, and Hugh Jackman getting hope and getting to know his son again. And with a great story you get to see a bunch of robots beating the crap out of each other consistently so it only made a good story better. I for one like Hugh Jackman and I really liked him in this movie, and Goyo playing his kid was pretty spunky, I liked him too. If you have seen the movie then I want the robot called Noisy Boy following me around and fighting under my command, damn cool robot.

A man caught in the middle of two simultaneous robberies at the same bank desperately tries to protect the teller with whom he’s secretly in love.
Two Robberies in the same bank, one team is a professional the others are bunch of hillbillies, literally hillbillies. Patrick Dempsey plays the role of a man neurotic genius who can analyze any situation and see it play out in his head, but he is also off his medication. The bank robbers work out a deal so they both rob the bank but things start to go wrong and people start dying. This is an action comedy with an Unusual Suspects feel to the movie, I honestly loved it and I won’t say anything else so I won’t ruin it for people.

The Movies:
As expected Avatar topped the list but there are a few odd ones I wasn’t expecting on the list. Most of these are crazy blockbuster movies so Kick-Ass is odd man out, also I wouldn’t think that The Incredible Hulk would be there when it was the second movie and they forgot about the original. I expected The Dark Knight and Transformers, but surprised that Iron Man isn’t on the list. I remember The Departed to be a fantastic movie can’t blame it for being up there. Man I loved the Matrix and still do, it was a revolutionary movie when it came out and I still think so to this day. If you have any inclinations to martial arts then you will love this video, wouldn’t we all want the every type of martial arts downloaded to our cerebral cortex. This video of the Matrix fight scenes is compared with all the great Asian Martial Arts movies from Drunk Master all the way to Ghost In The Shell. What do you think about the Wachowski’s for using these techniques for their film? I think it doesn’t detract from the movie.
