Blazing Streets...

I went out yesterday after waking up comfortably. I have to say that it was a fantastic ride since 90% of the streets were empty, and I stopped by the scientific center to take some photos. Since it was such a nice day, and I took the bike on the side walk. I was taking a lot of pictures when a security guy came up to me and asked me to park in the parking spots. I told him Im just taking some photos and then I will be out of his way, I was very polite to the guy since he was polite to me. Then he was asking me about the bike and how I like it. He has seen it online and in magazines, but never seen it in real life. He was asking how I like and if it feels as heavy as it looks, and he wants to get a Suzuki. I asked him if he road before he told me a little while back so I gave him a couple of pointers. Then he told me stay as long as I want and he left, he was a nice guy and people were always stopping and looking when I would stop! hehehehe! Never seen a civilized biker before! hehehehehe..

Then there is the curved part of the gulf road between 3rd and 2nd ring road, and there was no cars what so ever. So I took it at comfortable speed sweeping across and staying in my lane while getting the bike as low as possible. I looked down and I was going around 180kph on an empty sweeping road, and my adrenaline was rushing like no other with wind in my face. My brain was taking in every little detail that I could see. It was an amazing feeling! The rush, and the wind with the music in my head blaring! I couldnt have been happier! I wish their were more times like these where people werent on the road. I went to souq sharq which was packed with people to stop and take pictures as well. I havent seen it that packed with shoppers before! So many people going shopping it was rediculous! Then after a nice long drive around for another hour on the gulf road and the inner roads of Kuwait I was heading home, because I knew my nephew would wake up!

Looking Evil in the Face...

evilintwoformssm.jpg

These are just two evil looking bikes! I love the way they look! On the right is the blood red 05 Yamaha R1, and on the left is the bright red 06 Daytona 675. Usually its me and hamdy riding either bike in the hills. Sometimes I go out on the R1, and Hamdy is on the Daytona. And sometimes we switch, its just a matter of what the other guy is feeling that day. The R1 is a monster on the highways, and the Daytona handles amazingly! I love both bikes, and both are quite different. And the best is riding with someone who knows his limits and has good riding istincts! I have a lot of riding pictures I need to put up! You can click the picture to take a closer look at evil! I think they are evil because these bikes bring out the evil side of a person!!

Modeling Helmets...

scorpionrevit.jpg

This is just a funny picture of my friend Hamdy in the states modeling a helmet I bought in september while I was there! Its a great helmet from Scorpion and the eyes thing weirds people out! Its the Scorpion Rivet in Silver! It looks better in real life because of the non-glossy look! I love it! And it was funny as hell that he was walking around in it all day long!

And yes thats my Seagate Hard Drive on the table.

Hamdy is my best motorcycle riding partner! We have been riding bikes together for the past 5 years! He knows how I ride, and I know how he rides! He is also one of my closest friends! Good times! Cant wait to go riding with him again!

Robo Upgrades...

bmk1200R.jpg
Blue High Performance AirFilter

This Airfilter will help the bike breath better and get a bit more air into the engine and its made of high grade material. It only needs to be serviced every 32’000KMs. This Blue airfilter is made for high performance and durability. So I hoping it will help the bike breath better.
leverset.jpg

Adjustable Lever Set

The one thing I dont like about most bikes is the levers. The levers on the K1200R is too big in my opinion, some people my feel differently. These levers are shorter with adjustable distance from your fingers. If you use two or three fingers for shifting or breaking then you wont be crushing your pinky or other fingers because of the way this lever is shaped. So I think this is an extremely needed upgrade!

oilcooler.jpg

Oil Cooler Screen

This screen protects the oil cooler from debris, once debris gets into the oil cooler its hell to get out. And in Kuwait there is alot of debris. So this will just keep the dirt out and the bike will still be able to cool down quickly.
strut.jpg

Rizoma Paralever Strut

This strut is lighter and just as strong as the standard strut. And it looks really cool since the whole bottom of the bike is powder coated black this will help emmensely since it breaks all the black with a little silver.
rearsets.jpg

Adjustable Rearset Pegs

These are high performance rear sets with a lot of room for adjustments that way you can adjust your riding position on the bike to be more sporty or more relaxed. I dont have a problem with the rear sets right now, but I would like the option to adjust it and these bad boys fit the bill.

Throttle Lock

These are direct replacements for the right and left bar end weights, included in this system is a cruise control system to help you lock the throttle when your just cruising long distances and sometimes I need that when the road is extremely empty, and it can be disengadged very easily.

Out & About...

So I got off work yesterday and I didnt feel like heading home right away. I felt going for a nice ride, I took off from work knowing I just finished everything before things start flying at me. I got my gear on, I put Isla Bonita on my MP3 player and headed for the gulf road! I knew nobody would be on the road at 1:30pm on thursday when nobody went to work in the first place. It was great! I went all the way around until I noticed that I needed some gas, so when I went from Shuweikh all the way around the city to the first ring road to the first ring road, and I noticed I was running low on gas and I didnt know any place that close by with high octane gas so I went to Mansooriya to the small gas station there and filled up the Robo! It just felt good that everything was operating smoothly and the music was good, by this point I was listening to Will Smith – MIB one of my favorite songs.

19102006121.jpg

These are my favorite pair of gloves from Alpinestar, I have one pair here and one pair in the states, So much protection and my movement isnt restricted at all! And I like punchin my friends while wearing them since the outer shell is made of strong carbon fiber! hehehehe!

19102006124.jpg

Close up of Robo while I stopped at the Palms for a quick photo op. What a nice day! Roads were relatively empty and I was enjoying myself.

19102006122.jpg

19102006123.jpg

From there I head off down the gulf road towards the sixth ring road to head home. I got home and I my tshirt changed colors! hehehe! When its a bit hot, you sweat a bit! hehehe! I took a really nice shower and I found my nephew trying to push my door. Then I had to change his dipers and help out with that. Its not easy trying to keep him still! hehehe! And he wants to jump when Im holding him! hehehe! It was funny!

And today was a nice day to, I got on the bike and went for a quick shave and cut. 20 mins in and out! Shaved my head and fixed my goatee. I felt refreshed, and I went for a nice ride for a little while. And the greatest part is little kids waving at me when Im at a light or passing by! I do wave back! It was a nice ride!

Empty Roads...

1) Empty Roads … Check

2) Enough Gas … Check

3) Mp3 player … Check

4) Smiling like an idiot while navigating traffic … Check

19102006119.jpg

Stopped for a quick adjustment of the mp3 and a photo op since I was so early to work

19102006120.jpg

Great to have covered parking when nobody comes to work on a thursday!

Good times.. Now Im looking forward to leaving work! hehehe! And because Im feeling this way I know Im going to try to leave early! I think everyone is gone for vacation and those who have work arent even going to work. So its going to be pretty interesting.

Day In...

motorcycle.jpg

I know I got a lot of work tommorow, especially since tommorow is one of the few days left to work. I need to make sure everything goes smoothly, but the one thing Im looking forward to is that I dont have any formal meetings. So I can do one thing for sure! Which is go riding to work. I alreayd put my laptop in my back pack and its already charged so I dont need the power plug with me. Its going to be an interesting day for sure, but at least riding to and from work is going to be pretty nice, and Im taking the long way there both ways. Because of this Im looking forward to waking up early just to get on my bike!

Ride Out...

After seeing that MV Agusta on the road I really felt like riding! I havent ridden in a while because of work and how crazy things were! So I needed to get on the bike! I had to go for a ride! Even if it was for 5 mins! I just needed to clear my head! It has been a long three weeks, things have been hectic everywhere! So then after sitting with the family for a bit I decided to get on the bike at 10:00pm. I got my gear on, and Im happy I broke in my boots just right. So then I started the bike, and had the burbble of mischievious intent! I smiling under my helmet. I got on my bike and headed for the seaside. I wanted to get a cool drink in this extremely humid weather so I got going.

17102006117.jpg

I head over to the Palms starbucks and it was perfect, they just repaved the road, but I was worried about the humidity so I wasnt pulling any crazy turns. But the cars were flying past me to get stuck at the light! And I just slowly move to the front. I was really happy feeling the grumble from my bike, and I was happy and nothing could be better. Life was good at that moment! Then after 45 mins of riding I headed over home to get some rest before a hectic day at work!  Then I got home and parked the bike slowly taking my gear off and lying down. I wiped the helmet and the bike down since it was so humid, and everything felt right in the world just at that moment.
