Spinning… invertedly...

I am completely out of it, and I know I have work tomorrow. It got really bad today but I have been acting normally while my mother was in the house and I was happy she had something to do since she rarely goes out so I didn’t want to ruin her night. As soon as she left I headed straight for the International Clinic to a Doctor that I know. I asked him to check me out, and I waited about an hour since there were a few couple’s and a mother & daughter in front of me. I didn’t mind, I was just completely out of it. I dont even know how I drove there, reallllyyyy slowly I think. My nose is going to fall out at this rate and it feels like I have a Tyco truck shoved in my throat. When I saw the doctor he said you have a bacteria infection and it has been at least five days since it started! I’m just happy I didn’t let it ruin my weekend, so he gave me an antibiotic shot and some medication if I don’t feel better tomorrow. I am feeling dizzy as hell, I don’t even know how I got home, my arm was hurting like crazy because it wasn’t a normal injection it was a seringe pump into my arm, so I could feel some pain in my arm.

I’m hoping to feel better soon, and I can’t skip work since I have a lot of work due tomorrow, I’m going to try to finish it early and head home. My head feels all tingly and a slight headache but I’m hoping to pass out soon! I’m having some Bounty just because I wanted something and didn’t feel like real food! And Doc basically said I’m fat hahaha, its the one thing that made me laugh. At that point I was too tired to care!

Red Bull...

Red-Bull-(red).jpg

This is one thing that I dont get! Red Bull tastes like cough syrup to me, and I just tasted it never really drank one. But there are some people who are extremely addicted to it. I dont just mean one or two a day I mean three or four in the morning to get them going. I have seen people who cant sleep after drinking two of them and they say they feel their hear pumping like crazy. I dont think its a good thing, I think it really is worse then coffee because it could get your heart racing like no other. And if someone drops dead from drinking too much Red Bull they say that there is no medical proof that it was red bull that did it. The guy was fine before but his heart pumped so much that it broke. I like the RedBull bike thats about it!

Review: Dr. Abdul Mohsin M. Jafar...

Why:

I was cleaning my ears with the ear buds after taking a shower, but I pushed a little too far in. So I felt a weird feeling and stopped what I was doing hoping it would go away. I just felt this uncomfortable feeling around my left ear. So I went about my day and everything was good. The next day I went swimming in the pool and everything seemed to be ok. At one point I went under water and tried to go deep, and when I did that I suddenly felt as if somebody kicked me in the head. I couldnt move because of the pain in my head while I was under water. I was about two meters under water, and I felt as I couldnt move. I knew at that point I need to get up. So I did, and I could feel the pain in the left side of my head and around my left jawline. My family was around the house and I didnt want to bother them so I just said I was tired, because it showed that something was wrong but I didnt want anyone to worry. I went to my room and didnt see anything coming out of my ear, and I could still hear from both ears, but I was worried. And I asked my family if they knew a good ear doctor and I asked my friends. Next day my friend got back to me and told me Dr.Abdulmohsin Jafar is a good doctor that his mother went to before and some other members of his family. So I decided to go.

Waiting Room:

So I found out that he is open from 11am to 1pm and 4:30pm to 8:30pm at a private clinic in She’ib. I came into the waiting room which isnt too big, but there are comfotable leather seats, not too soft but better then the plastic seats in hospitals. About 13 seats in total and there were four people before me. There is no appointments. Its a first come first serve basis, and it did go as first come first serve with no problems. I got there 4:45pm but I didnt get to see the doctor until 6pm. I had to pay a first time registration fee of 20 KD which was fine with me. There is water located in the waiting room, tv, and some magazines, but your better off bringing your own reading material.

Doctor Meeting:

When I went in the doctor was very nice, and he is scruffy look. He is a bit short and greying hair, but a young guy. Very nice attitude when talking to him. He was educated in Canada and certified in the UK and the US. So he is fluent in arabic and english. His english is american, so anyone can go to him. We went to the examination room, and he put a long tube in my right ear to see the healthy ear and then from there he looked at the left ear. I told him everything I did and what happened with the swimming. He told me my ear drum isnt damaged at all, the left one was just irritated. But the pain was caused because the I push the wax down to the inner tube and it expanded under pressure from swimming. That is what causing the pain, but the pain in my jaw line might be because of an infection. He told me he usually puts a liquid to help shrink the wax, and tells the patient to come the next day. But he will try helping me now, and if he cant he will put a liquid and I should come the next day. He proceeded to do what he does, and I felt some pain which he told me I will, and he was talking me through it. And he explained to me everything he was doing. And I was extremely happy he helped me and got everything cleared. I lost my balance for about 3 mins which he told me would happen. I felt the pain decrease dramatically! Just a little pain left, but at least I could think with a clear head. I would recommend anyone with any ear problems to go to this doctor!! And I paid another 20 KD for the consultation thats it. I would have paid anything to make the pain go away!

Dr. Jafar is an Ear, Nose, & Throat specialist. He also performs Facial Plastic Surgery, but not at his clinic. He performs the surgery at Muwasaat hospital or Al Haady Hospital. In the waiting there were 4 girls who had nose jobs, but I dont know if they look good or not, because they had their face completely covered so I couldnt judge his work. But everyone seemed to be happy with the doctor’s work form this point of view.

Location:

He is in a building which is extremely easy to get to. He is in She’ib. Go on fahaheel Express way keep Qadsiya Club on your left, and Sheikh Sa’ads house on your right, and the first right after the bridge after Qadsiya club its the first building on your left. You really cant miss it. And its a first come first serve basis.

Medical Check Up...

I have been in Minnesota for about a week and a few days now. Medical check ups for my mom, and a few other things to help her out. Things are coming to an end here with these appointments. So I have been pressured by family and other family members to get a check up done while I was here, and to check up on my family history and stuff.

So I said ok, everything was done in one day. But I have to say that I have never felt so violated in my life! I havent had a physical in almost five years. They did the works on me, and I thought the doctor is just going to look at the results and tell me if Im healthy or sick! Well I was suprised when he told me to take my cloths off… I was stunned for second.. and I felt a shiver down my back! Lets just say I have never had some of these physical tests before.

Doctors Conclusions:

1) Healthy Body Movement

2) I have a Healthy Sex Drive

3) I am Over-Wieght and need to drop about 12-15Kgs..

After all that tests and he didnt tell me something I didnt know. hehehe

Medical Leave...

Going to be gone for about two weeks from Kuwait. Gone with my mother for medical check ups in the states. She is feeling ok, but not great. Hopefully they can help her and everything turns out alright. At least it aint freezing cold!!

Amiri Hospital Visit...

My aunt wasnt feeling too good for a couple of days so she had an appointment to go to the hospital on Monday. So I called her up and told her I was coming with her since her son isnt here. And Im pretty good at shouting and getting my way in Goverment areas so I thought I could be of some help and entertainment.

Just for those who are wondering she is feeling better but it seems that her nerves in her neck are slightly pinched so it is causing her some pain. So when we got to the doctors appointment there were a lot of women and some men. With this post I am going to give some pointers to help in government medical facilities. I have to say that its known in Kuwait that Government Doctors are the best in Kuwait. First thing I was surprised to see is that they have fixed up Amiri Hospital. It looks like a decent hospital from the inside these days. At last it doesnt look like a run down building about to be demolished.
The reason why its fixed up these days is because certain families take a whole wing and fix it up completely on their own bill. So it doesnt look that depressing anymore. So one family fixed up the whole ground floor. Another family fixed up the first floor completely. So the floors might be slightly different but they look good. It isnt perfect, but its a lot better! Those are the floors that I saw, I didnt see the rest.
And now when you go to the doctor it isnt a set appointment you have to get a piece of paper with a number on it. And there is ticker above the doctor’s door. Its better this way so you really know who’s turn it is. At least its a ticker system, but some how its working. The tests such as CT Scan, Xray, and Blood work were very good and on time. Usually for a CT Scan you have scheduelle for another day except if it was the doctor’s orders and it was. The doctors are very decent and really try to help, this is my experience from meeting a couple of them.

Pointers to Keep in mind:

  • You have to have your civil ID on you all the time!
  • The managment is still somewhat bad. When you go to the doctor get a ticker and then go get your file, because when your number is called they tell you why didnt you get your file then somebody else comes in. And there is a possibilty that they lose you file. So if they lose your file you have to go back to the Doctor’s Nurse and get a piece paper from her saying to create a new file so you can into your appointment. Get all the things done before your turn comes up. (And yes they did lose my aunt’s file)
  • Be patient with the ladies behind the counters because they can make your lives a living hell! (I was smiling and being very nice to them so I got what I wanted). And some of them have a loootttt of attitude so just be patient. (It was hard!)
  • Even though there is a ticker system and you have your number keep your eye out for women who always try to skip. I noticed that some women always try to skip and the men rarely did which was interesting. So if its your turn and somebody else walks in, dont wait walk right behind them ask for their ticket number (that is what I did to one women and she tried to lie so I went off on her, but it was for my aunt’s friend who had an appointment. And then I did again for my aunt’s appointment. She also did a fair share of arguing! lol)

Hopefully this will help people if they go to Amiri or any other government medical facility. And I did entertain my aunt!
