Filmed at a sold-out performance at Madison Square Garden, comedian Kevin Hart delivers material from his 2012 “Let Me Explain” concert tour.
I’m a huge fan of Kevin Hart, the guy has a fantastic sense of humor and knows how to be funny on all levels, if he is doing stand up or acting in a tv show or movie, he is great. This show cases one of his best stand up shows I have seen, he is hilarious and bit after bit you keep laughing. You also get to see what happened with these guys on the tour bus across Europe and different places around the world. If you want to laugh then you have to watch Kevin Hart.

There is no question that I am a huge fan of Will Smith, and I was too young to go to any of his concerts but this video says it all. He is just as good as he was when he was young, I loved it when he started singing the old school songs. Gabrielle Union is one lucky woman to have him freestyling at her birthday, it looks like it was a ton of fun. I still listen to Will Smith’s old school hits.
One of the things that I love to do while I travel is going to Comedy Clubs whenever I have the chance. This time around while I was in San Francisco one of the shows was Chris Kattan and I got excited since I remembered him from his days in Saturday Night Live, the guy was hilarious. Plus he was in the Night At The Roxbury with Will Ferrel, one of the ridiculous movies that I still love.
So the idea of seeing Chris Kattan live was exciting and I was very looking forward to it. Of course when you have a big star comedian usually there are one or two other people who are just good comedians but not that known, the main act is usually last but this time around he was first.
I thought I was going to get some funny sketches from SNL and some funny personal experiences and how he delivers it on TV. But I was honestly very disappointed in the guy, he just kept babling on and not really getting any punch lines in. I know there are different styles of comedy & stand-up and I’m honestly very flexible but in his case he just seemed unprepared for it and was winging it on stage. He didn’t even make the effort to remember the guy’s who are performing with him on stage, and it turns out they were 10 times better. The only reason he got a 1 out of 5 is because the other guys did great while he completely bombed the act.

There has been a lot of noise about this musical online so I interested to see it if I had the chance. I’m a very big fan of musicals and shows, but its rare that I have a chance to be in New York to see them at the time of their showing, and some run for yours but I missed them. This time around I had the chance to go see the controversial Spider-Men Turn Off The Dark. It became one of the most expensive productions in Broadway history at the cost of 65 Million, and since the beginning of the show it has been plagued with issues from malfunctioning stunts, to injuries, and cast leaving with new ones being added.
After hearing so much about it I really wanted to see it, it couldn’t have been as bad as many people were saying and honestly it wasn’t. As a huge comic fan I was very excited to see what they were planning on doing. It was an exciting musical to watch and it was more like a show from Las Vegas with all the acrobatics and machinery involved then it is a Broadway musical. But something that I found strange is that they took a very strange approach to the story and modified about 40% of it which I didn’t care for too much. The story was decent and the action around the theater was a lot of fun but you can imagine that one of these guys can fall on the crowd, they get really close. The slow scenes were a bit annoying but the bad guy playing the Green Goblin was very funny and was the best actor in the whole musical. It has more action then the usual musical and kids really seem to love the show but its not for everyone, and comic fans love Spidey but the show just isn’t a fit for fans.

I used to go to comedy shows on a weekly basis in the states or whenever we can, there are always new up and coming comedians who take the stage and make you laugh. A few years ago we had Axis of Evil come to Kuwait and everyone loved it, the show was completely sold out, the guys were fantastic. Coming back after a few years are Maz Jobrani and Ahmed Ahmed in the new show “You Think You Can Laugh”. The two you additions to the show are Dean Edwards and Sugar Sammy, I haven’t heard of them before but I knew it was going to be good. We took the VIP tickets for 40 KD which were very much worth it, just close enough you can see them and their facial expressions, just far enough so they won’t target you. The people who brought this comedy group to Kuwait again is called Element 8, they did an amazing job the first time around, and this time they brought this great comedy line up to Kuwait.
The show started off with Ahmed Ahmed who was introducing people and warming up the crowd, he did a fantastic job breaking the ice and funny as usual. Then there was Sugar Sammy who is probably one of the funniest guys I have seen yet, he is Indian and he left no topic untouched I was laughing so hard I almost fell off my seat. Dean Edwards was the third guy up and this guy was a bundle of energy, he was amazing, he was singing like Michael Jackson, impersonating Eddy Murphy, copying Chris Rock and he was all over the place it was fantastic, he just wouldn’t stop. Then Maz Jobrani comes on and takes the crowd away, it was hilarious and he just wouldn’t stop about Arabs and Persians. The best out of the four in my opinion was Sugar Sammy, and I loved Dean Edwards I just couldn’t stop laughing. The show was fantastic, the two hours flew by so quick we all wanted more. Honestly they should have more comedy shows in Kuwait they would sell out all the time, people love it and their is an acceptance for it, we are starving for good shows such as these, my hat goes off to Element 8 for putting this together.
