Halo Reach – MultiPlayer Galore...

Reach takes place in a futuristic science fiction setting during the year 2552, days before the events of the 2001 video game Halo: Combat Evolved. Humans, under the auspices of the United Nations Space Command (UNSC), have been waging a long war against a collective of alien races known as the Covenant. By the events of Reach, almost all of humanity’s interstellar colonies have fallen. Reach itself is an Earthlike colony that serves as the UNSC’s main military hub. In addition to the military presence, the colony is home to 500 million civilians.

The game follows the actions of Noble Team, a UNSC special operations unit composed of elite supersoldiers known as Spartans. Players assume the role of an unnamed new addition to the team, identified by the call sign Noble 6. Noble Team’s leader is Carter-259, a no-nonsense soldier. His second-in-command, Kat-320, has a bionic arm; together Carter and Kat are the only two remaining original members of Noble Team. The other members include heavy weapons specialist Jorge-052, Emile-239, and marksman Jun-226.

As a loyal Halo fan I think I just keep wait for each iteration of this game and how they are going to top it, for a while Halo 3 was going to be the last release as they were working on it but luckily they felt that there was still more to do. Then there was ODST which was fantastic but still not enough, it didn’t satisfy my hunger for this game, we finished it within hours and now Halo Reach has come to pass. From what I have read and seen I have been told that they have gone back to the drawing board and reworked the whole graphics and AI engine, meaning the bad guys are meaner and the explosions are bigger. The best part is always the story, this time about how the Spartans came to be and somewhat the story of Masterchief, but even with one player they knew to concentrate on the multiplayer game which is what we keep playing again and again. Just by looking at the trailer below it looks to be a lot more detailed, meaner, tougher, and a lot more fun. You can really customize the your Spartan this time around and it seems the weapons are more potent then they were before. I can’t wait to get my hands on this game, I will dedicate my time to finish it and annihilate those in multiplayer.

StarCraft II – Update...

At last we are seeing some light at the end of this tunnel, I don’t know how long I have been anticipating this game and waiting for it. I have really lost count for how many times I said I will build a machine only for this game, but at this point I’m just anxious to get my hands on it. I’m at the stage of I will believe it when I see it, but I can’t help getting excited seeing the different screen shots and people describing the beta which has just been released. When looking at the screen shots, I look at the different units, the possibilities, whats new and how are they positioned. I’m going for either Terrans or Protos, and I hate the Zerg because they are slimy filthy creatures that should be destroyed.

Well it seems a lot of people seem to be very happy with the Beta release of this game, no extreme views out about it. Blizzard changes just enough of it to be new but they didn’t mess with the successful formula. The graphics seem to be phenomenal, they kept on refining it until they thought it was perfect for release. The game play is smooth and you don’t need a monster machine to play it at really good graphics which is good news. You can check out the breakdown of the Beta release over at Kotaku

Golden Eye – Game & Movie...

GoldenEye

When this movie came out I was dying to go see it in the theater, I remember being so impressed with Pierce Brosnan he automatically became the number 1 Bond for me. Sean Connery is the original and can’t be replaced, but Brosnan was the modernization of Bond with the end of the Soviet Era and Cold War. There were a lot of firsts in this movie, it didn’t follow any of Ian Flemings books, M was female for the first time, and the introduction of the BMW as Bonds car as a replacement for the for the Aston Martin, I remember BMW having those BMW Films which were meant to coincide with the release of a few of the Bond movies. It wasn’t the movie that was great, the video game was something else as well, the movie introduced Brosnan as the new slick Bond who can handle any situation or woman.

The video game was something else, it was unexpected, I for one remember it as one of the games that really introduced me to the First Person Shooter. I remember begging my mother for Nintendo N64, and she brought it with this game as I asked, I spent hours upon hours playing this game, we all took turns with the lowest scorer switching out with the other person. I didn’t step out much since I always had high scores, I fell in love with the first person shooter and we played that game for a long time, even played it during college which was a little old by then but still the perfect game. The AI was predictable but it made you feel that you were that much better, but you had to act fast. Lots of people still agree that it is still one of the best First Person Shooters of all time, Golden Eye was for the N64 what Halo is for XBox. Found memories of this game and movie, I always love Bond movies.

Games Apps for iPod/iPhone...

There have been a lot of games coming out for iPhone/iPod Touch, some great and some crappy. I have managed to categorize games based on the amount of time it takes for you to get bored of them. Out of all the games I played these four games have the highest quality and highest return rate, meaning I keep playing again. Also some of them can take your attention for 5 minutes, and some for hours but I didn’t get bored of them yet. Some First Person Shooter games really didn’t work out too well because I sometimes leaned so far as to fall of the chair when I’m trying to go forward and shoot around a corner, but these games are fun and kill a lot of time which they are supposed to do.

Games:

  • Madden NFL – The perfect game for those who love football, season game perfect for your team
  • Star Wars – For a quick game this is a perfect shooter, you get caught up with the flying and shooting
  • Monopoly World – This game is addicting and you really get caught up on it!
  • Command & Conquer – The classic C&C but no multiplayer, still a lot of fun.
New Fist Of The North Star – Game...

HokutoNoKen1

Now this is something to look forward to, the creaters of Samurai Warroirs, and Koei the developers of Dynasty Warriors are bring one of the bloodiest and most entertaining animes to a console near you. The description below is just enough to bring back memories of this shocking anime, with guts bursting everywhere, blood smears at every corner in this apocalyptic world. Even though this is an early announcement I do hope to get my hands on it and play out the characters they have lined up, the special moves are going to be cool and gory.

HokutoNoKen2

According to official word, gamers will “unleash a myriad of devastating fighting techniques and finishing moves powerful enough to bring down whole buildings,” cause enemies to “violently explode on screen” and trigger “the instantaneous breakdown of internal organs.”

Halo ODST – Done...

I pre-ordered Halo ODST over a month ago, and it was well worth the wait. I didn’t know what to expect and I didn’t want to read anything that was written up about it, this is the only game that I finished since Halo 3, and I didn’t even manage to finish Halo Wars even though I want to. Incidentally I was playing KillZone 2 on PS3 to try it out and to hear what all the fuss was about but it doesn’t even compare to the Halo Series. after about 18 hours of intense gaming co-op campaign sessions on Halo ODST we surprisingly reached the end, I was really enjoying playing campaign mode on Halo ODST, it was better then Halo 2 and Halo 3.

What’s different about Halo ODST is that you have a sort of Night Vision system which works great in the dark and your fighting monsters that you can really kill, not those sludgy creatures that get annoying, even if they are tough they die after some bullets. The game feels more refined and its nice that there is a really well made story line attached to the original Halo. I just hope that Bungie keeps on making Halo games with different stories and hopefully move forward with it, its once of the few games that I have ever kept on repeating.

Now for the stats, I have done decently well but fallen far from those who are living online and killing non-stop and refining their skills. In Halo 3 I get anniahlated pretty quickly, except if I have rocket launcher so thats a different story. Halo ODST doesn’t have direct multiplayer but it has Firefights, which are swarms of killing those monsters again again, wave after wave of monsters getting tougher every time and you only have so many lives, weapons, and health packs. That is turning out to be very interesting and I’m thoroughly enjoying it, but I need to get some practice, you can have it co-op with two players and you can have more players in the firefight if your friends join you from X-Box Live, but I am still getting used to it.

Overall Bungie have made an amazing game, there was just so much that was done, but I was hoping for more so this time around I’m going to play on a harder setting. They have done such a great job with other iterations of Halo that we expect and want so much, and I was hoping for the multiplayer to be upgraded with some of the game play from the campaign which gives you night vision at night, enabling you to really shoot better. If you haven’t played it then you are missing out.

Command & Conquer 4: Tiberium...

I was playing Command & Conquer 3 Red Alert for a while and enjoying the hell out of it but it was very time consuming and when I get busy I forgot about it a bit that I didn’t finish the campagins. But then I just go in for a bit of skirmishes, and I do love when I build up the army with all the developed technology to beat up the enemy. There are people with different tactics, mine are to build up until I have a ridiculously sized army and overwhelm the enemy, and some are to attack as soon as they have any military units. Now I’m surprised that they came out with C&C4 already, well its almost out but I know that I am going to get my hands on it for the PC because it can only really be played on a PC.

Halo Anime – 5 Mins Of It...

I think they went down the right road to turn Halo into an Anime, to tie up the rich storylines together between all that the Sergeant has gone through. This is a five minute clip of the anime and I’m happy to see that they are doing it justice, and the Spartan is shown as the bad ass that he is, can’t wait for the whole anime to start coming out. Even the noises of the little grunts getting killed sounds the same, I’m planning to watch it in Japanese with Subtitles rather then with English dialogue.

Ninja Gainden 3 Ad LOL...

Sony have managed to integrate their motion sensing features into the new Ninja Gaiden 3, and you can see the results. I think the Japanese have a very unique idea of advertising and there are certain things that they don’t find taboo and this Ad just exhibits it perfectly.

Halo ODST – Live Trailer...

I have preordered this game a long time back, but I don’t think I’m getting the special features because I’m ordering it through Amazon. But check out the live trailer they did for Halo ODST it gives you a real feel to the game, I really do hope they come out with the movie soon. The funny part are the “Red vs. Blue” Episodes about how the normal Halo players are afraid of the ODST players. I think we might have a chance with ODST but still get are asses handed to us.
