Overdose on Rockband...

It should be called battle of the bands, some of the guys are seriously damn good at it. They go online and battle other people and annihilate them. This weekend consisted of our upon our of Rock Band, with a Bass, Guitar, Drums, and Mic. We even have replacements for each member of the band to keep going and going and going. By the end of the night some people no longer can speak, some have muscle spasms, and some have blisters. I felt so tired, I fell asleep for about an hour and half, I woke to them still playing full force. This game is so damn addictive, its got people who never touched a joystick in their life playing this damn game nonstop and asking when we are going to join up to play again, next stage starting a real band.

Review: Army of Two...

army_of_twoa.jpg

This turned out to be an interesting game, it was delayed until recently for the launch. I expected the usual First Person Shooter but it turned out to be a little different. This is more of a Co-op game that is more enjoyable with someone that knows how to play first person shooter games and is good at cooperative play. This is a little different then most games since you are trying to make money on all the missions to upgrade weapons, armor, and clothing in different ways. You get to switch weapons with your partner in mid fight, and you can change the assortment of weapons so that you can really cover yourself in battle. Then there is the rage meter, if you both buildup rage from being shot at then you can slow down time for about 13 seconds and you can kill as many guys as you can.

It is a fun game with a little different style to the gaming, but it takes some getting used to. I do enjoy the sniper rifles they have, and there are some crazy sniper rifles that you can only use by winning a lot of contracts and getting the money to purchase them. Overall there are other first person shooter games which are better then this but it is an entertaining game and very well made.

A Couple of Games...

img150308-003.jpg

I usually buy my games from the Kuwaiti Center since I usually know they have good prices. I went through the list of games they had, and I picked up the ones I have been waiting to get for a while:

  • Army of Two
  • Naruto: Rise of the Ninja
  • Devil May Cry 4
  • Dynasty Warriors 6
  • Ace Combat 6

I got all five games for 18 KD each which is a pretty good deal since all the stores gave me only 20 KD and a minimum of 19 KD.

Halo 3 McFarlane Figures...

halomasterchief.jpg

I do love Halo 3 and these are the coolest figures I have seen yet. Who wouldn’t want to get some of these, I would get the three different versions of the Master Chief and then I would get the Warthog. Just have to find the right place to place them.

Games T...

acecombat6a.jpg

If I had time to play games this would be the list that I would be looking at, I keep hearing good things about Ace Combat 6 and some people have been very happy playing Naruto on XBox 360 so I want to get my hands on that. A friend of mine has Assasin’s Creed so I shall steal that from him when he isn’t looking, then there are the other games. I have to say that I am still playing Halo 3, not as much as before since I don’t have as much time.

narutorise1.jpg

  1. Ace Combat 6
  2. Naruto – Rise of a Ninja
  3. Assasin’s Creed (Will Steal From Friend)
  4. Mass Effect
  5. Ninja Gaiden 2
  6. Time Shift
  7. Warriors Orochi

ninjagaiden2a.jpg Some of these games I will get in due time, its good to get these games at a later point since the price drops a bit but the playability never changes. One game that never dropped in price was Halo, Halo 2, and now Halo 3. There is GTA IV which everyone has been waiting for, and I know I want to play the game but I have a bad feeling that it is extremely addictive and that sort of game requires a large investment of time to get ahead in the game.

Guiter Hero… No...

guitarhero.jpg

I tried to play Guitar Hero on the Wii the other week and I watched my friend play it. I thought to myself he makes it look simple and there must be a way to get it down. He was at a certain level that I had no clue things were, so I thought I would give it a try after watching him for 15 minutes.

I chose a song that I knew, so I went with Guns & Roses – Welcome to Jungle. When the song start I managed to get a few right, then suddenly I was missed everything, then I started laughing because I was messing it up so bad even the Wii booed me. I was laughing so hard, and I think I pulled my calf muscle trying real hard to get it right but I couldn’t manage to recover. The game is harder then it looks and I was laughing my head off at the horrible performance of mine.

Assassin’s Creed...

The long awaited has finally arrived, a finely constructed game with an excellent story and lots of action and fighting. It is taking place on 1191 AD in the Holy Cities with a fantastic plot to follow. I can’t wait to play this game since they have taken the time to make it.

Halo 3 and more!...

halo3_valhalla.jpg

I can’t stop saying and I won’t stop saying it! They have literally made the game that moves machines. Every person I know who has tried this game has gone out and bought it after only a few games online. The game play is fantastic and you don’t want to stop playing because its so much.

myhalo3ranking.png

So the other day it was about 4 of us arab guys playing online, and some of us were talking Kuwait on a 16 person team and most were Americans. The moment they heard us, everything started from there! Probably the some of the funniest sessions ever played, so many of them were shouting “Durka Durka” “Lu lu lu lu lu”, and at one point a Saudi Guy started playing with us who was just making us die of laughter while playing. Some people take the game to seriously, but most enjoy playing the game.

In multiplayer we aim to gain as many medals as possible and gain rank as fast as possible. Well that is some of our goals, some of the guys just play to have a good time. I play to annihilate the people in front of me, and I do like when I find the adversary online who is a challenge to kill. The best part is working together to achieve a task, not just to kill as many as possible.

This game has converted PS3 Owners to XBox 360 owners!

FPS Vest...

blackvest.jpg

This vest was first developed for medical use but then someone found other uses for it. I don’t even care about the medical use, the genius of it is integrating it with First Person Shooting Games (FPS) such as Doom, Quake 3, Call of Duty, and more games are lined up. How much better will the game be once you shoot some and he feels that he is getting shot. For $169.99 you can try out this vest and see how it integrates into your gaming needs. Who ever is on the recieving end of my shots will be feeling the pain!

Halo 3 – XBox Live...

halo3xboxlive.jpg

This is the only game worth playing on XBox 360, and if you don’t own one you should buy it just to play the game. Everyone knew that the game was going to be fantastic and enjoyable without any doubt since they put a lot of effort into the development and they kept delaying the launch to make sure everything was perfect. I couldn’t even believe that we were getting close to September 25th without any delay anouncements yet.

I even managed to get the game before it was launched to enjoy it in its entirity, but even when playing it I’m still amazed at the graphics and gameplay, and the ability to interact with the environment and all the new weapons and machines. Just so much to try and do, I know I’m going to replay the whole game at least three times with increasing difficulty since I want to see how difficult it can get and I also want to explore the areas even more.

The one part which I didn’t expect to be as good as it is was the multiplayer gaming, its nothing short of fantastic. I haven’t played a game this entertainging on multiplayer since Starcraft and Command & Conquer from the early days. The sheer enjoyment and smile I get from winning a round with other players and not knowing anything of them is just fantastic. At some points there are over 900’000 players online on Halo 3 multiplayer and there is a map at the multiplayer start screen showing where the majority are from, 80% are from the US and Europe, and the other 20% is the rest of the world. XBox hit the mark with XBox Live and its paying off now, and you can even enjoy all the game play with your friends, they have managed to work 99% of all the bugs from it which is great. The funny part is that any of my friends that I find online are only playing Halo 3, and it seems the only game worth playing at the moment.
