I now get one day a week to really mess about, and last week I was pretty good to stick to the diet. So I keep thinking what is thing I want to eat the most, and after thinking the whole two days over it I decided on Johnny Rockets, I haven’t had that in a long time.
So we decided to order and I ordered for a few guys too:
And this weeks diet is going to be a disaster, meaning I’m going to be hungry as hell.
Going to Napkit these days has become a habit, and the outdoor seating has been perfect timing since its nice weather. We usually have been going to Marina when the weather is nice, but we have come to enjoy Napkit. And I have to say they really do have good music playing in the early morning. I do get hungry seeing all the different types of sandwichs that they have available. I tend to eat a cesear salad, thinking its healthy enough and its a satisfying meal to degree, but I can still eat some more but I don’t.
Then there is one of our friends who comes in with a very angry face, and it gets better after he has two double espressos for his morning drink. To say that he is addict to it is an understatement. I think my favorite sandwich is called the Crowd Pleaser, and I do like the croissant with turkey and cheese. Its a restaurant with a different selection of items, and again good music.
My friend sent me a sample picture of his newly arrived Nikon D90, and I couldn’t help posting it up. The cat’s name I think is Zait.. and Zait just doesn’t care. The picture quality is great, but I’m not going to say a thing about this picture and will leave it up to speculation.Â
While in San Francisco I was helping a friend with his new home since I was staying there during my minor vacation. He would go to work while I would pick up a few things to accessorize the house, plus I would run a few errands. The other day me and friend drove up to the city to pick some items from Crate and Barrel, and I really didn’t mind the drive. There was an art exhibition in Union Square which was really nice to see, we decided on Cheese Cake Factory since it was close by and I parked the truck in commercial parking since I have those plates, and it is a big truck that won’t fit in normal parking. I wanted to go riding in the city but I didn’t have a chance, its just so nice with an amazing cool breeze. Its a little chilly but fantastic sunny weather which is the best part of San Francisco.
It was a crazy week so we decide to have a rather entertaining weekend. Thursday the guys came over as usual, a little late but still showed up. The point of this weekend was to have a bit of a movie marathon and a really good early morning breakfast. Movies were up for choice, and there were some interesting movies that were picked, and then the point was to stay up even though I knew I couldn’t, I think out of everyone I managed to get the most amount of sleep.
Movies:
The first two I saw from the beginning, but the other two I slep through more then 50% of them since they were played throughout the night. There did involved some Battlefield Bad Company and Rock Band in between. And we switched locations since the other place was more comfortable, and I woke up after two hours of sleep and saw 7 guys passed out all around, it was hilarious. Some slept a little more and some didn’t sleep. It was a crazy day, and there was still a lot left to do.
It was a full and random day, there was a lot to do and with very little sleep I was running around doing a few things with family and friends, and then I was in a zombie state most of the day from my lack of sleep but somehow still moving along.
That felt like a very full Friday
Now this turned out to be interesting event, I went into work early Friday morning to finish up a few things. After that I got a call from the guys that they are heading to Avenues for breakfast, I got there around 10:30 am and we decided to eat at Pauls. Pauls has good service but bad service which is a bit annoying, I noticed that there were Italian flags all over the Avenues but I thought they just made a mistake and forgot the black part of the Kuwaiti flag, but turned out it was a full on Italian Event. Then my friends tell me they saw a couple of Ducatis in the mall so I had to investigate.
Turns out there were some Ducatis, Maseratis, and Ferraris inside the mall. I was admiring the machines these kids were all over the machines and it was really annoying since they didn’t have any idea what they were scratching. There was a couple of Ducatis, a Hypermotard, Monster, 1098, and the Limited Edition Bimota. Its very nice that they do these types of events in the mall.
I don’t think anyone could travel more comfortable then this on a plane. I was laughing when my friend decided to wear these slippers or en’aal naydeyah to the plane to and from Dubai. Its really easy but don’t think you can start running without losing some traction.
It was a nice break, got some work done but still very exhausting. It was an eventful weekend, we finished a good amount of work. Me and few people had meetings on Friday and Saturday afternoon, we which went pretty well.
Saturday we stayed up and enjoyed ourselves, it was a very good dinner. But Friday everyone was pretty much dead, we saw the movies we wanted to see. The funny part is that this whole trip was a very good trip, but nothing in comparison to how eventful, interesting, and bad the Kuwait Airways flight is. I’m going to write up all that happened on the departure and arrival flights, and Kuwait Airways is pretty much as bad as people think it is.
There are two things that can drag out of bed, one of them is when I’m hungry, the other is when I want to kill somebody for waking me up. This time I was hungry as hell and we were calling everybody to get them up for breakfast.
By the time we got to the Avenues in the early morning we were deciding what to have for breakfast. The best thing about the Avenues is the amount of choices you have to eat, the bad part is you have to walk a huge distance to get to your chosen location.
There is a coffee shop that the guys like because it was really good coffee, and not a lot of people go to it, and they have internet. We went to Zaatar o Zait for breakfast which turned into an early lunch, I love their kafta with cheese, and their laham bil ajeen. Then we walked to the newly opened section which didn’t have a lot of new shops, but we did go to Boots, and for some reason I love going into boots and the clean smell. Then we headed to Ace Hardware to pick up a few things, I don’t think I can walk out of Ace Hardware without buying something, they really have a lot of useful items.
