Sometimes I get a craving for some pizza and so we decided to stop by Pizza Express. These days there are quiet a few branches of Pizza Express, I can think of four just off the top of my head (Airport, Bida’a, Avenues, & Dahiat Abdulla Al Salem) and there might be more.
We went into the one in the Avenues and there were a lot of seats to choose from for lunch on a weekday. The staff is friendly and we took our seats, and got the menus. I was very hungry at that point so I was looking through the longs list of choices. They do have a nice selection of salad but I went with the Ceaser Salad and a Cream Chicken Pizza, I tend to the like the white sauce. My friend ordered some meat type pizza and that was something different so I wanted to try it as well.
The timing was pretty good, they brought the salad and then 15 minutes later they brought out the pizzas which were nice and hot. I went through the pizza very quickly as well as getting a bite from my friends pizza, what I love about their pizzas is that they are thin crust and not thick. I really dislike thick pizzas because I’m not enjoying the pizza as much.
Overall I really like Pizza Express since they have good food and good service, its not 100% like the ones in the UK but pretty damn good.

I was out walking with my friend the second day in London and we were hungry. I decided to take him to Automat since they have good burgers and amazing Mac&Cheese! When we went there were a few people and we were damn hungry, usually around lunch time this place is packed but we went a little later. Its two streets down from Bond Street and we were munching at each plate they placed in front of us. It was a good meal after the long day we had, but after that meal we had to walk a lot to offset the amount of food we ate so we walked all the way down to Piccadilly Circus and back, which isn’t too much but just enough.
I stopped by the Avenues the other day since it was close to a meeting we had and so we decided to go in to get a bite to eat. We really had a lot of choices but we decided to go with Noodle Factory even though I heard some very mixed opinions and most of them not too good. I think the whole design and location attracts you to it so we decided to go for it. I am going to say this from the beginning, it was a mistake to go there and there were so many other food choices to go with. I really wanted to try a lot of different items they had since they had a large selection of mixed Eastern Foods. They had Thai, Malaysian, Chinese, and Japanese cuisines which seemed like I could order what I want. We were relatively hungry and between us we got a nice selection. First off the food was soggy at some points, bland in others, sometimes tasteless, and some points we couldn’t eat it. They are trying to do too many things at one time and they aren’t good at anything. I should have listened to all the other reviews, avoid Noodle Factory.

Coming back after work I wanted to eat something I didn’t have for a long time, and this was it. I dont think there is anything better then a Muchboos Deyaay (Chicken) meal with some Samboosak! The right combination of rice, chicken and daqoos is something I enjoy very much.
Enjoying this meal was perfect after a long day and enjoying Justice League Unlimited. People like different parts of the chicken, I tend to be a thigh man since its juicier!
Maki seems to be a favorite for a few people in Kuwait, and so we got invited there by our “other cousin”, I will keep referring to him as that. This is a funny turn of events since the venue changed once and he wasn’t able to come before that. So they decided to go there and I didn’t mind, all I knew is that it was going to be funny night. Sometimes you aren’t supposed to have some people all in the same room at one time, and that happened that evening. We were laughing our heads from the beginning and I was browsing through the menu ordering a few different things, but Maki isn’t the normal sushi place.
I was flipping through and told everyone I’m just going to order a large assortment of items from the menu, between me and my brother we had everything covered in the menu. The funny part about Maki is the Sushi has been localized with names such as Eissa Maki, Manayer Maki, Abdulla Maki, and Majid Maki. The list just keeps going and going, and some people even know who are the people the Makis got named after. Those are the special ones, and I think the Manayer Maki is my favorite maki out of all of them.
It was a funny night from beginning to the end, we were at each others throats the whole evening, someone always taking a shot at the other! Maki is pretty good at some things, and not so in others.
I went to Slider Station for the first time with the Family a couple of nights ago. I have been hearing a lot about it and how good these sliders (min-burgers) taste great and they have a large selection. I tried previously just walking in but they said they were booked up for the week so I didn’t bother going there again until the hype goes down, but I was invited so I didn’t have to make too much of an effort.
Overall I really like the setting and style of the whole place, they did a very good job with the bar seating and revolving belt which has burgers and orders. I like the industrial style to the whole place, but it does feel a bit cramped since bar seating takes up a lot of space. Overall there are only five tables available and the bar seating can seat about 14 to 16 people.
The one thing I really liked was the choice of music, its a combination of dance and lounge which I really enjoyed. Overall the setting is nice, the seating on the upper floor is quite comfortable as well.
When they started bringing the food I was looking forward to trying the different sliders they had as well as whatever else was on the menu. They brought the fries out and the different appetizers which were pretty good but the duck quesadillia wasn’t good at all. When ordering the sliders you order these little guys individually so you can mix it up a bit. When we got our sliders I devoured each one with two bites, and most of them were very tasty except for one. There desert was very good, and people just kept going at it, and its worth saving some space for it.
I think they put a lot of effort into Slider Station and it shows, I just hope they keep up the level of quality they have.

As I was walking through the co-op the other day I decided to check out when chips they might have, and then I came by the Lays Salt & Vinegar I couldn’t help pick up a few since I really like Salt & Vinegar Chips.
I’m one of those people that really like Salt & Vinegar Chips, I really can’t get enough of them if they are in front of me. I don’t really crave them but if they are in front of me I will have a good share of them. Its funny people either love the taste or hates it, nobody is indifferent of the taste of salt and vinegar chips.
I have recently passed by a fruit place I was directed to and picked up some peaches and I have to say that I can’t get enough of them. These peaches taste so good, I remember when I used to take strawberries and dip them in sugar then eat them. These peaches taste even sweeter its amazing, I just go through them like popcorn. I recommend people to go get some since its their season. It has become my breakfast and late night snack!
I had a nice day relaxing at my brothers house, and when I was heading home I got this hungry feeling. After thinking for a bit as I was driving I saw the Papa Jones delivery car next to me so I thought why not and I ordered the pizza just as I was arriving home. The person on the phone said it would take 30 minutes, but they took 45 minutes and I was counting each minute that was passing by, I got hungrier since I knew I was going to get a good pizza.
As I was making my second call to complain my BBQ Chicken Pizza arrived, so I took my pizza and headed to the basement to watch Justice League Unlimited and eat. As soon as I was done I felt good and continued watching the episode of Justice League.
Then I went back upstairs to watch some anime, a diverse bunch if I wouldn’t say:
- 2 Episodes of Naruto
- 1 Episode of Claymore
- 1 Episode of Death Note
I have managed to cut back on the amount of food I eat. It has resulted on two things at this point:
- I don’t sleep right away after lunch, I’m tired after work but since I’m not extremely full I can keep myself from passing out right away.
- I dropped some weight but not the kind that I want. I am moving around quiet a bit these days, but still I haven’t worked out how I’m going to integrate working out into my schedule.
The food taste good, and I do like posting food pictures, it gets the funniest reactions and the chicken was pretty good.
