Its been about 9 days since I saw my nephew, he was traveling with his family. They were out of town for a holiday period, it was a good vacation for them. I’m used to seeing him every week and my niece as well. Through out the week I missed the little ones more then I missed my family, its a strange feeling but I did miss them. So Saturday was a good day, they were coming back and I was going to see them later in the afternoon but due to a few things I was doing I didn’t manage to go until around 7:15 pm.
I saw my nephew in a little dishdasha about to go to sleep, and he stood up and kept saying “Marzouq here!” Do I feel good that he likes me, more then others, yes I do very much. Then there was my nice, she was in her PJs wobbling around which I loved. She showed some interest in me, but I am not here favorite (yet). The first thing my nephew did was run to me while holding his milk bottle but as he came closer he was changing position to make sure milk acts as a projectile towards me. So now he just doesn’t spill the milk, he uses it as projectile liquid. I loved playing with him, then we sat down and started watching Harry Potter which I got pulled into very quickly. I was more into Harry Potter then he was, but he was sitting quietly next to me. I missed the little guy, now I just have to get him addicted to Anime and things will be just perfect.
And it just keeps on kicking, the writers of these shows are geniuses and they have now introduced Clark’s cousin from Krypton, Kara who is quite easy on the eyes. I’m not much into blondes but she could stop traffic, still my favorite on the show is Lois Lane. The season has turned to be interesting there is more brewing under the surface then it is know, and there are some stories left to unravel.
My cousin and I started at 4:30 pm on Friday on Episode 2 of Season 7 to Episode 9 of Season 7 until about 11:20 pm. It was one hell of a good time we just going episode to episode, I wish I had more then two more episodes. Its good when you watch all the episodes in one go, and watching one episode to the next sometimes drives you nuts but Smallville is really good and worth watching.

A friend of the family passed away yesterday, so I was asked if I could go to Bahrain for the funeral. I dont know the man personally but I have heard about him every once and while from my family, so I went to Bahrain in the afternoon for a few hours to give my condolences with some members of my family, and I returned by sun down.
I had nothing to do with the planning, but it was very well organized with a lot of people going to give their condolences.
Today was just a full running schedule, the Energizer bunny got nothing on me!
7:45 Am – 2:00 pm
2:00 pm – 4:30 pm
4:30 pm – 7:30 pm
7:30 pm – 12:00 am
I haven’t had a fun and full day like this in a while, I was feeling tired but I was really happy so I kept going. One funny thing that I did that felt good was to use a trimmer to remove the scruffiness of my beard/goatee, now its basically just a dark area and it felt a lot better. I wish everyday was like this, and of course some anime was inserted in different parts throughout the day.
I love Eid in Kuwait, waking up early in the morning, going to prayer and then heading out from there. I tend to get me a quick frappuccino in the morning since its a bit early, then I go visit my grand mother and great aunts.
The best thing is how empty the streets are and it takes five minutes to get from one end to the other of Kuwait and the amazing weather. You can feel that everyone is in a good mood, and all these kids running around nicely dressed and all happy.
The rest of my Eid mornings will consist of a lot of riding!
I hope everyone is having a Eid
I know now that I am officially the favorite uncle at this point! My nephew has loved seeing the motorcycles during Ramadan riding in front of our house. And he likes the motorcycles in the basement, and since his uncle is always riding he now says “Big Shaykal”, “Small Shaykal” which I find hilarious! He likes my bike but is afraid of the sound.
Now they got him this red motorcycle (like mine) and he rides it with a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads! He doesn’t stop but he is getting better and I hope he gets a sense of balance! I won’t say I’m not loving this, being the favorite uncle is the best possible part since he views me as a source of fun!
The tables have turned over the years, I remember growing up when the family would be giving us kids money. When we were very little we weren’t sure of the value but as growing up we really knew what we were getting. Now that I have been working for a little while I can’t help but give to the little kids. I always gave to kids that I did know and there were times there were a bunch of kids all together, and I would ask them who their parents were but I would give to all of them.
Some of those kids are so damn adorable and especially the way they dressed up. And if there are kids that are special to me I give a them a little extra. The nice part is seeing all these kids dressed up the same, you knew they were from the same family.
When my nephew comes over I always check to see if he just woke up or not, because sometimes kids are cranky if they just wake up. To my luck he was ready to play, and he wanted his uncle! So we took him down to futoor since he knew it was time to eat, and these days he tends to eat some solid food. He always does something funny when he eats, its only a matter of time. So when he was done with his meal, he kept going around and under the table and in every possible direction, he also wanted me to join him in the festivities. He would also ask for desert since it was being offered to him, and I had a feeling sugar my give him that extra boost to run around even more. So when we head up he goes straight to my room, and I managed to sit him down for a bit to watch some anime and get him to love anime. I was surprised this time he sat through a whole episode which is a good sign. Then he ran to the shelf behind me to get one truck, which is really optimus prime. I let him do whatever he wants as long as he doesn’t hurt himself, I like kids to learn from their mistakes but not dangerous ones and he has learned from some of his mistakes. When he was sitting behind me I suddenly hear a tear and I look around to find my crippled helicopter completely wingless and my nephew going vroom vroom. It reminded me of a dragon fly but not wings. I was laughing because he just kept flying with it and I would fix it later but as long as he is enjoying it I won’t really tell him off. I was very happy that he was always looking for me and wants to play with me, you could say I love his attention and his mischevious tendencies do entertain me.
Through all this I would play with my niece as much as possible as well and its funny seeing children a bit jealous but you could tell the children do love each other. When we would clap for the children during a song my nephew would jump and down, and my niece move side to side. Then taking them around in a little plastic car and pushing them is really enteratining for them, and I tend to have my own driving tactics when pushing them. Then when my nephew sees the motorcycle magazines he says “Big Bicycle” which I find to be funny. It brightens my days when the kids are around, next time move breakable items away!
The other day our nephew came and a lot of the other kids came over. The funny part he is only a year and a half when all the other kids were 6 – 8 and he was playing with them. Suddenly they became a little too noisy so they decided to the send to my dewaneya in the basement.
I went down with them to set things up so that they would the least possible damage. We removed a huge table, and they took all the cushions and started making forts out of them. Then I put the Justice League on the tv and they were shocked I had that, it was key to making them remain stationary. When the episode finished they were going nuts asking for the next episode, and so I played it for them and they were stuck to the screen again. My nephew sat next to them because they were all sitting down, it was really funny seeing him with them.
As soon as I plugged in the Gamecube and they played there wrestling game all hell broke loose. The kids were running around who weren’t playing the game. They were all on top of each other if they were playing the game, and of course I jumped in and grabbed them one by one. My nephew was enjoying this whole mess and jumping around as well. After they were done it took a little bit to reorganize but at least they had fun and didn’t want to leave.
Maki seems to be a favorite for a few people in Kuwait, and so we got invited there by our “other cousin”, I will keep referring to him as that. This is a funny turn of events since the venue changed once and he wasn’t able to come before that. So they decided to go there and I didn’t mind, all I knew is that it was going to be funny night. Sometimes you aren’t supposed to have some people all in the same room at one time, and that happened that evening. We were laughing our heads from the beginning and I was browsing through the menu ordering a few different things, but Maki isn’t the normal sushi place.
I was flipping through and told everyone I’m just going to order a large assortment of items from the menu, between me and my brother we had everything covered in the menu. The funny part about Maki is the Sushi has been localized with names such as Eissa Maki, Manayer Maki, Abdulla Maki, and Majid Maki. The list just keeps going and going, and some people even know who are the people the Makis got named after. Those are the special ones, and I think the Manayer Maki is my favorite maki out of all of them.
It was a funny night from beginning to the end, we were at each others throats the whole evening, someone always taking a shot at the other! Maki is pretty good at some things, and not so in others.
