Apple Success...

applestore.jpg

Over the past few years Apple has been getting more and more products rolled out like the iPod, iPod Shuffle, iPod Mini, iPod nano, Mac Mini, iMac, Mac Book, Mac Book Pro, and a lot more. This is just Apples product line, and these products have made Apple very trendy and successful, but there is more to it then just their products. What move their products is all the available accessories, I haven’t seen so many accessories for one product from so many different manufacturers.

The iPod has more accessories then any other product currently out there. You can add it to your vehicle, have wireless connectivity, connect it to your home theater system, connect it a turn table system in a club with full integration, and those are just the ones currently coming out. You can see more and more accessories being released on Engadget for the use with an Apple Product.

Belkin has already jumped the gun and has accessories ready for the Apple iPhone. [Link]

Apple has expanded their products past computers and entering the electronics market. They know this so much that Apple has dropped the word “Computer” from their name and has now become “Apple, Inc”. What is in store for Apple, only time can tell. I’m for one looking forward to the new OS (Leopard), and I want to try it on an Apple product later on this year. Its only a matter of time until Apple gets their product in every home.

Apple iPhone...

appleiphone1.jpg

Here it is people! At last what a lot of people have been waiting for, the Apple iPhone! It has no buttons and runs OS X. It will allow you to use Google Maps, Widgets, and of course iTunes. It might have 4GB or 8GB memory, with quad band GSM and EDGE. This is a very fully featured phone, and there is no stylus to click on the screen. It is pretty damn thin with all the features and its being priced at $599. Its supposed to come out in June, so I’m betting there is going to be long lines at all the Apple Stores coming June.

It looks great and has a lot of features, but like the Apple iPod when it first came out I’m assuming it might have a lot of bugs. I think they have a good product on their hands, but I wouldn’t buy the first generation.

Nokia N76...

For those who like the thin like frame of the Motorola phones they will be happy for this new phone from Nokia. I’m not sure of the release date, but it seems that has lower specs then the higher end Nokias. It has 2 Megapixel camera with the N series OS. I’m not the type to like the flat key pads but it seems they integrated this in an interesting way, but for those who like the slim phones it seems Nokia now has the answer.

Xbox 360 V2...

xbox_zephyr.jpg

Certain rumors about the Xbox 360 have been verified by people at Engadget. It seems that Microsoft is going to release a new version of their Xbox 360 so if you haven’t bought one at this time, hold off for a bit for the new one.

Old Vs. New

  • 90 nm Processor vs. 65 nm Processor
    • Runs cooler and quieter
  • 20 GB vs. 120 GB
    • I dont think its bundled with it
  • Regular AV port vs. HDMI

With all these new features Im assuming they will price it at the same as the current Xbox 360.

USB Chiller/Warmer...

These days they are making odd products which work off your USB. And I think this one is especially useful at the office! For those who want to keep a drink cold during the summer or a mug hot during these odd winter days. It takes about 10 minutes to get hot or cold, but how do they come up with these nifty ideas. Makes you not want to move away from your desk.

Review: Mirage MDT-R Surround...

HDT-Rear.jpg

These Mirage HDT-R surround speakers can be used for side surround and rear surround, and I am really impressed with these speakers. The sound coming from them is extremely crisp and clear with just the right amount of highs and lows. I have watched different kinds of media to see how these speakers perform with them. I watched high quality movies with DTS sound, normal movies, movies with bad audio, Xbox 360 games with lots of sound, and anime with highquality sound. I have to say that they performed perfectly, and for their price I expected them to. There have been times where I have jumped while I was playing Gears of War because of the monster coming from behind and for a split second I thought something was coming from behind me. I can’t recommend these series of speakers enough after trying them for this long.

USB Heated Slippers...

usbslippers.jpg

For those who are freezing their butts off with this cold I think this would come in very useful while sitting in front of the computer or anywhere you have your laptop. You can just connect your usb connections to your laptop and power up the heaters on your slippers. There is a low and high setting for the heat, and their is a different connection for each slipper so one can be hotter then the other.

Room Entertainment...

I think that after a long day usual you want to relax at home especially in your own. This is the setup I have done to to watch everything I want on the screen.

I switched my small factor Shuttle PC to the Shuttle SS31T small tower PC because it was over heating from all the anime and other tv series that I keep streaming to it. Now this SS31T is fantastic, and its almost zero noise compared to the other PC and it can handle its own when I’m doing things on it.

I also have a PS2 below to play some games, and I have my Sony Stereo from 1993 that stills works (My hat goes off to Sony for making a good product), but the dial on the front is a bit messed up but its still really good.

I tried organizing some of my cds, books, and dvds to the best of my abilities but it just doesn’t seem completely tidy, Im assuming it because of the wiring. And I’m planning to use the small factor Shuttle PC to install Windows Vista Ultimate on it when it comes out next month to do some testing and tweaking.
