This is the one phone I am looking forward to from Sony Ericsson. 9.4 millimeters thin and the SE interface with a 2 megapixel camera, includes a 1GB memory with the Phone. It comes in brushed stainless steel in black or silver with an extremely clear screen. When Sony Ericsson hits the market with this phone over the next coming month or two its going to be a hot seller. I for one will start using Sony Ericsson when this phone comes out, I really don’t care for a camera on a phone because of the damn lag. 2 megapixel is good enough for me, and this will do the job of a phone. I really want to get my hands on this phone.
The new Sony Ericsson W610, it has 7 hour battery life, and its meant to be a music listening device. Seems really cool and its a quad band, EDGE only, and 2.0 megapixel camera. It seems SE is coming out with alot of phones over the next couple of months.
I had another meeting in Shuweikh and I was close by to Sun City so I decided to pass by Sony Electronics. I prefer going their because their isn’t much traffic in that area and I was two minutes away. I saw that they had the new 52 inch Sony LCD which has been out for 8 months in Kuwait.
Sony KDL-52XBR2 52″ Bravia XBR 1080p LCD HDTV

US Retail Price in KD: 1460 KD
Sony KDL-46XBR2 46″ Bravia XBR 1080p LCD HDTV

I really think that the 52″ Screen is amazing but the price difference is unwarranted, when I confronted them about it they said its priced by the “mother company” and the Kuwait Agency can’t change the prices. I thought that it was great that they were lying from the start, and the funny part is that I knew more about the product then they did. I said it would be cheaper if I went to Dubai and picked it up and shipped it to Kuwait, and another salesman jumped in and said there would be no warranty, and I mentioned that I’m buying Sony not Wansa. I’m just getting very frustrated with being blantantly ripped off!
I have to say that there is one thing completely lacking in Kuwait which is high quality A/V furniture. If I am spending money on my A/V equipment I want to be sitting on something solid and made so that I can wire the items very easily. After searching around I found the Schroers A/V furniture which is available through ETC Shuweikh or Centro in Kuwait City. These are high quality A/V furniture for all the A/V equipment you bought.
Positives:
Negatives:
Price: 240 KD
Overall :
A/V furniture of this quality can rarely be found and compared to other places the price is relatively low. Online you can get it for $900 and it is very heavey so shipping would be costly. The glass is very thick and supports heavy A/V equipment, and it has a very nice industrial look to it. If your serious with your A/V setup then this is the way to go, and they do have other items of furniture for your sepecific setup, and the price might be high but again your getting unparalleled quality.

I previously I was saying my room was all lit up with LEDs, but this keyboard looks amazing, and it has a detachable number keypad. And the color LEDs light up the whole buttons and they are programmable, I’m not sure of the price but expect something pricy because it has the sleek looks and features to justify it.

So I made two orders from Amazon one was a single mp3 player and the other was a large amount of DVDs. I got the delivery from DHL with all the DVDs in three days including a check from Customs and Ministry of Information. So I was surprised that I even got them, I was expecting a delay from the checks, but I didn’t even expect them to be Kuwait that fast. I still won’t give DHL the crown or anything like that, but I will be trying them more often to see if they are consistent with this performance. If they are then I will be making most of my orders through them which are DVDs, Books, and other items, but electronics, games, and a few other items must be delivered to a US Address.
Currently Aramex is performing at its usual standard I have yet to see how long it will take them to deliver the packages to Kuwait. They are off to a bad start since the box was delivered on the 26th of January at 10 am, it is a Friday but they had all day and a shipping company of this level should be operating on Saturdays just like any good courier service. It was signed for on the 26th of January by K Gordon, but on the Aramex website there no updates, until today it said date recieved on the 29th which seems to me as a bad start. They recieved it ont he 26th but didn’t even register it in their system until the 29th, there should be packages sent off on Saturdays, but seems they only do business Monday to Friday. As of right now the package might be on the way since they might not have updated the information on their website, only time will tell.

I’m going to be ordering through DHL again soon to test if the situation remains the same or if anything changes. Hopefully DHL sustains this level of performance.
In my bedroom I always have something running 24/7 to do something. The thing is when I switch off my lights they do have the ability to light up the room when your guys get adjusted to the darkness.
The list of equipment that light up the room at night:
With this much equipment I have some books covering some and some being covered by small manuals and trying to redirect the light. I thought that some people might be facing the same thing their rooms! My PC is what wakes me up because recently it has been hard to wake up so I do need a good amount of sound to get up and going! And so while my computer is on I make sure its doing something useful like uploading and downloading! So having all the necessary equipment on at all times gets your room lit up with all the LEDs.
LED lights by color:
This is one hell of a cool looking PC! It has 3.5″ HDD, 2GB ram, DVI motherboard, lots of USB 2.0, and a hell of a lot other features. I really like the look of the machine but its only available in Japan! That is another thing the Japanese only have! They have the cool phones, great screens, and lots of electronics! I should probably pass by Japan sometime soon!

Trekstor Vibez
After a while of searching around for a good mp3 player and something new and different I have finally arrived at my choice! The Trekstor Vibez 12 GB Mp3 player! Has the looks and design of a modern mp3 player with a lot of functionality, all for the price of $199. It has the feature to play old mp3s which you haven’t heard in a while, its playlist capabilities are interesting plus all the normal features. And the recharble battery is easily replaceable. I ordered this a couple of days ago from Amazon, but I had to go through Aramex since they won’t do a direct delivery to Kuwait. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. It has only been released in the states since the end of december so it isn’t available everywhere. I will write a full review after using it thuroughly!
