Micro Mosquito Helicopter...

micromosquitohelicopter.jpg

This is one of the funkiest little helicopters I have seen yet. It is tiny compared to its picture and meant for indoor use and its great to annoy people around the office or flying it all over the place inside your home. It has double rotors and its the world’s smallest, lightest, quietest, fully-functional RC helicopter. You just have to charge it for 45 minutes for 7 minutes of flying time. It can take off from anywhere, literally from the palm of your hands! It goes for 50 pounds which is pretty good for something with this much design and engineering put into such a small object.

Sony Ericsson P960 Walkman Phone...

SEW960.jpg

It seems that Sony Ericsson is coming up with a product that is supposed to be competition for the upcoming iPhone. It won’t be out until Q4 of 2007 and it seems it has a lot of great features.

Features:

  • 2.6″ touch sensitive display
  • Video Support
  • 8 GB internal memory
  • UTMS
  • Wi-Fi
  • Symbian OS
  • 3.2 Megapixel Camera

I like the design of the Sony Ericsson phones and this one seems just as nice the ones currently coming out.

Review: Logitech 2.4 Ghz Cordless Presen...

logitechcordlesspresenter.jpg

I have had this cordless presenter for the past few months, and I don’t any person who makes a presentation to be without it. Logitech has again come up with another fantastic giving you functionality and control over the your presentations. It has never been easier to control the presentations, and you would be surprised of the simple controls yet lots of features. It operates by connecting a USB module which transmits at 2.4 Ghz, and its basically plug and play with no software needed.

What it Can Do:

  • start presentation/exit presentation
  • black out the screen
  • forward/back, to navigate through slides
  • volume control
  • laser pointer
  • time limit notification
  • Fabric case.

Pros

  • Has a laser pointer that very useful to point during the presentation
  • You can black out the screen with the click of a button, to help people stop in the middle of the presentation
  • USB reciever stored inside the cordless presenter, and its a small reciever
  • Battery last a long time and has a battery indicator
  • No software needed
  • Very simple controls
  • Timer warnings at 5 and 2 minutes
  • Comes with a very simple fabric case
  • Excellent price

Cons:

  • If you stop a presentation you start from the beginning when clicking the button again
  • I sometimes stick the usb reciever the wrong way into the usb slot
  • You get so used to it that you feel something is wrong when you present without it!

If you do make a lot of presenations that this is the cordless presenter for you, its fantastic, and once you get it you can’t present without it.

Review: Nokia N95...

N95.jpg

I have tried this phone for a little while now since there has been a lot of hype regarding the its capabilities.

Pros:

  • Great bright and detailed screen
  • 5.0 megapixel camera but the pictures are slightly compressed, and great video recording
  • 160 MB built in memory (expandable through microSD)
  • Fantastic web browser and media player
  • Satellite Navigation works great even in Kuwait
  • Messaging is relatively easy with good keyboard access, and other side of the keyboard is good for the media playback
  • Simple to use even with the large of features
  • Battery is decent I get about a day and half of normal use out of it
  • Works with GSM/3G/HDPA, UPnP Wi-Fi

Cons:

  • A bit expensive (210KD)
  • The menu is great but sometimes a bit sluggish
  • A bit on the heavy side, but the is cost of such a large screen
  • With time I’m assuming its going to be more sluggish

Remote Controlled Floating Serving Tray...

floatingservingtray.jpg

This is the lazy man’s floating serving tray! It moves around in every direction and can work up to 8.5 meters away which is great. This is a genius idea for the pool, and whoever is too lazy to leave it. For $50 its great for those who like to lounge in the pool.

Meraki solar-powered Wifi Kit...

meraki-solar-lg.jpg

This is an interesting product from Miraki is a cost-effective way to implement community Wifi, and it is a very good repeater with the ability to broadcast up to 700 feet away. The solar panel is an ingenius idea and works really good in our enviroment, but the solar panel is not priced yet and the outdoor wireless repeater goes for only $99.

iPhone on June 29th...

iphone.jpg

It is going to be an interesting day on June 29th. You will the see the lines for people waiting for the iPhone, they will have to sign for the two year contract and pay $600 for the premium to own that phone. Hopefully it will have little to no issues but only time will tell. A lot of people are probably going to start modding it from day one who are hoping for the SDK Kit.

It is showing the Apple is a little worried about this product since it is getting so much buzz and hype, people’s expectations are extremely high on every aspect of this phone and they have to get it right. So little days left until the launch, and if there is any problem with this phone expect consumer backlash to be severe. No product has been as anticipated as this phone since the turn of the century. We shall see people’s reactions soon.

SureFire Titan Flashlight...

Titanlg2.jpg

SureFire makes the highestquality flashlights with normal bulbs and LEDs. These flashlights take extremely little power, and are very durable. I have had one for over 5 years and used it multiple times and it works underwater. Any product from SureFire is bound to function perfectly and last a long time, especially since all their products are military grade and meant for military use.

surefire-titan1.jpg

The Titan Flashlight is the world’s first continuous variable-output LED flashlight. It can output from 0 to 30 lumens and everything in between. It is selling for $500 but I don’t think its worth it, except if you really are looking for this type of thing. They have other LED flashlights for cheaper which are fantastic, but this is a fantastic flashlight as well.

Even though I know I made an Amazon order a couple of days ago its like Christmas ever time I see an Amazon Box in my room every time I get back from work. I bunched a large order of times all one go so that I can get the cost of shipping down. Whats surprising is they came so fast and even items that said for MOI inspection it seems they didn’t go which is really good, nobody seems to be checking these items and I hope they don’t check it anytime soon.
