Kotobukiya make some very cool models and highly crafted pieces of art for their Comic and Anime fan. In my case I have been a huge fan of Colossus from the X-Men for a very long time. I always thought that he was nearly invincible with his Adamantium Skin and size, I always felt that they didn’t give him a big enough role in the movies, not just the core X-Men team, they have others to choose from who can make X-Men an even darker story.
Well after seeing a few models from Colossus over the years, this was the perfect one, slightly more on the modern design of Colossus from the more recent X-Men and his body and head are proportionate. I love the expression on his face, makes him look even more Bad Ass. The perfect spot on my shelf I see him when ever I walk into my office. At this rate I’m going to need a museum for all these models.
Batman: Year One is a DC Universe animated feature based on the classic Frank Miller comics that re-imagined Batman’s origins in a darker, grittier fashion, and would go on to become the seminal tale of who Batman is, and how he came to be. A wealthy playboy and a Chicago cop both return to Gotham City where their lives will intersect in unexpected ways.
Year One is story of Batman from the beginning of Gotham and the state that it was. This was the entire point of Miller’s comic: bringing readers into the minds of Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon to show the thoughts and motivations that led each man down the path to becoming the character we know today. What I liked about the animation is that it told a gritty story, without all the gadgets, just batman as he became The Dark Knight. I really liked Jim Gordon in this animated movie, he was a deep dark character who has attitude and I think he was a little more developed then even Batman to a degree. Batman cleaning up Gotham and Gordon taking over the law of the town. The only thing I wanted was it to be a little longer and for them to jump into the Frank Miller story, make it a bit darker and for sure a longer movie.

Comic Art is one of thing that I enjoy seeing the most, I enjoy people taking comic art work to another level. Lister has combined different types of art such as pop art, street art, and the youth culture to make this unique piece of work. You can his work was totally inspired by Superheroes, Wolverine being my favorite and Skeletor is pretty cool too.

DC Universe has already another movie lined up and this time its the League of Doom they are up against and they have a lot planned. I really enjoy these types of movies from DC Comics, I always look forward to them, they aren’t block busters but they are pretty good, I usually hope for something darker and grittier like Superman & Batman vs. Apocalypse.
I can never get enough of paint work that relates to superheroes and this one is unique. Heroes depicted by paint and ink blots, you can tell who the characters are based on the general shape and you can also see their expressions through this work. The creator of this beautiful art paint-splattered rendering of Superheroes is a France-based web designer Arian Noveir.

I made this model purchase before the movie even came out, I was so excited to see the Green Lantern since GL is one of my favorite characters from DC Comics for a long time, by far one of the best. I just couldn’t wait for movie so I preordered the Hal Jordan statue using his ring, and the Green Lantern Lantern itself which came with the Green Lantern ring.
I was surprised how cool the Hal Jordan statue was, very detailed look and the green punch forming around him, I loved it. Then Lantern was amazing, it looked exactly like the one from the movi and the added bonus was that the ring fit perfectly, and if you bring the ring close to the Lantern it surprised me, the Lantern lights up which is insanely cool. This is displayed proudly with the rest of my comic and movie memorabilia. Can’t wait for the GL2 to come out, they said its supposed to be darker and edgier which is exactly what it needs to be and they have so much story to use from the Green Lantern comic books, I just can’t wait.
This has been the decade of comic book movies, blockbuster after blockbuster of amazing movies. What people don’t remember is the doubts they had initially and especially of the actors chosen. The list below are some of the actors that people were skeptical about like Robert Downey Jr playing Iron Man, he wasn’t he most dependable character before and people weren’t sure that he could pull off the suave Tony Stark but at this point Downey took Stark to another level and nobody else can play him, with The Avengers coming up and a third Iron Man in the mix. Then there was Edward Norton who is possibly one of the best actors out there yet people were skeptical of him playing the Hulk, and in that movie he embodied Dr Bruce Banner and the Hulk perfectly. And every so off about Heath Ledger playing The Joker in The Dark Knight which turned to be an Epic performance not to be ever forgotten by anyone who has seen the movie, it elevated him to another level. So many actors who were questioned as the characters yet now you would only know these characters through these actors.

I always enjoy how people can interpret the symbols of Comic Characters and this artist took that to another level with a lot of Marvel Characters. Very cool work and Galactus being one of the more imposing looking posters, I would mind having this up on a wall in a certain patern, it would look cool.

Rocawear, fresh off the success of pairing Jay-Z’s lyrics with Snoopy and Peanuts (not Snoop Doggy Dogg), has collaborated once again, but this time it’s Hasbro’s Transformers. Yes, the box office smash hit has partnered with Shawn Carter’s Rocawear for an offering of a variety of t-shirts. Check out what turned out to be an incredible collision of hip hop energy, autobots and decepticons, we’re sure you won’t be disappointed!
As soon as I saw the selection of T-Shitrs from Rocawear with cool collaboration between JayZ and Transformers I had to have them! I love the look of them, I wish they did something on the back of the tshirts as well. I just couldn’t resist the cool tshirts with Optimus Prime, Autobots, and the other Decepticons on it. I picked up every tshirt they had available I just hope that XL fits me comfortably.
I had somethings on hold for a while in my mailbox and my Amazon cart was full for a good two months, I was trying to hold off on making any purchases. Two weeks ago I decided to go ahead with the purchase, got to my mailbox and shipped it with all the items there. It was shipped two weeks back at this point, four days to deliver and the rest it got stuck in customs for while only to be delivered on the first day of Ramadan, a nice start to the day, I didn’t have a chance to open all the stuff up until later in the day but it felt like Christmas.
