I have thinking about this idea for a little while and I have come to the conclusion that I am going to go through with it. The Landcruiser’s sound system is pretty bad compared to other vehicles out there, but now the CD changer has shorted out and it will cost a large amount to replace which I didn’t think was worth. It would be better to spend a little more an get the system that you can. I would get the right system for me since I like to listen to music loudly and clearly.
Right now Crutchfield are helping me with all my choices which is great, all through email and they are giving me reasons to why to take specific products then I would go through the reviews.
The list of items:
I don’t want a Subwoofer if the speakers can handle a little bass in the songs, I don’t want too much of a thud in the sound system so I am going without subwoofers, but I’m keeping them in mind. I know a place that would do a good installation in Kuwait with clean wiring, and I am getting all the components from the states including the wiring since in Kuwait even if you do get certain brands they would be manufactured different then the units you get from the states. I’m looking forward to this but it is taking sometime with the research, and I have wanted to upgrade the sound system for years.
We decided to meet up early Friday morning at 10:00 am to go driving and try out a few cars since we are going to go on the GulfRun on Nov 15th. We had a Carrera S, Audi RS4, Audi R8, and BMW M6, we met up in Mishref and things started from there.
We went straight to the gas station to fill up the gas and check the tire pressures on all the cars. Soon we were on the highway heading towards the equestrian club since there were a lot of nice roads in that area and that we were enjoying for a little bit before starting our excursion. We started down the sixth ring road to the seaside road next to Bida’a, and stopped for some pictures there. What’s interesting is that all the different vehicles having extremely different characteristics and were built for different purposes. For pure power the M6 was the fastest but not the best handling, the best handling by far was R8. The RS4 and Carrera S could hold their own, the RS4 was launching perfectly and since it was four wheel drive it could take off at the line. The Carrera S was handling perfectly and holding with the R8 on a straight line, but on a very curvy road the R8 would put its distance from all the vehicles. It was a very fun day that started in the morning and went through into the afternoon.
As soon as we reached the end towards KPC we stopped to again relax for a bit and we headed down the road towards Le Notre to take the first ring road the car wash to get all four vehicles washed. It was one hell of day, and even driving hard and pushing these cars gets you worked up. Since we were coordinating so much we were thirsty as hell, that is the one thing that got to us all day we were very thirsty towards the end. When we finished cleaning all the vehicles we took the cars back to our starting location before all heading home. We had a fantastic time, good music and a nice start to the morning. After four hours of this event from the morning we all headed home, and the best thing was taking the cold shower and relaxing a bit as soon as I got home. The funny part was there was still a lot left to the day, but did do a lot from the morning.

This unique piece of engineering is called the Tramontana, developed from both F1 cars and fighter jets. It has a look to it unlike any other vehicle, its a $600’000 street legal vehicle with a twin-turbo V12, 720 bhp, carbon fiber chassis, 20-inch wheels, and the safety requirements to make it road legal. Only 12 a year of these machines will be built so there is probably a long waiting list for it.

This is Grimlock, I have had this truck for over 5 years now. I bought it used off of Ebay from an old lady in Texas, she used the truck on her farm to haul the hay and other items. The first thing I did after receiving the truck was to change the sound system since the stock system was horrible and I tinted the windows. I worked at IT company part-time to originally pay for the truck and to pay for all the modifications that I made. So it was a working progress and it was a lot of work, this is the result of a project during my college years. And I really love my Truck since it has a been through a lot with me, and I still have it in the states, I refuse to sell it since its so unique. I don’t think there is a stock piece in that machine. The engine has been changed since I blew the original, its got a dual battery system, a supercharger, an 11 inch lift with 38 inch tires, a fantastic Audio and Video system, and Road Armor bumpers from and back. Some of the modifications I have made by working on it myself at a friend’s garage, and some I had to have professionally done since I don’t have the skills or equipment to do it. The best part is staying in the garage as the modifications are made. This machine is road legal in California but it wouldn’t be in Kuwait. The best part is when all the other cars moving out of the way when I’m flying down the road. And I have to have my Orange Gatorade as I drive down the road.
I always used to haul my motorcycles on the back or on a trailer with this truck to the track or when I go down to San Diego for a long trip. The best part was taking this truck on long trips, so comfortable and we would play video games on the drive down or watch movies. Then we would deploy the motorcycles at our destination if we took them.
speedART has modified an already amazing vehicle to turn it into a demon on the streets. I like the combination of the body kit with the grey rims, and it also helps that they modified the engine and suspension to produce 600 bhp and handle that power. With these modifications this machine does 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds which is as fast as motorcycles. I wouldn’t mind trying to drive this machine on the road.

I was doing my alignment for the Landcruiser a couple of days ago and its usually 5 KD by hand and 10 KD with a computer. I opted for the computer since it would adjust the pull to the left I had, and it was better then before but not straight all the way.
Then one day my CD changer just stops working, the Landcruiser has a 6 Disc CD Changer and it just fails to work at this point. So I’m left listening to the radio but I have a few other options but I am too lazy to work on them regards to plugging a few things in. I was told the only way to fix the issue is to replace the unit from Toyota and its not going to be cheap so I’m looking into other options as what I want to install in its place. I prefer Alpine head units since they have very good quality of sound but once you go into the audio upgrades you upgrade everything and it adds up and I don’t feel like going into that and I doubt the capabilities of those in Kuwait.
This is one of the most unique vehicles currently out there, I think it combines luxury with performance but its a car which people either love or hate. I haven’t met anyone yet who is indifferent about the Bentley Continental GT. They have bumped this car up a notch with this iteration of this beautiful machine. It boasts 600hp twin-turbo W12 engine resulting with a 0-60 mph of 4.3 seconds and top speed of 202 mph (322 kph). The best part is the luxury of the vehicle from the inside and all the features which come part of a Bentley product.

I’m not the usual Ferrari fanatic, and not all their cars appeal to me but it seems that they have done it right this time with the Scuderia. They have taken a good vehicle and turned it into an exquisite sports machine. They have taken their F1 know how and put it into the modification of this machine, at 510 bhp and 100 Kgs lighter then the regular 430 this is one sports oriented machine. I like the combination of red, grey, and matt gold rims. It takes a special type of car to pull off those kinds of rims and they did it with this one.

I have been looking around for wipers since I realized that my wipers dried up and the plastic was basically decayed after some time of use. I was looking into which wipers I want to get, and I didn’t think about getting the factory ones since I knew that I could get Bosch Wipers. With Bosch wipers they are designed in a way to operate better then factory and those were the ones I’m looking for. Right now my Landcruiser doesn’t have any wipers, and I knew I would need them sooner the later.
Bosch Wipers:
If you need wipers these are the only ones to get and no other ones.

It seems the change is happening, the Volkswagon dealership currently belonging to Fouad Al Ghanim is being taken back to Behbehani. It seems there was some litigation in Germany and they got the dealership back. From people that I know who have Volkswagons, and Audis they are very happy with the service they are getting. There is always the case of one or two unhappy customers but the service is far beyond what VW and Audi used to be in the previous years.
I know there has to be a transition period but I don’t know how bad the service is going to be. Up until the change happened a few years back the Audi and Porsche dealership was in the same building with an abysmal showroom, that was the case with Behbahani, and people still have issues with them when they have problems with there Porsche. As a Porsche the vehicle sells itself they don’t have to make any effort, but previously they just let Audi sit there without any effort to sell it. Now you see more Audis and VWs on the road because of the current dealership, I wonder what is going to happen to the people who already own this car.
