Ferrari California Official Pics...

This piece of art will be coming out on towards the summer of 2009, there is a huge waiting list even though there is no deposit for it yet. It is the first Ferrari hard top convertable and with 454 bhp this is going to be one very fun machine. From these real life pictures I think its going to be selling like hot cakes.

Sharpie Covered Lamborghini...

Unless you take up residence in Dubai or Beverly Hills, any time you pull up in a Lamborghini you’re gonna get more attention than a red carpet nipple slip. But if you do live in an area where Lambos and Ferraris are as common as Dodge Chargers, you may want to let Prestige Imports give your super car a makeover like the one they gave to this Gallardo.

There’s not much information on the car, except that the graphics that envelope the Gallardo were hand drawn on with a Sharpie marker and then covered with a clear coat. If we were to buy a Lamborghini, it’d be flat black, Bruce Wayne style. But, hey, to each their own. Check out more photos of the car below.

Now this is an interesting vehicle, never thought that to someone would take a sharpie to a vehicle to make stand out. And even with the clear coating what would this person do if it washes off, and what if he has an accident how the can you fix something like that, I wonder what his insurance costs. Still looks good in a different kind of way really.

Navigation Disc Vanished...

I tend to top up the oil every few thousand kilometers so I took in the car a little while ago, and everything seemed fine. The other day I was going somewhere that I didn’t know so I tried looking for it but couldn’t find it. I usually take out the navigation DVD anytime I take the car to service and this time I didn’t. I passed by in the morning to have an oil change a few parts installed and I complained to them about the navigation disc being missing.

Went back and forth, arguing with the service manager that I know exactly what happened. It was there before the car was taken, and not there after it returned. I kept arguing and a new DVD Navigation disc costs 198 KD, it was back and forth. I’m going to get the car back in a couple of days and there is no way I’m paying for a new Navigation DVD, it was taken by somebody at the dealership for sure. Its annoying when something like this happens and they deny it and say it isn’t there fault for the disappearance.

Batman Tumbler – He Built It...

This guy spent $50-$70 K to build himself a Batman suit and the Tumbler. I think the Tumbler is the coolest Batman vehicle or superhero vehicle ever made. The machine looks like a Beast and as powerful as a tank, and this guy now has it in his drive way.

2008 AC Schnitzer ACS1 BMW 1-Series Conv...

AC Schnitzer tend to make some interesting modifications to vehicles and sometimes odd ones. I have always found the BMW 1-series interesting especially in the right setting and they have modified this one, the exterior looks very nice and nice bump for the engine power, 360 bhp instead of 304 bhp. I think with the right performance upgrades this would be a great

Insane Vehicle Detailing...

I don’t think there is a person out there who doesn’t like to a have a clean car, but this is one amazing job. I probably detail my car once every three to four months and this person detailed his car to another level. This detailing was done by a UK company it took four days and 1300 British Pounds. It includes all forms of cleaning as well as major scratch and paint correction. They also take pieces of plastic off the car to clean it correctly which is great, the picture above is before the wash and the picture below is after, but take a look a link below for a detail breakdown of all the steps taken, its fantastic.

The car looks amazing after all that work, they really cleaned it up. The only place I know in Kuwait that even comes close to it is Al Falah Car Wash after the work they did with my vehicle. They usually take a two days per vehicle or a little more depending on what they are doing.

Review: BMW iPod Interface...

I have been using my iPod Touch for some time now, and thought to use it with my car. After some search I found a few units, but it turns out there is an OEM unit from BMW meant to integrate with the system.

This is the break of audio controls from the BMW Audio Interface, it replaces the CD Changer menu:

  • CD1 – Playlists
  • CD2 – Artist Names
  • CD3 – Album Title
  • CD4 – Music Genre
  • CD5 – Pod Cast
  • CD6 – Displays a certain amount of songs from the music library

Pros:

  • Excellent Sound Quality – Fiber Optic Connection
  • Easily installed – Took about 50 mins
  • Works with all iPods
  • Relatively cheaper then other iPod integration units
  • Uses BMW audio control to interface with the iPod
  • Loads items relatively quickly

Cons:

  • Replaces CD Changer but can easily be returned without any issues. Personally it has no affect on me since I still have 2 slots in the center console, one for DVD/Navigation and one for CD.

These aren’t the best pictures in the world, it was probably because we were cramped and it was humid outside so we just kept on snapping away and wanted to finish it as fast as possible. Now after getting it all done, I wanted to take step by step shots but we wanted to finish up and go somewhere cool.

Overall I think this is an excellent unit, easily installed and it requires no changes to your OEM system. The only real issue I have is the BMW Audio interface itself, so doesn’t matter which unit you install this is the drawback of them all, I wish it would be a little quicker or easier to go through. I do recommend this unit to anyone who wants to use their iPod with their BMW, it works perfectly.

Titan Exhaust Air Jack...

Its always a hassle to change a spare tire, especially in this heat. This is the type of tool that can make the tire change really easy and simple. Within minutes your car can be lifted 30 inches off the ground using your exhaust and it can stay lifted for 45 minutes, and only takes 5 minutes to deflate. Comes in several sizes and starts at $120, when you need it you will love the day you bought it.

Aston Martin One-77...

Aston Martin is coming out with a special machine, at around 1 Million British Pounds. I wonder if this is going to be in the next Bond Movie. Nothing more can be said, the specs speak for themselves.

  • Handmade Aluminum Body
  • Carbon Fiber Backbone
  • 7.0 Liter V12
  • 0-60 in 3.5 seconds
  • Top Speed Over 200 mph

BMW redesigns 7-series, iDrive...

BMW’s have redesigned their iDrive with the redesign of the 7 series, it looks interesting. There aren’t any other details regarding it, I’m just curious how much smoother they made it. I’m not the biggest fan of the iDrive but I think does have some good functionality, and sometimes I want to rip the dial of the car. I’m surprised they haven’t made a software upgrade in over 8 years, at least an interface upgrade to change the look but not the functionality, with this I hope they have made things smoother.
