Moe @ Gumball...

mohammed-al-thani-rr

I got this from an anonymous email, a really anonymous email but I thought I would post it up. It seems that Mohammed Al Thani of Sharjah will be participating in this year’s Gumball, that I am not surprised about since he is a car fanatic of sorts. But I’m surprised he is participating in a Rolls Royce Drop Head, you have to cover 3000 miles in a certain amount of time and avoid police throughout that period, why would you do it in Rolls Royce not one of the many fast cars he owns.

Corvette Z03 – Ugur Sahin partners...

z03_1
Its rare to see a design company that creates concept vehicles suddenly make it into a production vehicle. This is what happened with Ugur Sahin Design, they joined up with Mallet Cars to make for a very mean looking machine.

z03_2

The body has been redesigned with functionality in mind, creating more downforce and more space for engine modifications. The modified body is available for $69,000, but there are also other vehicle modifications which include suspension, interior, engine, and brakes. You can have the Z03 with 700 bhp which will cost you $32,000 or the 999 bhp model for $35,795. All of this and you have yet to include the price of a Z06, I don’t know what the performance of this car will be like but all I know is that it looks mean and it has the bite to go with the bark.

BIC Car Show...

img00087-20090403-1455

Last weekend a friend of mine went to Bahrain to visit some friends at the same time they passed by the Bahrain International Circuit. I didn’t even know their was a car show but the line up of vehicles was impressive. I was very happy he took a snap snap shot of that beautiful Ducati, I think its the special edition model and this person turned it into a track bike, he even has the slick tires on it.

Camaro Indy 500...

I know that this car is getting around these days, but I do like the paint scheme of the Indy 500 Camaro. I do enjoy driving a manual car every once in a while and it may not come close to the performance or handling of the Corvette it still looks like a lot of fun.

Moton ClubSport Suspension...

Driving in GulfRun 4 I have gotten a better understand of my car, to be exact how it acts or reacts to all the different inputs I give it and the extremes. I haven’t learned the limitations of my car to degree, I’m not a race driver but I am better driver then I was before GulfRun. I have improved both power and braking power of my car since GulfRun 3

At this point my car can really take off, and I do love the sound of the car. And it is able to stop on a dime when I put my foot on the brakes. I brake late going into turns because I’m confident of the capability of the car, but I faced issues with understeet because its a heavy car. After seeing a few pictures of my car in corners while I was driving, I realized how loose the suspension was even after stiffining it. At this point I have looked into all possible options, after four months I have decided to go with Moton Suspension. This might make the car a little stiff for the road but a lot better handling then before. Some work needs to be done to work around the custom fabrication but I’m hoping this goes smoothly, but the important part isn’t the suspension but tuning it so that the car acts accordingly. On another note my warranty ended last year so I’m not worried about that too much, and even if I had warranty it would have been long gone after all the modifications I have made.

Porsche Cayenne Design Edition 3...

I have always been a fan of the Cayenne, I always like the Porsche Design line of Porsche with their cars. Now they have applied it to the Cayenne, to be exact the GTS model. With 400+ horsepower and a rougher look to the vehicle. And I do like the interior of the car, but I think they are only doing this because they might be changing the look of the Cayenne soon.

BatSmart...

I’m not a fan of the smart car, not specifically the small looking one. I have tendency to want to push one over when ever I see it, but this one is just on a whole other level. They turned a smart car into a dwarfed Bat mobile, if Batman saw this then he would have it kill itself in a ceremonial explosion. Just brings my hatred towards the smartcar to a whole other level.

Lamborghini Academy...

They have opened up a new track training program and this one does seems to be interesting. For only 3900 Euros you get two days Track Training, One Day Theory, and One Day Track Day with the LP-560-4. The track car is a beast of a machine, and you have an instructor with you in the car, teaching you what to do to get the most out of your car.

The more interesting part of this academy is the Lamborghini Winter Track training which is done in the snow. This is the first time to see something like that, but I wouldn’t mind trying it out.

Lamborghini LP-670-4 SuperVeloce...

Who said Lamborghini doesn’t like making a statement, and with this machine its a loud one. The new LP-670-4 SuperVeloce has a revised V-12 pumping 670 bhp and 487 lb-ft of torque. A neck breaking 0 – 62 mph in 3.2 seconds and an insane top speed of 212 mph. I do like the look of the wing, gives it an aggressize stance.

Bluetooth in Cars...

Most care have this feature in them these days, you can connect your phone through the bluetooth system in the car. When you are on the other end of the phone it feels like there is a lot of space between you and them when they are using the bluetooth system of a car, headsets are pretty good these days, but some cars do have it right. Personally I don’t like using bluetooth systems which are integrated into the cars for one main fact, I listen to music at a high volume. If thats the case then you will hate every time someone calls, because the sound system is going to ring at a very HIGH volume, which might disorient some people, and you will be annoyed. I have tried it a few times, and I just decided never to use it, its really annoying when the phone rings in the middle of a good song.
