It seems that you will be seeing less and less of the Hummer vehicle line in Kuwait as of this year. It seems the reality of GM’s actions are now reflecting in Kuwait, I knew a while back that they are no longer selling the vehicle and that they are not available but now since the deals fell through and they shutdown the plant its come to a different end. No longer will the dealership be able to support any of the vehicle with our without warranty, the H3 or H3 or the pick up versions of them. Spare parts will cease to be provided by end of 2010, and as that happens even if someone wants to keep their car they have to cannibalize vehicles in the market for spare parts. So if you own one your going to be out of support soon. I think its going to be the same case across the GCC, but I thought they would manage to sell the brand and continue to make the vehicles.
A new car listing website popped up in Kuwait or more like the GCC, there are a few of these around these days. I have been tinkering around with the website for a bit now and I like the interface, its intuitive and there are a lot of cars use and new. But they do offer different services then the normal car listings.
Overall a good listing with content I spent some time going through the cars, always fun to see whats being sold.

Now this is one of the coolest and most original ads I have seen from any car manufacturer. Kia has taken it to another level as my brain comprehends that hamsters are rapping Black Sheep’s The Choice is Yours. Its just over the top advertising that vehicle manufacturers and other companies should be taking into consideration, its just original and fantastic. I don’t even know what the Kia Soul is but now I will remember it for sure.
After splitting from Mercedes it was clear that McLaren were launching their own car, and I have been posting about the MP4-12C constantly. Now the interesting part is the steps they are taking, no company has had the same stepping stone as they did. They have a long line of people waiting to buy the car, a lot of money to initially work with, a very successful racing history, and they are on top right now. Everyone wants a piece of the pie, and a large piece of that pie is coming to the Middle East as any car manufacturer knows there are a lot of car aficionados who are willing to pay a pretty penny for their car.
Dealership Breakdown:
What I find interesting is their concentration in the Middle East, 2 in Saudi and 2 in UAE. So 20% of the 35 dealerships which are planned to be opened are in the Middle East. I’m not sure who is going to be the dealer in Kuwait but I do know that Mercedes in Kuwait is one of the perspective dealerships, I’m curious who else bid for it in Kuwait, I just hope that Zianni doesn’t get it because they have the worst service period.

I always knew that Dubai got really tough on traffic laws over the years. I even experienced it myself with all those cameras so I even opted out from driving in Dubai due to my speeding. But this video is just something else, I would never expect to see this in the UAE, burnouts, doughnuts, stunting and all kinds of driving ridiculousness. And if it did happen then the police would come down very hard on them. If you have too many traffic violations the cops even come to you to impound your car, but burn outs in the middle of the high and stunting is not something I would expect to see in the UAE, Kuwait yes, Saudi definitely, UAE didn’t think so
Gumball 3000 begun a few days ago starting in London and ending in New York, and one hell of a drive it was. Over 100 cars participated with a range of vehicles but mostly sports cars. The price to participate ranges from year to year from 10’000 KD all the way to 40’000 KD which is insane, I would like to one day to participate but the amounts are insane for this adventure. I spoke about Sheikh Moe previously and its good that he is participating in Gumball but I didn’t like the look of the RollsRoyce Drophead. I think the best vehicles for this adventure would have been the Nissan GTR, some of the other supercars would have been crap and wouldn’t last. There are a couple of people who take these things very seriously and outfit their vehicles with Radar Detectors, Police Scanners, and Radar Jammers of all sorts. The Batmobile was the coolest car there period!
I have always been a fan of the Dodge Challenger, and I’m loving every modified vehicle that these aftermarket companies come up with. There is something different about a cool muscle car, it might not handle like a German or Japanese Sports car, but its a hell of a lot of fun to drive. Dodge came up with a winner with this machine, it doesn’t mess around, no frills driving machine and surprisingly it handles too. SpeedFactory took this beautiful machine a step further.
A naturally aspirated 600 bhp machine bored to 426 cu. in. from the 6.1 Liter engine of the SRT8. Tweaked suspension, clutch, gear box, and a nice list of goodies makes this one very mean machine. You will have some good Rock music playing in the background driving down the road holding on to the cool shifter, I think the funnest thing about it is that ridiculously tall shifter. Just cruising down the road I wonder how the exhaust tone of a machine like this would be.

There have been a lot of machines that have shocked the car market but none as jaw dropping as the GT2 RS. I always thought of the GT3 RS as the perfect racing machine on the track, I have seen it destroy cars which are supposed to out perform it, but the RS is a Porsche racing breed. I have driven a Porsche GT2 it is a machine that I respect and fear, its capabilities are beyond my skill level, and now they came up with the unexpected RS version, they are aiming to knock everyone off their feet.
Just Some Insane Facts:
Only 500 of these machines will be made at $245’000, so people have to get in line for it. This video pretty much sums up the feeling that I have when seeing it drifting at high speed around a corner, that is the point where I would be scared witless.
An epic battle between two amazing Japanese machines, I think this is the question many have been asking, for all the technology and development of the Lexus LFA is it faster then the Nissan GT-R. Luckily MotorTrend Managed to get their hands on one LFA to try against their Nissan GT-R. The LFA sounds amazing and they are drifting it around corners, and sliding into the next, what a machine.
I know BMW made some beefed up cars, but I thought aftermarket companies made them ready for battle, not a division of BMW. They really take a lot into consideration, completely re-engineering the car carry the extra weight and the different mechanisms to handle the extra security. Its cool that the cars can with stand high caliber bullets and some even prepped to handle mines, the best part of the video is watching them shoot at the cars, I want that job.
