I have been a huge fan of the Transformers series since the 80s, and I loved the cartoons they did in the late 90s and early 00s. The movies came out to a kid who grew up loving this show and wanting them to be real more then anything else, I will never stop thinking one day that we will meat a sentient robotic being from outer space and one that sounds and acts like Optimus Prime. From the original series, to the Beast Masters, to Armada, I loved seeing all the forms of the autobots.
When Transformers Prime came out I was happy it had it’s own story different then the movie and it had a mature audience in mind. They really did jump into the story line of the Transformers Universe, and one the best parts of the show is that Peter Cullen played Optimus Prime who was the original from the 80s show and played Optimus in the Movies. This show pulls any fan in and I wasn’t too keen on 3D animation but they did this tastefully, and I loved how all the characters were introduced as the story progressed. This show ended 3 Seasons and they ended it on a perfect note, it wasn’t always a happy ending and you do get pulled into the story, but this was probably one of the best and most evil Megatrons I have seen.
Each season was more Epic then the next, and the story developed perfectly, it only annoys me that there were only so many episodes to watch but this could be only described as short and sweet. I am a fan, a huge fan in fact and my love for the Transformers spawned from the 80s and grew more as I grew older and this series did make me happy every moment I watch it. There is an hour long Transformers Prime movie which I am looking forward to watching. I just hope there is more in the coming future because there are a lot of people out there that just love the Autobots & Decepticons.
I have been better about watching Anime and getting back into it, trying at least one episode a day, the thing is that its so addictive, its had just to stay at one episode a day, you want to watch 10. My list has been kept full but I am sure to watch one or two episodes when I can, and some of these shows are really good with Attack on Titan being the best by far, waiting for each episode to come out is killing me. Bleach on the other hand I’m loving, I sort of skim through the filler episodes but watch the storylines religiously when I get into it.
What I Am Watching:
Iron Man is framed by a technological terrorist and breaks out to clear his name.
This movie from Marvel brings in the usual characters you know from the Iron Man Universe. War Machine is also thrown into the mix of this movie and I really liked how both Iron Man & War Machine were portrayed. Then there is Shield, with it Nick Fury, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, the perfect mix into this movie and they were some very fun characters. The story line is interesting and ties into Iron Man’s past and the animation is fantastic, I loved the Japanese Animation and Modern CGI Hybrid that they are doing these days. It’s an action packed story with Tony Stark following the leads wherever it takes him, fun on every level.

It’s been 6 months since I have updated this list and I have fallen back majorly on my anime intake. I just got caught up with a lot of work and then there were so many shows to follow up on that I barely watched any anime, but now I am fully immersed in it and I now know what I was missing. There are some great shows and I am catching up on them right away. Its like I’m going full throttle into anime again watching 10 episodes at a time, when I have 5 minutes I watch anime, I watch it whenever I am doing something and I can read the subtitles at the same time, I love this stuff.
What I Am Watching:
20 Years back nobody had a clue what Anime was in the Middle East, nobody even knew the amount of old school gold KTV 2 was getting their hands on. Finding anime was like a game of hide and seek, you really had to look around a video store to find it, and my first exposure to it was in the early 90s at the video club in Salmiya Mariam Center. Now its mainstream and I still love it, there are a lot of great Animes out there to find. With these shows I get hooked on I look for these collectibles, and I use different suppliers from the US, UK, Italy, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Always finding unique items or items with crazy details that I love, I have about 60% of what I buy on the shelves with the other 40% in the largest storage room because I have no where to put them. Previously you have really search through Rihab to find any good items in Kuwait, and sometimes they are cheaper then the US & Ebay, but thanks to Instagram that has changed.
There are a few excellent suppliers who bring a consistent number of models and collectibles and what I love is that these guys really do love what they do. One of them is Q8 Figures, I try to buy from local suppliers as much as I can, if the difference isn’t that much I go for them, and sometimes they are honestly cheaper. You have to appreciate someone who loves his craft and Mohammed from Q8 Figures is one of those guys, he gets unique items I can’t even find on Ebay easily, they pop up every once in a while but I do always find them.
Over the past year and a half I have bought a few unique items from Q8 Figures, and just this week I picked up the Gurren Lagann, Mazinkizer SKL, and Berserk Guts (This was hard to find). I literally made space for them on the shelves, they are amazing pieces and worth waiting for them, and he keeps me checking his Instagram for more unique items. He also has a website with his current stock but to really know what he has you have to check out his Instagram account.

In 1973, an invasion of aliens known as BETA upon Earth is driving human civilization into nearly collapse. Facing an enormous mass of enemy force, mankind has developed large humanoid arms called as Tactical Surface Fighters and deployed them to its defense lines through out the world. However, all those efforts could slow down defeats but could not stop BETA, and mankind is forced to abandon major area of the Eurasian Continent. For 30 years, mankind is bogged down in an endless war against BETA without any hopes of victory.
In 2001, the Imperial Japan faces difficulties in the development of a next-generation main Tactical Surface Fighters (TSF) as it defends the front lines of the Far East. The UN has proposed a joint development program between the Imperial Japan and the United States as a part of its international mutual development project of TSF, the Prominence Project.
This story with exciting human dramas and robot actions takes place in the development of a new Tactical Surface Fighters, the most important and effective weapons against BETA, at a crisis of human extinction.
Yet they never knew that their encounter would change their destiny drastically.
Yui Takamura, a TSF pilot of the Imperial Royal Guards of Japan, is given responsibility for the project and sets off to Alaska. Meanwhile, Yuya Bridges, also a TSF pilot of the US Army, was heading to the same destination.
I do love Mecha Anime, thats the first thing I saw, I didn’t know what to expect, but I love it when I see robots, and this time around Muv-Luv Alternative was an interesting story. You get pulled into the characters from the beginning with a few more interesting characters getting introduced, and the world is fighting a losing battle against an Alien Force that just won’t stop. I can’t help but like because it has the Mecha machines and the battles are cool. The story is decent, not great, there are few things that just didn’t make sense but the battles made up for and the wacky characters too. If you want a good Mecha anime, then Muv-Luv does the job, don’t have high expectations and enjoy.

I love that Marvel is taking more of a Japanese Anime style to Iron Man, and this is movie directed by Hiroshi Hamazaki. The man behind Blue Submarine 6 & Ninja Scroll, so the quality of the anime is bound to be good. I’m excited just watching this trailer, and I hope that Marvel continues with this style. This is going to be released on April 16th which is smart timing since its a month before Iron Man 3 comes out, but I’m curious of how this movie is going to play out with a lot of interesting characters that I can tell from trailer.
Now this is something I really wasn’t expecting, one of the animated shows that I follow religiously and I thought was going strong. This might be the last season of Star Wars on Cartoon Network, and there is still so much to see, whats great about Star Wars is that it’s in a Universe with so many stories to tell, but it doesn’t seem like it is stopping, but they might be changing directions. Still I’m a bit shocked that a show that is doing so well might stop for now, I hope that what ever they do they will continue this amazing animated show in some form. Got to love Star Wars!
While the studio is no longer producing new episodes for Cartoon Network, we’re continuing production on new Clone Wars story arcs that promise to be some of the most thrilling adventures ever seen. Stay tuned for more information on where fans can soon find this bonus content.
I can’t believe it took this long to make another Ghost in the Shell movie, I’m a huge fan and this is sort of a prequel to all of the Ghost in the Shell movies, a build up if you will to Major Kusanagi. I can’t wait to see this movie, I just hope that they come out with another series, its just too good to let it be like this. It’s a 50 minute movie with a July 26th release date for the BluRay.

This could be good… or not. Leiji Matsumoto’s manga (and anime) character is being brought to CGI life in a new theatrical movie from Toei Animation. Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed) is directing from a budget of over 30 million in U.S. dollars. The film will open in Japan this fall.
Old school anime, Captain Harlock was one of the originals that I saw and loved, I for one am very happy they brought it back to life and this teaser looks damn good, can’t wait to watch the movie.
