Review: Iron Man 2

The story has been told and everybody knows of Iron Man, and I was expecting to be amazing but it was even better, if I can find the word for that. You get to see all the aspects of Iron Man as the machine and Tony Stark as the genius who falls into darkness. The script was perfect the characters fit perfectly and the Audi R8 Convertible looked damn hot. A nonstop action packed movie from beginning to end with juicy story that keeps you guessing whats going to happen next. What I loved is that the trailers were all great but they didn’t give away the story. I think every person should watch this movie, there is no question that you will love it.

Now for the stars of the movie, as usual Roberty Downey Jr. knows how to perfect Tony Stark with his darkside and adding his usual wit and banter. Samuel L. Jakson played the perfect tough guy who will kick your ass role of Nick Fury of S.H.E.I.L.D, you can even see the small pieces of the Avenger stories here and there. For any fan you really take the whole thing in, trying to keep up with everything they are throwing at you. Did I love the movie, yes, do I want to see it again soon, DEFINITELY. The two who perfected the movie, a hero can only be made a hero with the perfect villain and in this case it was Sam Rockwell and Mickey Rourke. Sam Rockwell played Justin Hammer CEO of Hammer Industries, the competitor of Stark and he would do anything to beat Tony Stark. The perfect Corporate Villain, no law will stop him from beating the competition even if he is over his head. Now Mickey Rourke just set the standard for evil super villains, he became Ivan Vanko or Whiplash, truly being the evil villain that he is, pure Russian with his belief in destroying Tony Stark. The story is amazing but these characters took it to another level, I don’t know how they plan to top this off, and what to expect for the Avengers, or Thor, or Captain America but Marvel has set the standard high and they have a lot of fans to please, I just keep wanting more of these movies and Iron Man 2 has just set the standard higher then before.

Update:

The Tony and Rhodey roadshow blasted through multiplexes, scoring $133.6 million over Friday and Saturday. With another $194 million coming in from overseas, IM2’s worldwide gross stands at $327.6 million.
