I was with the family at Harrods so I snuck off to the Waterstones and texted them where they could find me. Its the little jewel for me in the building, I can spend hours there and I wouldn’t really notice time passing by, it was on a Saturday and there were a lot of people there for some reason. I have a pattern when going into Waterstones, I check out the best seller list, then the new books, then the 3 for 2 books, then crime, and the best for last which is Science Fiction.
I wanted to get a lot of books but I held back since I was trying to remember which books I have in my basket on Amazon. I felt guilty since I haven’t even gone through the books I had. Last year I finished one book a year, but these days I would be lucky to finish one book every three months. So I felt guilty piling up more books, but its extremely hard to resist getting a good book. So what I did this time was to read through the first chapter of a few books that I was looking at while I was there, then I had to leave to meet up with family. At the same time I managed to snap away in the book store, I love that people don’t even notice me taking pictures even when I’m carrying a big camera. I look like a paparazzi guy that got lost in this section of the building when I should be looking for a celebrity, but nobody has ever stopped me from taking pictures which is great.
