I have to say that this is a hot topic that I have seen debated multiple times. I’m talking about women and marriage, I know women face societal pressures to get married but some of them dedicate their lives to just getting married and set themselves up for a fall.
That isn’t the point I want to cover, the scary part is the planning that women put into marriage, and I’m talking about women with ill intent. I have heard stories of intricate ways women have conned, tricked, or manipulated men they had their eyes on to get married to. I’m not saying that men don’t have their own plans, but there plans aren’t complex at all, and there are bad men out there and they are known to a certain degree. But with women it is extremely scary because they the ability to hide their true nature, and some are bitter to the core. They get jealous of their girlfriends if they lead happy lives. I have heard true stories of women breaking up marriages just to get married to that man or how a woman plays a certain role to trick a nice guy for falling in love with her and then saying that she can’t talk to him unless he marries her. It is a bit insane, I’m not saying that all women are like that I’m just talking about the extent some women would go to get what they want and that is what scares me.
They aim for the guy they want and just wait it out, they aim for the money, the name, the social status, or all of the above and they get what they want. With guys I know that there are bad apples out there but I have never seen nor heard of man who has the capability to even plan the way these women do. And they turn their lives upside down, trying to turn the son against the mother, brother, sister, or father just to get what they want out of him. To have the man under lock and key.
There are those women who are extremely kind and just live their lives day to day, and you meet those in day to day dealings, but the other kind look the same from the outside its just that they are all messed up on the inside.
Like many have said and seen you dont see the good ones as much because they are leading their lives, enjoying themselves and being relatively happy. This bad mentality that some women have is brought upon by the pressure from their mothers and what they view as ideal goals for their daughters. When men a pressured they just brush it off and with women it isnt the case, its more difficult. And that pressure mixed with a person who isn’t nice in the first place makes for a bitter person. That is just my take on things, I could be completely wrong.
There is a shortage of things to buy in Kuwait and that is why people are ordering online these days. Our customs are shamble and there is no real regulation on them, they aren’t held accountable for their bad performance. There is a lock on wifi and voip items because of the MOC.
There are a lot of people in Kuwait willing to buy original dvds, cds, and other items since they dont download. The majority of Kuwait don’t really use torrents compared to the Kuwait online community. There is a lot of spending power in Kuwait, we are willing to buy magazines and books but we are tired of the Ministry of Information treating us like 2 year olds. I prefer spending my money else wear then in Kuwait. I save my money and buy online if I want DVDs, Books, games, or CDs. And if I cant get it online I try to pick it up while Im traveling because I have no other choice. Sometimes while traveling to Dubai for business I pass by Virgin to pick up all the books, magazines, and dvds that I was looking for and thinking about since I get tired of what is offered to us in Kuwait.
Our government is not helping small business develop, and not letting the creative talent in Kuwait grow because of so many stagnant and stubborn people in the government only making things difficult for people.
Some labor laws in Kuwait are just rediculous!
Kids should learn responsibility, there should be laws protecting them from working too much but give them a chance to earn their own money and learn the value of it. Even low pay can help them learn the value of things instead of sitting at home and not having anything to do.
These kids running around in the streets could learn the tools they need to move forward if they had a chance to work. I remember the first time I had a chance to work in the US my first pay check felt like a million bucks, I was on top of the world that day and I wanted to do something rediculous so I invited all my friends out to dinner. I couldnt have been happier since I earned it. Even when I was in Kuwait I used to do part time jobs for the family while I was a kid and that 40KD meant that I could buy at least 10 Sega Games from the place in Salmiiya a while back.
All Im saying is that the kids I see these days have nothing to do and they are turning into brats because of it. If you teach them to get on their own to feet then they will have this inclination to work and become productive. When I see friends who work after classes going to Best Buy to do the night shift, working part-time as a waiter, temp secretary, or any other job you give them the real oppurtunity to work in the real world.
I know there are a few places that allow kids to work in the summer, but when Im talking about is kids who want to work part time after school. What about families who depend on their children to work because they dont have the complete ability to keep the family afloat. I am talking about working in a real enviroment not the child labor abuse that you see in the Kuwait traffic intersections.
I have the deepest respect for a friend of mine who kept his family afloat while they were going through hard times and still working on his sport medical degree. His major is difficult and he worked many hours, and there is not enough I could say about this person except that he has my deepest respect.
Freedom at last! Its been so damn long since my stuff has beens stuck in customs that I thought I was never going to get my DVDs. I cant even remember what was in my order it was a while back now. Its annoying as hell that they did this.
This started October 15th and Now its December 11th.

It took over two months for my items to be released! And there was nothing to hold it for. They make things so difficult and annoying. From what I head PWC or Agility has taken over customs, but I dont know what exactly they are doing. But they are causing problems and one of them seems to be this problem.
My Next Order is going to be soon, but Im going to order a direct shipment to Kuwait through DHL and Im going to see what happens. Its going to be books and DVDs and hopefully it will come through as others have experienced.
I had a meeting in Salmiya at Marina with some clients for a bit around 2:30pm on Saturday, and I had to be back at the office at 4:00pm so I left Marina after a good discussion to go back to the office and I had some time so I decided to take the seaside since its a more pleasent drive back to work, and its away from the traffic jams even though there are more lights its still moving.
I was on the Gulf Road heading towards Kuwait Towers after passing the second ring road stop light. There were a bunch of cars around, and I just wanted to get around them to move forward. So when the light turn green I moved to the left when there was a comfortable opening since I was all the way in the right lane. Then I was behind a white GMC Envoy and I was taking it easy since I was good on time.
When that car moved forward more, I noticed that there wasn’t anything blocking it in front of it so I moved forward as well but I had a comfortable space between me and him. We were moving about 80 Kph and speeding up. Then suddenly he slammed on his brakes and so I hit mine and saw the guy behind me about to say hello to my back end. I swerved left after knowing there werent any cars to my left since they were all making a left turn on to the second ring road.
I thought something must have happened for him so slam the brakes like that and I was lucky to have an opening. Then I saw two young men high fiving each other while leaning to their right on a BMW 7 series with two really pissed of girls. These girls seemed pissed as hell at these to hooligans. I literally lost it! First they screwed up traffic and almost made two cars get into an accident secondly they were harrasing girls that didnt look like they appreciated what those two idiots were doing. And they hit the brakes to see the girls.
Then they went forward and to the right to take off laughing. I was so pissed off I wanted to rip the drivers’ throat out. So I chased them down and opened my window and went off on the driver who was screaming back at me but who seemed shocked that somebody went off on him. I asked him if he is a complete idiot for driving that way and harrasing, and he said everyone else does it so I asked him if he considers himself an animal like everybody else. I was pissed off and he asked me to pull over and I told him to stop acting like a 5 year old, and I told him to come with me to the police station. And that scared him half to death, I could tell that he didnt know how to react to that but keep shouting. Then he said do you consider yourself the respectable one and I said yes at least more respectable then you. Then I told him he is trash and he isnt worth tiring myself with. And then I drove off but I noticed that we slowed traffic down to a snails pace because I was shouting at these two idiots. The other guy didnt say a word, and they just kept looking at me and took the first turn to run away.
That really pissed me off, and I know there is a lot of trash on the streets but I couldnt help but get upset this time. Since he could have made me crash into him, and he almost hit the girl. And it was clear as day that these girls didnt want to have anything to do with them, and they probably were just enjoying a lunch out.
I really feel like watching a movie in the theater. I haven’t done that in a long time since most of the movies are butchered in Kuwait due to the censorship program of the religious MPs which are rediculously pointless and childish.
That aside I have really wanted to watch the Gridiron Gang with The Rock, and I really like the guy in the movies. He has this cool type of character just like in Walking Tall. I usually like sports movies especially American Football movies, and this movie came out a few days after my visit to the states came to an end. So now its in Kuwait and I dont think there is much to be cut in this movie. So I will be checking it out.
The other movie I want to see is the The Guardian since some bloggers mentioned that it isnt that cut up compared to Casino Royale. So I have two choices at this point, but I’m leaning towards the Gridiron Gang.
Im most probably chilling in Kuwait for New Years. I really dont think that Im going anywhere, and I have spent a few New Years in Kuwait and you have to pretty much provide your own source of entertainment. New Years in Kuwait is just like any other day, no real feel to a new year. And thanks to all the religious MPs that we have they banned all types of concerts in Kuwait, which is ludicrous but it is still in effect. The events done at restaurants are horrible, and I went once and I wont repeat my mistake. I have spent New Years in different parts of the US and its extremely entertaining. Things were pretty good in Kuwait until the MPs wanted to intervene, for some reason every time they intervene they usually do something dumb, but they were voted in and nothing much can be done about it.
We were previously planning to go to Lebanon for New Years but that went out the window, and I hope things settle down soon. I havent been to Lebanon in over 4 years, and I was looking forward to seeing how it has changed. And going to anywhere in the Gulf is out of the question.
So I just hope for good weather on New Years day because I will be riding. I dont care how cold it is I will be riding New Years morning!
For a while I was complaining that there arent any high quality A/V shelves or funiture available in Kuwait, and Panasonic in Salmiya has Denon home theater electronics. But there is a home theater company in Kuwait which is run by a man who is passionate about Audio Visuals and high quality equipment. They also carry Onkyo A/V equipment, Mirage Speakers, Meridian speakers, and other theater type equipment. I cant recommend this place enough if your looking for the right type of equipment, and they will install and configure your equipment for you. I like dealing with them, and I have not had any problems working with them. I have two theater rooms setup for feeling the sound of a good theater.
They also carry Omnimount racks, wall mounts, and stands. These are high quality mounts with extreme amounts of flexibility, and a real solid build. Their pricing is pretty reasonable for the real good service you recieve so I dont haggle too much regardin pricing. I really do enjoy going there every once in a while.

It has been strange weather the past couple of days since it could get cold and warm in the same day and we are in the first week of december. I wanted to make sure that people wouldnt freeze in the house so we took out all the heaters of storage and started putting them where they used to be. But I hate having a heater so I never put one in my room, and sometimes because of the weather I sometimes switch on the A/C if no one is in the other rooms that is connected to this A/C system. I love sleeping in the cold!
So after putting each on in its specific location I was slowly switching each one on to see if everything was on. Then I went for the fourth heater, and then boom and a really funny smelling burn in coming out of the heater. It tripped the fuse box for the floor so everything went out and I was going to go nuts beacuse it switched off items on my PC that I didnt save. After a little flip switching in the fuse box I got things working again and I checked that all the other heaters were ok, but damn it stell smelt of a burning after that broken heater. Then I spent 20 mins selectively switching items on in my PC armada! It was funny seeing what happened!
